* The ending comes as close to confirming a romance between Korra and Asami as possible without an actual kiss. While the wedding is still going on, Korra and Asami have a heart-to-heart talk with Asami admitting that she wants a vacation. Korra then offers to take Asami anywhere she wants and it'll only be the two of them, and Asami suggests that they visit the Spirit World because she always wanted to see what it is like. At the portal site, in the final scene of the show, they hold hands, walk into the new Spirit Portal, and then put all four of their hands together, turn to face each other, and [[HeldGaze lovingly gaze at each other]] as they teleport away.

Probably on the technicality that Poki isn't a depiction of a human. Also note that even despite the discretion shot, Meelo still has vomit-stained teeth in the aftermath. It really looks like the storyboarders and animators got away with as much as they could have concerning the grossness of the scene.
