** Type 2: [[AuthorityEqualsAsskicking Most Hyakuji High teachers]], Student Characters with more than [[TookALevelInBadass one season's worth of upgrades]] (i.e. Chizu [[BlowYouAway Yamamura]], [[CastingAShadow Damon]] [[BadassBookworm Ark]], [[HenshinHero Hajime Go]], Otoha etc.), most villains on the C to B threat level.
** Type 3: Hiro Tsukasa (without WorfEffect) and some [[AuthorityEqualsAsskicking Teachers]], [[ShockAndAwe Nickle Ryuko]], most seasonal [[BigBad Big Bads]], or any villain that falls under the A to S threat level, HumongousMecha such as Hyakuzor and King Kaimu.
** Type 4: [[Franchise/FinalFantasy Aeons]], [[Anime/YuGiOh Zorc]], [[HeroKiller any villain that hits the S+ to L threat level]], [[Creator/HPLovecraft Cthulhu]]

* OneRiotOneRanger: Whenever the world needs saving, it's often the superpowered teens of Hyakuji High who step up to the challenge instead of a crack team of the world's elite special forces. And bear in mind Hyakuji isn't a extremely high powers setting like the MarvelUniverse or [[Anime/DragonBallZ DBZ]], where the average super has a high chance of being a OneManArmy or PersonOfMassDestruction. Given the general PowerLevels upon which the site operates, [[RedshirtArmy militaries from]] RealLife [[MugglesDoItBetter can easily pack more heat than the entire school]], so this trope is very much in play when the Hyakuji students are involved at the forefront of saving the world instead of say, the military.

* DoingItForTheArt: Remember, this site has been running for seven years now, and features a wide array of plots and character archetypes. Whilst some members do it solely out of fun or wish fulfillment, others work painstakingly to craft a truly good narrative, managing to tie various ideas together into a coherent plot, despite so many things that might otherwise conflict with each other.

* WorldOfBadass: Whilst by no means are most, or even the majority of the cast fighters, a good portion of the site's IC population are certainly good at kicking ass and taking names. And as for [[TheChick the]] [[NonActionGuy exceptions]]? [[TookALevelInBadass They learn]], well at least most of them do. It's almost like if you aren't a badass when you enrolled, you will almost surely become one by the time you graduate.

** [[ShockAndAwe Nickle Ryuko]] used to struggle with one as well in the form of [[PsychoElectro Kinclex]], although in his case thanks to the machinations of HotScientist [[EvilGenius Lillian]] [[MadScientist Arion]], [[EnemyWithout Kinclex wound up gaining a body of his own]], effectively becoming Nickle's EvilTwin.

* EyepatchOfPower: Part of Jameson B. Willicott signature outfit, along with his [[NiceHat Fedora]].

* InnocentFanserviceGirl: [[CountryMouse Wakamurasaki Fuu]]. One could never help but realize how little she cares about how much her skirt flies, when she even wears one. Also, her power happens to be VictoriasSecretCompartment.

* WakeUpGoToSchoolSaveTheWorld: Applies for most characters, given that a large number are students at the school, and a fair few others are teachers. The two sides aren't always mutually exclusive either.

* MagicalGirl: [[Manga/CardcaptorSakura Quinn Bailey]] and [[Franchise/PrettyCure Setsuna Higashi]].

* InstantAwesomeJustAddDragons: [[{{Ojou}} Selene Frostfire]] is able to summon a wyvern to serve as her mount and CoolPet.

* ThePowerOfLove: One of the HumongousMecha stored at the school runs on it. Naturally, its based off designs from the [[Anime/ShinkonGattaiGodannar Dannar base]].

* BullyingADragon: Some characters are victims of this, although the late [[OurElvesAreBetter Rozanny]] [[PlayingWithFire Katar]] seemed to have had it [[FantasticRacism especially]] [[BreakTheCutie hard]] for her. Those [[TooDumbToLive poor sods]] really don't know what's good for them...

* BrokenAce: Rin Kimiko, also known as the [[AbsurdlyPowerfulStudentCouncil Kaimu Student Council]] President. Not only did she have high level psychic powers, but she designed a machine that was, from a statistical point of view, not only more powerful than Hyakuzor, but was constructed in a significantly reduced time scale. Unfortunately for her (and everyone else of course), she was [[AGodAmI batshit crazy]].

** As the above implies, the system has a progression for characters who have stuck around for a significant time. The current system is that each character who has been active (largely subjective, but very forgiving, the only exceptions tend to be characters who have literally just been made within the previous 2 months or haven't been used at all) can have one new ability or upgrade an old ability come June 1st and December 1st every year. It is severely frowned upon for veterans to "bully" a newer character, even if it would [[JerkAss make some sense in-character]], though a justified whupping is fine, and often PlayedForLaughs. The core concept is that no player should feel like they don't matter in a situation, so situations are often tweaked to accommodate others. Hyakuji is not hyper-competitive, being more interested in collaborative storytelling as a whole instead of PvP combat roleplays.

* CrossoverCosmology: Definitely, though how precisely the various pantheons work tends to vary, some being closer to their mythological selves, whilst others operate under, say, ShinMegamiTensei mechanics. You've got Babylonian, Celtic, Judeo-Christian, Shinto and a number of others running around. Even the works of ''Creator/HPLovecraft'' shows up, let alone freaking ''DaiZyuJin'' of ''Series/KyoryuSentaiZyuranger''.

** Arcadia contains many references to supernatural anime, such as ''Manga/DGrayMan'', ''Manga/{{Bleach}}'', and ''ShinMegamiTensei''.

* ShutUpHannibal: Done by, of all people, [[TheCutie Hayate Kokuroi]] after a [[BreakThemByTalking particularly nasty session of]] BreakTheCutie at the hands - ahem - [[ManipulativeBastard words of]] [[HumanoidAbomination Simon Morris]]. Would've almost become a CrowningMomentOfAwesome if it weren't for the NoHoldsBarredBeatdown she received from the villain immediately afterward for her troubles.

* CrisisCrossover: Shin Season 2, The KingdomHearts season, used a number of [[PlayByPostGames other sites]] the admin and/or member-base had founded or played on as the other worlds.

* [[AWizardDidIt Hiro Did It]]: The explanation of how everyone forgot about Arcadia between the KingdomHearts season and the current one.

* NeverFoundTheBody: Jameson invokes this trope during the KingdomHearts season. He [[UnexplainedRecovery gets better]] afterward.

** Most seasons have a common theme. The most recent season was based off of ''KingdomHearts''.

* UltimateShowdownOfUltimateDestiny:[[invoked]] Given the site's 'anything-goes-rpg' status, and how a number of anime characters are used as the basis of profiles, there's a lot of room to work with. Would you like to see [[Anime/YuGiOh Zorc]] versus [[VideoGame/SuperRobotWarsJudgment Granteed]]? [[VideoGame/FinalFantasyVII Zack Fair]] versus [[KingdomHearts The Heartless]]? Its happened folks!

* RasputinTheMadMonk: Not only is he here, but he's working for [[Creator/HPLovecraft Cthulhu]].

* XanatosSpeedChess: [[RasputinTheMadMonk Rasputin]] has clearly been taking lessons, if the recent string of Arcadia missions are any indication. Man's certainly determined to bring about TheEndOfTheWorldAsWeKnowIt.

** And then there was [[http://pastebin.com/6RayYPd0 the troll profile Pancake Mix submitted to the Join forum]] under a proxy-hidden new account, doubling as a ShoutOut to TheTaleOfSephirothGokuTheStampede, gleefully trying to make the worst MarySue ClicheStorm possible. Laughs were had, though the profile wasn't kept around due to the Join forum needing frequent cleanup. That link functions, incidentally, as an example of the site's character template as of writing, as well as a shining example of what not to do with it.

* VillainsActHeroesReact: [[LampshadeHanging Lampshaded]] by Lavender during the Hyakuji Festival as she [[BreakingTheFourthWall muses on why the heroes are always the ones taken by surprise]] instead of the other way around.
