* AmmunitionBackpack: Taken UpToEleven in ''Ultimate''. For the final battle, Seras' anti-tank rifle gets upgraded to a fully automatic belt-fed version and she uses a pair of them (with the appropriate reserve of ammo, many times her weight) to go GunsAkimbo against the vampire Nazi zeppelin.

* BreakTheCutie: Throughout the first half of the series, Seras was very upbeat and happy. Then Zorin Blitz came along and [[spoiler:forced Seras to re-experience her mother and father's brutal murders, her mother's corpse-rape, and then being shot by the guys who killed her parents]]. To make it worse, Zorin then proceeds to [[spoiler:cut off Seras' arm and slice her eyes open]]. Finally, after Pip [[spoiler:saves Seras from Zorin, gets shot and then stabbed in the back with a giant scythe, he [[DyingDeclarationOfLove kisses Seras and tells her to drink his blood]]. And then he dies in her arms.]] This is a [[BreakTheCutie Break the Cutie]] taken [[UpToEleven Up to Eleven]].

* CoolVsAwesome: A [[WithGreatPowerComesGreatInsanity crazy]] [[ChristianityIsCatholic Catholic]] [[ChurchMilitant paladin]] versus {{Dracula}}, [[{{Alucard}} also known as]] [[EldritchAbomination Aluc]][[UpToEleven ard]], versus [[StupidJetpackHitler a suped up exiled battalion of]] [[ThoseWackyNazis Nazi]] [[OurVampiresAreDifferent vampires]] that want to [[TakeOverTheWorld take over the world]] [[FunetikAksent für der]] [[ForTheEvulz evulz]].

** Anyone Alucard fights to the point of being a RunningGag. It went UpToEleven when [[spoiler:he invocated every single victim in the form of a ghoul to annihilate the entire Millennium battalion, Maxwell's Holy Crusade, and Walter]]. On the other hand, Alucard was subjected to one ''himself'' by Abraham Van Helsing, who not only defeated him at his strongest, but humbled him so thoroughly Alucard wound up a defender of humanity.

* BigDamnHeroes: Many times.

* BigFancyHouse: Hellsing Manor.
* BioAugmentation: Used by Millennium to create [[{{Ghostapo}} vicious Nazi vampires]].

* BloodKnight: Like with AxeCrazy, it'd be easier to list the characters that ''aren't''.

* AwesomeMcCoolName: Arguably ''everyone''. Alucard, Integra Fairbrook Wingates Hellsing, Zorin Blitz, Heinkel Wolfe, Rip Van Winkle...

* PantyShot: Despite Seras and her ever-changing breast size, her short skirt never shows anything [[spoiler:until the final chapter's epilogue, where we see her underwear briefly as she kicks a door open]].

* CastOfSnowflakes: While it's not a series with LoadsAndLoadsOfCharacters per se, the main and secondary characters in it are all extremely stylized with completely unique outfits, hairstyles, facial features, weapons and poses that make them look entirely distinctive.

* AuthorAppeal: Not surprising, given that some of the characters are adapted from the author's earlier work in hentai. Frequently appearing fetishes include glasses, gloves, androgyny, [[RapunzelHair very long hair]], and incredibly large weapons. (Note that Rip fits ''all'' of these.)

* NiceHat: Who ''wouldn't'' want Alucard's hat?

* CreepyCoolCrosses: Most notably Anderson and his underlings. Alucard is sometimes seen with them as well, and they're a running theme in the series itself.

* MohsScaleOfViolenceHardness: ''Very'' high rating. Sits between a 9 and a 10 in the earliest volumes before [[FromBadToWorse permanently moving to Level 10 later on]].

* CriticalResearchFailure: Maxwell dubs his campaign to [[spoiler:conquer England for the Vatican]] as the Ninth Crusade. He should have double-checked his counting - the Ninth (and last of the classic) Crusade was fought in 1271-2.

Oh, and yes, there's also the [[WebVideo/HellsingUltimateAbridged abridged series]] made by Creator/TeamFourStar. You know, the guys who made ''WebVideo/DragonBallZAbridged''. So there's that.

* NotSoDifferent: Played straight with Alucard and Anderson, to the point where Alucard cries ManlyTears because their lives are so similar. A more direct parallel is drawn between Alucard and the Major (by Alucard himself, no less), where Alucard notes that they are both the types who would sacrifice and destroy everything around them, whether enemies or allies, in pursuit of their mad ambitions. It goes so far as to show [[spoiler:the Major on the verge of being executed when he was an SS officer in Russia in the middle of Alucard's flashback to his own battlefield execution by the Turks]]. The major difference between them turns out to be that [[spoiler: whereas Alucard embraced vampirism in order to escape death, the Major rejected it out of the desire to preserve his humanity. Or at least his ego. However, he also had the Doc make him into a cyborg as apposed to just, ya know, dying. So he really wasn't much different from Alucard. He just became a different kind of monster in order to maintain his individuality.]]

* HellishHorse: When [[spoiler:Alucard pulls out all of the stops, he summons them]].

* BadassCreed: Please see Iscariot's chapter-long Pledge of Kickass. Also, Major's famous monologue about war is incredibly badass, being the textbook (if villainous) example of CrazyAwesome.

* TruerToTheText: The manga got a more faithful adaptation in the form of the {{OVA}} series, titled ''Hellsing Ultimate''.
