Their third album, Art Vandelay, was released on iTunes in September 2013, with no announcement by the band, and no announcement by the record label until a few months later. In April 2014, Short Stack reunited as a band and released "Television", the first single and music video from their upcoming album "Homecoming".

The band formed in 2005 and consists of Shaun Diviney, Andy Clemmensen and Bradie Webb. They have released a demo album, 3 studio albums and a number of EPs. They have also supported numerous bands on tour such as Simple Plan, Good Charlotte and The Veronicas and appeared on a wide variety of Australian TV shows.

They're very well known due to the invention of Short Stack TV, a series of Website/YouTube videos starring the band, mucking around, being the band. Short Stack have in the past supported numerous bands such as Simple Plan, Good Charlotte and The Veronicas, and they've now accumulated quite a large fanbase.

A major part of their success has come from their use of the Internet to promote themselves, and a large number of their fans are from outside Australia. While the majority of their Australian fans happen to be teenaged girls, they do have a number of older and wiser fans who still like the band.

In March 2012, the band decided to go their separate ways. Shortly afterwards, Shaun Diviney formed his own band, Diviney.
