** The same newspaper also features and advert for a cross wacky, arm-flailing, inflatable dicks, which are being manufactured by Wally Wackford, this being the second time he's been acknowledged in season 2.

* RapeIsASpecialKindOfEvil: Even though he’s the literal embodiment of the sin of Lust, Asmodeus believes that carnal passion should be nurtured and consensual above all else, so he refuses to make love potions, since they force people to love in a non-consensual way, viewing them as something beneath even him.

This is later PlayedForDrama in the episode, and it's shown that the OpenSecret that the Deadly Sin of Lust is deeply in love (with an [[FantasticRacism imp]], no less) has dealt a serious blow to Asmodeus' reputation amongst Hell's elite, and is what prompts Crimson to [[IHaveYourWife kidnap and ransom Fizzarolli]].

* TheTapeKnewYouWouldSayThat: When Ozzie starts responding to Crimson's message, Stolas points out that it's likely a recording. Cue Crimson acknowledged in the recording that Ozzie likely has just said "YouHaveNoIdeaWhoYoureDealingWith".

* CerebusRetcon: The white spots on Blitzo's face and Fizzarolli's white skin? They're not just some AmazingTechnicolorPopulation detail or clown makeup to go with the latter's jester ensemble, they're ''burn scars'' from the fire that destroyed the circus the two of them grew up in.

** Fizzarolli just so happens to run into Blitzo in the Greed Ring, leading to a fight right in front of the building where Crimson and Striker are having an interview. This allows Striker the opportunity to prove his with to Crim's mob by lassoing Fizz (with Blitzo in tow), allowing Crim to hold Fizz as a hostage to exploit Ozzie.

* FakeArmDisarm: Fizz’s right prosthetic arm gets damaged during the escape, visibly showing a few cut wires. After returning home, Asmodeus swaps it out for a new one.

* ButForMeItWasTuesday: {{Downplayed}}. Asmodeus ''does'' remember the events of "Ozzie's", but after mentioning those events to Stolas when their meeting starts, he puts it in the backburner as the topic soon shifts towards Stolas asking for an Asmodian Crystal for Blitzo.

* IWantMyBelovedToBeHappy: Implied to be the reason Stolas went to Asmodeous for an Asmodeous Crystal to give to Blitzø. He's most likely well aware that if Blitzø gets the crystal, he won't need Stolas' grimoire and their arrangement will be effectively null and void. But he sees that Blitzø is unhappy in their relationship and feels that it is purely transactional as he said as much at the tragic end of their first date. But if cutting that transaction out of their relationship and giving him a 100% legal means of running his business, even if it results in Stolas' never seeing his beloved imp ever again, makes Blitzø happy, then so be it.

* ReasonableAuthorityFigure: During his meeting with Stolas, Asmodeus is perfectly understanding of the prince's position when he reveals that he wants to give Blitzo an Asmodian Crystal, which Ozzie's succubi use to travel to the human world, in order to give his business a legal way to travel there. Asmodeus himself doesn't mind it, but points out that his partner-sorry, ''business'' partner-''really'' hates Blitzo and probably wouldn't approve of the Sin of Lust giving him anything at all. Once Fizzarolli gives Ozzie the a-okay to give it to Blitzo, he has no problem with giving it to the imp at a later date.

* SpannerInTheWorks: Crimson's plan hinged on a lovestruck Asmodeus agreeing to an eternally binding contract in exchange for Fizzarolli's freedom. However, because Stolas had happened to come to Ozzie for a discussion about giving Blitzo an Asmodeus crystal, he ended up being present during the meeting with Crimson's crooked lawyer. His presence helped stop Ozzie from impulsively signing away all of his assets--including Fizz's life-- because Stolas was willing to take the time to [[ReadTheFinePrint read all the terms of the contract]]. This hold-up bought time for Fizz to escape with Blitzo and get home before Crimson's deadline, rendering the blackmail/ransom threat null.

** The beginning of the episode has Fizzarolli help schedule Asmodeus's day, which includes meeting a distributor for an incoming shipment of vibrators, as well as safety meeting behind a ''recalled'' shipment of vibrators. While Fizz is out, Ozzie oversees a factory creating toys. One of the experimental models exploded in his face during a field test, in a literal sense.

* FreezeFramaBonus: The gossip tabloid Fizz checks in the morning not only calls Ozzie a hypocrite for, as the embodiment of lust, having a lovey-dovey relationship with an imp; the same article calls out Fizzarolli for [[{{Goldigger}} using Asmodeus for his "fat wallet]] aside of his fat dick, and even accusing him of double-timing with Mammon, showing that people believe the only way an imp could get that level of fame and influence is only if [[CastingCouch he's sleeping with his superiors]]. No wonder Fizz goes above and beyond to protect Ozzie's reputation and keep him from seeing it.

* HistoryRepeats: In order to save Fizz from Striker, Blitzo blows up some gas cans behind Striker. But Fizz gets caught in the blast and is almost burned alive again like the incident at the circus that ruined his and Blitzo's friendship. Blitzo reveals to Fizzaroli that yes, what happened when they were younger was entirely his fault for pushing a cake-carrying imp aside and the candles from the cake caused the fire. While Blitzo at first insists that the entire thing was just an accident, he admits later that, accident or not, he is at fault for what happened.

The mobster steps right on the peel, but much to Fizz's frustration, the mobster keeps right on going like nothing happened. Fizz even groans "That usually works!" before the mobster reaches him.

* UptownGirl: {{Discussed|Trope}}. While in captivity, Blitzo and Fizz end up discussing their affairs with Hell's nobility. Blitzo bitterly states that royals who have affairs with the lower classes don't actually care, stating Stolas is only having sex with him as a "novelty". Fizz quietly says, with a forlorn expression, that that isn't true for ''all'' royals, thinking of his own loving relationship with Asmodeus, suggesting it's something that nags at the back of his head, at the very least. He also snarkily points out that Stolas ''does'' genuinely care about Blitzo, though the latter is too bitter to see it. Striker then interrupts and states both of them are [[CategoryTraitor race traitors]] for even ''fraternizing'' with the nobles.

'''Crimson:''' Ya probably just asked if I know who I'm dealing with. And oh yes, I know. The weakest and most non-threatening of the sins! The king who will do whatever it takes to save the worst kept secret in all of Hell! We both know you won't risk anything happening to the clown. So be a good little bitch boy, and do the thing.

* ANaziByAnyOtherName: Striker's hatred of Demon Royalty is expanded to being hatred of ''anything'' that puts Imps down, with both Blitzo and Fizzarolli calling him an Imp Supremacist after he calls them "embarrassments" for fucking Demon Royals.

* LethalChef: Discussed. Fizzarolli is such a bad cook, that [[HaHaHaNo Ozzie first laughs at the suggestion, then coldly shoots it down]]. Apparently, Fizz thinks his cooking skills are so bad, he might be able to burn milk.
* LeaveTheTwoLovebirdsAlone: While Fizzarolli and Asmodeous are sharing a tearful reunion following the former's rescue and return, Stolas decides to leave them be, putting on his hat while smirking evilly at Crimson's lawyer who is frantically trying to prepare for his own escape.
* LikeFatherLikeSon: Stolas claps and giggles excitedly the same way his father did in "The Circus".

** While Asmodeus is tending to him, Fizzarolli goes WideEyesShrunkenIrises when he sees the former take out a pair of scissors from a first-aid kit. It turns out Asmodeus intended to use it to cut away the sleeve so he can replace Fizzarolli's wrecked robotic prosthetic arm with a new one, which he does.

* OhCrap: Crimson's shark attorney has such a moment when he sees Fizz barge in through the door into the office, meaning he has lost ''any'' leverage over Asmodeus, he lost all chances to get a good contract out of him and there's no longer anything stopping Ozzie from obliterating him right there. It gets worse when he realizes he lost his chance to run while packing his paperwork away.

* OpenSecret: How much Ozzie actually cares for Fizz more than a FriendWithBenefits is considered Hell's "worst-kept secret", and described as such by Crimson. Fizz even reads a tabloid about it, awkwardly trying to hide it from Ozzie. By the end, Ozzie doesn't care and he more than implies that he can silence anyone that makes it an issue.

** The white patches on Blitzo's face are revealed to be scar tissue from the fire when he was younger, illustrated via the flames enveloping the area around his eye when it first occured.
** Similarly, Fizzarolli's face and neck is shown to not be makeup, but scar tissue too, most of his face having been caught in the flames ''and'' exploding fireworks. His nosetip is only red because he had a clown nose on when the fire happened, saving only ''that'' much from the burns.

Blitzo made it clear that that the circus fire was a legitimate accident, and Fizz revealed that he was able to recover from it, leading to his future fame as Mammon's star and relationship with Asmodeus. Had Blitzo visited him sooner, Fizz would have forgiven him then, but his higher ups kept them out of communication for years. As such, even after learning all this, Fizz says that he can't just forgive him after years of silence, but their escape from Crimson's mob is enough to at least try to make a fresh start.

* BrickJoke: The beginning of the episode has Fizzarolli toss a tabloid of Ozzie being a hypocrite in having a loving relationship despite promoting lust. At the end of the episode, Ozzie already knows about the rumors but cares so little about it because he's still one of the Sins and can make them shut up.
