* LastMinuteHookup: The game is billed as a romance, the cover shows Squall and Rinoa embracing, and the {{foreshadowing}} opening montage closes with them sharing a powerful embrace in slow motion. Yet the whole game is spent setting up their relationship, and their first kiss is the final shot of the game.
Is there an issue? Send a MessageReason:
Actually, I didn\'t \"blow off\" the Ragnarok sequence. I was well aware of that. It appears that you\'re not aware of the way that a Will They Or Wont They Couple works. Look at how many of them share (sometimes extremely) intimate moments, yet those don\'t make them officially together. Not to mention Squall is still grappling with his feelings even after the scene, AND he suffers from a bad case of Cannot Spit It Out, and his statements like \"I\'ve fallen for you\" and \"I\'ll be your knight\" are internal. However, if you really disagree that much I\'m willing to compromise. Delete it from the main page and put it in the YMMV section.

Sorry, that trope was taken off because it doesn\'t apply at all to the game. They hooked up well before that. It\'s fairly obvious when they do (seriously the Ragnarok sequence even had the damn love song, followed by Squall defying convention to rescue Rinoa purely out of love for her). Also took off an absolutely pointless trope name spoiler tag.

Re-adding trope that was deleted. Please remember this part of the trope\'s description. From the page for Last Minute Hookup: \"Keep in mind that even though this is not a {{YMMV }} trope and is usually pretty straight forward, (ie the couple hooks up at the last minute), that Your Mileage May Vary can still apply to this. What one person considers to be the couple getting together, another person may not. For example, the couple may have confessed their feelings for each other earlier, at which point part of the audience now considers them to have hooked up, but the couple doesn\'t have their first kiss until the very end, (or vice versa) and the other part of the audience doesn\'t consider them officially together until then.\"

** "Eyes on Me" is more the Leitmotif for the concept of love itself. Every time something romantic between Squall and Rinoa, or their parents (Its complicated, but there's no incest) or Laguna and Raine, this music plays. In addition, most of the main cast ends up with SOMEONE by the end of the game, and the reason that SeeDs exist in the first place is because Cid loved Edea too much to just outright kill her when he saw what a monster she was becoming (That and Edea before being mind controlled knew a teenager killed Ultimecia)
