There was also an episode where one of his teachers turned out to be the Korean Dragon.

** To clarify: Huge order of thousands before the series starts to 7 or possibly 8 in BBS. Then by number one, there's 3. Two and 358 give us another three. Although three of these are technically Sora, and two are technically Ventus. And one no longer exists, and another one now no longer ever existed in the first place.

*** Technically the Orange Lantern Corps has lots of members...it's just that none of them are alive. Whenever Larfleeze kills someone he steals their soul and turns them into a ring construct. Larfleeze's prolonged contact with the orange light has caused him to become one with it, and he has the power to summon ''thousands'' of Orange Lantern Constructs at a time.

* ''KingdomHearts'' is a debatable example. At first, it sounds like Sora's Keyblade is the only one in existence, and he's the only chosen master. Then we get Riku (briefly) and Mickey, and that's just in the first game. The sequel adds Roxas, Riku (for real this time) and Kairi, a prequel adds anywhere between five and a [[FieldOfBlades whole legion]], and a spin-off adds yet another. Sora seems to be the "main" Chosen One, but the details are still a little vague.

Arguably, FMA is NOT an example since both viewers and characters are aware from the beginning that Alchemy isn't a special power than only Ed and Al have.

* ''FullmetalAlchemist'' arguably, though it's also a bit of a subversion. Many, of the alchemists are part of the military or were at some point. However, Ed is special due to his ability to do alchemy without drawing out a specific circle, [[spoiler: though his arms DO form a general circle, as do Izumi's, which can be used for any alchemy Ed knows how to do. He even does a cheap version of medical alchemy because he read about it in his research.]]

** Confusingly, the numbers are chosen by the agents themselves, rather than assigned, and are no indication of rank or seniority. Meaning that the group we follow aren't considered special, they just happened to be the only ones to choose 1-5. And that in an incredibly baffling coincidence, not one of thousands of arrogant brats wanted to be Number 1 before Nigel Uno came along.
** Just a thought, but maybe because kids would rather be a higher number, than just being a measly "one", remember all those arguments on the playground,i.e "Yeah well infinity plus one"
** Or perhaps the old numbuh one was decommissioned before Numbuh one was chosen.
