On one hand, Mabel was convinced [[BenevolentBoss being nice and polite]] to employees would get her far. But the only way she could get Soos and Wendy to shape up was by being aggressive and assertive, like Stan. Stan figured he could make more money going on vacation (specifically to a game show) than he would saying "please" to his employees. But as luck would have it, he lost the final round on the game when he was too proud to ''literally'' say "please".

* BrickJoke: The final word for Stan to guess, and the one that makes him lose all his money is the same he mocked Mabel at the beginning, "please".

* ComicallyMissingThePoint: Mabel did not quite get Stan's joke about the complaint department.
