->Now really quick, let's look at things from a different perspective. Let's go to an alternate universe. The year is 2013, and VideoGame/TheLastOfUs I has just come out. It features a doctor and his daughter in a post-apocalyptic world. The doctor's constantly trying to do the right thing, but the world is decaying so fast and it's hard for him to recognize right from wrong. Then at the end of the story he finds a girl who's immune to the virus but he realizes he has to kill her make a cure. And since the world is already looking really bleak, he decides he has to make the hard choice to sacrifice this girl in order to try to save humanity. It's a tough choice, but he knows that he has to do it because he is one of the last people alive who cares about mankind. But then that little girl's dad kills him because humanity truly is selfish and at the end of the day people don't really want to be saved. Seems like a decent story to me, I could see that being in a video game. But then a few years pass, and in this alternate universe VideoGame/TheLastOfUsPartII comes out, and then we have to play as those other people. "How dare Creator/NaughtyDog make me play as these lunatics! They were clearly the villains of the last game, Dr. Abby's Dad was the true hero! He wanted to save the world! They killed my dad, and now they live in this peaceful country town, are you fucking kidding me? That's not fucking fair. Joel is evil, why would Naughty Dog try to make me feel bad for killing him? Wait, now I have to play as his daughter, are you kidding me? She's a psychopath!" Do you see how silly that sounds? I didn't even change the story, I just put it in a different order. My point is that people are criticizing this game with the most surface-level observations, it's so shallow the way people are talking about this story. I'd say that I enjoyed about 60-70% of this game and the rest either bored me out of my fucking mind or made me angry.

->How could anyone hate this game? It's a hilariously silly parody of fighters in general. If you played it as a youngster you're more likely to enjoy it later on than people who never did. It's a nostalgic game and is actually really fun with two players. Overall, a game with both Boogerman AND VideoGame/EarthwormJim is at least worth trying just to play as them.

->The original cut of the film was 5 hrs and 25 minutes. After the critics savaged the film and it had an opening weekend of $12,000, [Michael] Cimino thought it was in his best interest to trim a little. He cut it to about two hours but it didn’t help. [Creator/UnitedArtists] was panicking and tried to sell it to anyone, ANYONE who was interested. Critics still didn’t like it and thought it was too murky and too hard to understand the dialogue. UA was bankrupt, and it was their minor hit of Film/ForYourEyesOnly that helped them sell to Creator/MGM. Cimino never really got another job again and while the movie has a small (tiny) cult following, it will never make its money back. It is the bomb to which other bombs are compared to.\\\

->While on television, it's one of the great punching bags of Doctor Who: Underworld. A story that I could simply and cavalierly lay into for a myriad of faults and get absolutely no comments from anybody suggesting that I was being too hard on the story or being unfair. ->While on television, it's one of the great punching bags of Doctor Who: Underworld. A story that I could simply and cavalierly lay into for a myriad of faults and get absolutely no comments from anybody suggesting that I was being too hard on the story or being unfair. This is the one Creator/TomBaker story to slot in the bottom ten on the DoctorWhoMagazine Mighty 200 poll. Lawrence Miles declares it the worst story of the 1970s. It's crap. it's garbage. I kinda liked it.

->This is an ill-compounded mixture of romance and matter-of-fact. The idea of a connected and collected story has obviously visited and abandoned its writer again and again in the course of composition. The style of his tale is in places disfigured by mad (rather than bad) English; and its catastrophe is hastily, weakly, and obscurely managed…We have little more to say in reprobation or in recommendation of this absurd book…Mr. Melville has to thank himself only if his horrors and his heroics are flung aside by the general reader, as so much trash belonging to the worst school of Bedlam literature — since he seems not so much unable to learn as disdainful of learning the craft of an artist.

->Not only am I an old school Disney fanatic, but I am a Disney/HomeOnTheRange fanatic. Anyone who has a serious problem with that, don't bother criticizing or insulting me over it because I believe that inspiration can come from anywhere in any form. I listen to my heart, not let others decide my favorite movies for me. Everyone is free to like or dislike whomever and whatever they want which I am aware of. But no one has a right to judge me over my own taste in family films just because a few of them are "underrated" or "unpopular" by society. I would also say the same thing for Pixar's WesternAnimation/Cars in which I loved both films and the Mater shorts.
