Then again, he may have considered it his shame, since he immediately drives to church while repeatedly saying "sorry" to God.

* SurprisinglyRealisticOutcome: A rather tragic example. Todd has trouble remembering his Mother's face and what she looks like because of how young he is and how long its been since she died (ignoring the fact nobody has physically aged since she died, of course).
** Ned himself still grieves over the loss of both Maude and Edna and same with Homer and his mother.

* AbusiveDad: Ned puts his faith before his own son, who's having a crisis of faith due to losing memories of his mother. He kicks him out of his home so he'd be scared by the Simpsons.
