The reasoning why I put that is not so much the vehicles and clothing (People in the early 80's, the time I assume these films take take place in, still drove and wore them, especially in small towns.), but it is whole "Shuttle sent to Venus" theory in ''NightOfTheLivingDead''. Even though it was not true, no space craft like that would have been attempted in the 80s, as the Space Race was long over, leading me to think they are set years apart. Those redneck at the end of ''Night'' could have actually killed all of the zombies, but ten years later, they all rise again!

When the Explorer space probe mentioned in Night of the Living Dead came back from Venus, the unusual radiation that it brought with it was actually an extraterrestrial energy being. Upon exploding near Earth the probe released its astral hitchhiker, which then carpeted most of America and started bringing the dead back to life to serve as its physical manifestation.
