This refers to the tendency for characters to crack[[note]][[HehHehYouSaidX heh heh, you said "crack"]][[/note]] jokes about the planet UsefulNotes/{{Uranus}} and its {{unfortunate name|s}}. In other words: Uranus is the butt[[note]][[HehHehYouSaidX heh heh, you said "butt"]][[/note]] of jokes. Attempts to rectify[[note]][[HehHehYouSaidX heh heh, you said "rectify"]][[/note]] this usually try to vary the pronunciation (YOO-ruh-nus, although sometimes people get this wrong and say "urine-us", which is just as bad). Although there might be a case for OUR-ran-os, which may be closer to the original Greek.[[note]][[AncientGrome Uranus is the Romanization]], [[OddNameOut unlike the other seven planets, which use the actual Roman names.]] And also [[HehHehYouSaidX heh heh, you said "Greek"]].[[/note]]

Obviously, this trope is almost exclusive to the English language, since other languages use different words (or at least different pronunciations) for "Uranus", "anus", and "your".
