* SanitySlippage: An increasingly large fraction of humanity undergoes this as Planet Remina moves ever closer to Earth. Soon enough, the only sane people left alive apart from Remina are a handful of bystanders [[spoiler:and the elder Mineichi son]]. [[spoiler:They also become the sole surviving members of the human race in the end.]]

Added DiffLines:

** Somehow justified. By that point, what's left of humanity has generally become so desperate and far gone that they're willing to do ''anything'' to put an end to their misery.

** In fact the manga shows just ''how'' it gets there. The breakdown of society early on is merely icing on the cake.

Added DiffLines:

* InformedAbility: Remina (the person) becomes famous because of her association with Planet Remina. She (reluctantly) uses the fame to become a famous idol. It's never made clear what she ''does'' beyond standing on a stage/in front of cameras and looking pretty. It's possible people are paying to see precisely that, making her career AnAesop about the inanity of fandom, or something.

** Perhaps somewhat justified in that the angry masses were being egged on by te cultists, but otherwise yes - this trope is played fairly straight.

A single-volume manga by JunjiIto. Like the rest of his works, it's filled to the brim with plenty of BodyHorror, [[EldritchAbomination Eldritch Abominations]], and general HighOctaneNightmareFuel.

Added some tropes. There are really no indications of any Blue And Orange Morality. Diabolus Ex Machina is about a plot twist, Giant Space Flea From Nowhere is a videogame trope. Lighter And Softer is for works becoming more kid-friendly, while here an entire chapter is about Remina being tortured. And quite frankly I doubt this was a reference to Galactus or Marvel comics in general, since planet Remina has no herald for example.

* BlueAndOrangeMorality: Planet Remina, possibly. There's evidence that the planet is not only alive, but sentient. But who's to say that planets capable of sustaining life don't just taste better? [[FridgeBrilliance Which may be why it savors Earth, after having eaten other planets quite rapidly.]]
** Notice it takes the time to actually eat Mars and the Moon, which are stated to have bases, whereas it just smashes and absorbs the gas giants. It definitely prefers life.

* CrucifiedHeroShot: Remina, her father and the hobo are all tied to a cross so they can be sacrificed. [[spoiler: The angry mob stabs her father with spears, and then lights them on fire.]]
* DeadLineNews: An anchorman is reporting on the situation with planet Remina and the riots all over the world. Just after mentioning that an angry mob is hunting down Remina, he is attacked by two MalevolentMaskedMen.
--> '''Cultist''': [[AC: [[WeInterruptThisProgram We interrupt this broadcast]] to bring you a message. We represent a concerned group of citizens who love Mother Earth. [...] There remains but one way to save the Earth. Find Professor Oguro and his daughter Remina. Destroy them.]]

* HowWeGotHere: The manga begins with Remina tied to a cross, surrounded by a huge crowd and a couple of [[MalevolentMaskedMen shadowy figures]] who want to kill her, while two monstrous eyes watch the scene from the sky.

* LighterAndSofter: Given JunjiIto's usual work, this actually qualifies. It ends on a surprisingly upbeat note, with a message about hope and the value of human life.
