''Tales of Monkey Island'' is a 2009 video game, developed by TelltaleGames. It is a five-part episodic game and the fifth in the ''VideoGame/MonkeyIsland'' series. The game begins at the conclusion of Guybrush's latest, [[NoodleIncident unseen]] adventure - the player guides him as he once again defeats [=LeChuck=] with an improvised piece of voodoo weaponry, only to turn the villain human again, release his concentrated evil as "The Pox of [=LeChuck=]" (which infects Guybrush's own hand) and maroon himself on Flotsam Island. Not only that, but her name also appears on the list of "Designer for a Day Finalists" in the end credits of Chapter 4.
* ContinuityNod: It's unusual to see this trope in practice in this series, but ''Tales'' likes it. There are several references to previous Monkey Island games, particularly in a lot of optional dialogue in part 4. Example: ask Elaine to vouch for your character, and she'll give a long list of your deeds. [[spoiler:Just don't expect her to emphasize the positive, as heavily Poxed as she is.]]

* DevelopmentGag: According to the commentary, episode 1's bar fight had to get trimmed down to an offscreen cutscene in order to fit the episode in the Wii's 40 MB size limit. As a result, the bar was named Club 41 as in the 41st MB of content.

Though I can understand why somebody put it there, I\'m removing this because that trope only applies if it\'s 100% clear that the audience is meant to interpret the act in a non-serious fashion; personally, it didn\'t really strike me that way. That, and calling it \"rape\", attempted or no, seems a little extreme in my opinion; the scene was so quick it would probably be more fair to call it \"extreme sexual forwardness in an inappropriate setting.\"

* BlackComedyRape[=/=]DoubleStandardRapeFemaleOnMale: Or rather, attempted rape. In Chapter 4, [[spoiler:a poxed Elaine almost goes down this route with Guybrush, before she catches Morgan's scent on his jacket and assumes they were having an affair.]]
