* The inversion listed in ''WesternAnimation/StarVsTheForcesOfEvil'' gets reversed in ''Fanfic/QueensOfMewni'': everything Star believed was BasedOnAGreatBigLie perpetuated by Eclipsa's ''first'' daughter, Luna the Child, who had been so ashamed of being the daughter of the Queen of Darkness that she rewrote the Book of Spells and used the Locker Spell to erase Eclipsa from Mewni's history entirely, as well as herself from Eclipsa's memory. In reality? Star's a legitimate descendant of Eclipsa from Luna. WordOfGod said she had an ''epic'' HeroicBSOD when she found out all her actions were for nothing.

** Then there's the sequence in Kabumpo in Oz, where it's revealed that a wooden doll is actually a princess. Princess Peg Amy of Sun Top Mountain was transformed into a tree by an evil magician; later, an old man carved a doll from said tree for his goddaughter, and the doll was later brought to life by means of a magic potion. The Princess of Sun Top Mountain was foretold to be the rightful bride of this installment's protagonist Pompa, Prince of Pumperdink. The magician went through all this subterfuge because he wanted to marry the princess himself, and was hoping to keep her isolated and trick Pompa into marrying someone else. Naturally Pompa marries Peg Amy once she's turned back into her human form, and they all live happily ever after, except the magician, who explodes into dust after contact with one of his own potions.

** In Season 3, when Brady decides to leave the island of Kinkow [[spoiler: in order to move back to Chicago and temporarily abdicate his throne as one of the Kings of Kinkow]], coincidentally King Boomer finds out that they're not just twin siblings, but they're actually triplets, and that a third triplet brother of their's named Boz, is also supposed to be one of Kinkow's co-kings along with Brady and Boomer, making the nation of Kinkow a triarchy/triumvirate. [[spoiler: Boz then moves to the island of Kinkow upon Boomer's invitation and essentially replaces Brady as the Co-King of the nation alongside Boomer. In real life, the reason for this change was because Mitchel Musso who portrayed King Brady was asked by Disney Channel to leave the show when he was arrested for driving under the influence after the end of the second season and [[ScrappyReplacement his character was replaced by Adam Hicks]].]]
