* BreakTheHaughty: Besides her massive thrill-seeking addiction, Roxy's main personality trait is how extremely smug she is, never taking anything seriously and always believing that any event works to her advantage since she's NotAfraidToDie. Upon learning Batman actually intends to arrest her, she's seen looking noticeably upset for the first time.

* LeaningOnTheFourthWall: Roxy's career in Hollywood is called back to by her constantly comparing events to setpieces in a movie script. As it just so happens, all the script notes she refers to tie to what actually happens in the episode, such as the screen fading to black after she escapes Penguin or the third-act climax being the third-act climax.

Dan Riba was the director on both this episode and "Critters". On the latter's DVD commentary, Riba acknowledged he intentionally inserted the Farmer Brown truck shot to establish the villain before his debut.

* TakeThatKiss: Roxy blows Batman a kiss before she escapes during their first chase, with her calling it a "great first date". Later, when Batman is hanging from a construction site with one hand and holding a piece of art Roxy stole with his other, Roxy smirks down at him and mockingly makes a kissing sound at him before blowing up her rocket.
* TogetherInDeath: Roxy thinks that this is what Batman wants to do with her towards the end, when he neither abandons the rocket nor lets Roxy divert it. She loves the idea and screams how he is "the greatest" and as they plummet towards the ground together she whispers to him how "the final stunt is the best". She is a bit disappointed when he uses a parachute to save them but brushes it off as living to "play another day" with Batman.
* VillainessesWantHeroes: Roxy gains a major crush on Batman for being able to keep up with her and she calls the two of them "the perfect couple". The ending shows how she is perfectly accepting of the idea of dying with him in a stunt. She is heartbroken when he doesn't return her feelings and simply slaps the cuffs on her after everything they went through together.
