* BadassBookworm: Doctors, lawyers, and others who have used knowledge to save lives, defeat threats to life and property, overcome diseases and injuries, construct fair laws, and more. Scholars and teachers who preserve knowledge and encourage learning, even if learning puts one at risk or teaching does. Journalists (especially of the IntrepidReporter variant) can qualify as this as well - they are bookworms and writers - but at their best are also providing a vital service to society by increasing knowledge, even of things some people might not want known.

* BailEqualsFreedom: This is more common in democratic third-world countries where a suspect can be released from detainment at a local precinct by buying off the station, note that this only works on lighter/petty crimes - this method will ''not'' work on criminals that commit heinous crimes.

Ambiguity is required in more homophobic cultures and societies, and some people who grew up in more repressive times or have many other reasons may just hint at their sexuality with no obvious statements. ** This is known as "kitchen sink approach" in some criminal prosecutions where the goal isn't necessarily to prove the worst charges, but just to put the criminal in jail/prison, hopefully for a long time. This is where the term "throw the book at him" came from, as a judge would try to throw every possible charge against someone in the book. After all, one million charges of jaywalking can accomplish that goal...

* AtomicFBomb: It's quite likely that you ''will'' hear one of these at one point or another, even if you assiduously avoid all forms of media that could possibly contain one. Lost or obviously stolen property, sudden vehicle breakdowns, and the realization a disaster is happening are often frequent sources.

* BaldnessAngst: Pretty much anyone who loses their hair or has it forcibly shaved off will experience some degree of angst about it at some point, though a few will eventually learn to embrace it.

* AboveTheInfluence: Refusing to have sex with someone whose consent may be compromised [[SlidingScaleOfSillinessVersusSeriousness is a sign of integrity, maturity, and not being a rapist.]] Refusing to have sex with someone who is wanting to do it for reasons that severely conflict with your own values or desires (e.g. you want love and they want money) is a sign of being a mature adult with a healthy approach to sex.

* CardCarryingVillain: Many serial killers are fully aware of the depravity of their actions and love every moment of them. Even leaving signatures at the sites of their murders that psychologists interpret as either the killer asserting dominance over their victims and the authorities or reliving the thrill of their kill.

* BlueAndOrangeMorality: Mental disorders can lead to people developing moral beliefs that any average person would find kinda silly at best and completely incomprehensible at worst. Also animals. Most animals (even domensticated ones) have no problems performing acts most humans would find repulsive, such as infanticide or cannibalism.

* ButHeSoundsHandsome: The internet has enabled this form of [[PolishTheTurd turd polish]] quite well - it is easy for people to create accounts to shill for themselves or for other people, and some {{troll}}s do this when spearphishing: if they can get you to add or trust their "friend," they have access to your account and identity...
