* This is the case of Millia Rage's hair in VideoGame/GuiltyGear, being alive and prehensile as well. Some of her attacks make her hair grow by necessity.

* In VideoGame/DontStarve, Wilson can grow a beard that reaches his ankles in just over two weeks.

* In ''Manga/RanmaOneHalf'', the title character once accidentally drank a special rice porridge made from a one-of-a-kind dragon's whisker. The porridge made him continuously grow excessive amounts of hair unless his hair was tied up from the dragon's whisker or when he his [[SexShifter gender was changed]], as it only effects men.

* ''WesternAnimation/JosieAndThePussyCats'': One of the first style hops is to the Seventies disco era. This causes Valerie's sensible hairstyle to bloom into a large Afro almost instantly. Even Valerie is surprised at this development.

* The 1994 ''WesternAnimation/FantasticFour'' cartoon had Dr. Doom mention some of his failed inventions while recounting his backstory in the three-part episode "The Mask of Doom". One of these failed creations is a hair restorer, which a bald man is shown having applied to his head and smiling at his hair growing back before he quickly becomes excessively hairy.

* ''WesternAnimation/StevenUniverse'': In "[[Recap/StevenUniverseS1E13SoManyBirthdays So Many Birthdays]]", as Steven's RapidAging causes him to become elderly, he grows a grey beard and it it and the hair of his head gets bigger, longer, wider and shaggier as he ages even further.

* ''WesternAnimation/{{Visionaries}}'': In the [[SeriesFinale last episode]], one of the Sun Imps has the ability to make people's hair grow rapidly.

* ''WesternAnimation/StarVsTheForcesOfEvil'': [[ExactlyWhatItSaysOnTheTin "Marco Grows A Beard"]], caused by Star's magic. It's so rapid it fills up their entire ''house''!

* In ''Webcomic/DraculaRulerOfTheNight'', after Lucy is bitten, her hair grows out as a result and gets less groomed. After she turns, it stays perpetually long. When Mina likewise is bitten, her hair likewise grows out as she grows closer to turning with even trying to cut it causing it to grow back instantly. By the time they confront Dracula, her hair is growing out enough for BlindingBangs and even moving ethereally signalling she near undeath.

* Lampshaded in ''Film/HerculesReturns'' when Samson grows his hair back in time for one last fight scene at the end of the movie (Delilah cut it to stop him fighting).
* ''Film/IndianaJonesAndTheLastCrusade''. The BigBad drinks from a false Holy Grail and suffers from RapidAging, including having the hair on his head grow very quickly.

* In ''Film/TheSantaClause'', rapid beard growth is one of the signs that Scott is turning into the new SantaClaus. First he complains to his doctor that it grows back in a few hours; when he shaves later, it grows back instantly, which is part of what makes him finally accept the truth. (His hair also changes to white whenever he tries to dye it.)

* ''Literature/HarryPotterAndThePhilosophersStone'' mentions several incidents from Harry's childhood when he [[PowerIncontinence unknowingly used magic]]. In one, Aunt Petunia cut his hair ridiculously short, leaving the fringe long to hide his scar. It looked ridiculous, and Harry was so stressed about going to school the next day that he willed it back to normal overnight.

* Happens to Usagi in the Franchise/SailorMoon manga and ''Anime/SailorMoonCrystal''. Her hair is already very long, but after she's revealed to be the Moon Princess, it begins to grow several feet long every few hours and she has to lock herself in her room to hack it off constantly until the effect disappears.
* ''Manga/PingPong'': Applies to any character when they leave their team.

* ''Anime/DragonBallZ'': [[SuperMode Super Saiyan 3]] causes Goku's normally [[AnimeHair gravity-defying spiky hair]] to grow down to his knees.

* Fried and Juvia from ''Manga/FairyTail'' both cut their hair before and after the fighting festival Arc. After the Edolas Arc, it returns to its original length for reasons unknown.

** One episode has Hilda mixing up some 'Hair Soup' to give her RapunzelHair. It also gives her some mutton chops and eventually a full beard. [[spoiler: Sabrina unknowingly eats some at the end and gets a mustache]].

* ''WesternAnimation/YellowSubmarine''. While the Beatles are in the Sea of Time they undergo RapidAging and their head hair (including beards and mustaches) start growing out quickly. Ironically, the song that accompanies the scene, "When I'm Sixty Four", starts with the line "When I get older losing my hair...".

** Invokes this when Homer is shaving, possibly to mock the {{Hair Reboot}} as well, Homer will have a clean chin for a few seconds before it grows again. ** In ''HarryPotterAndTheGobletOfFire,'' [[TricksterTwins Fred and George]] use an Aging Potion to try fooling a magical barrier that only adults can cross. The barrier flings them backwards and causes them to suddenly grow long, white WizardBeard. [[ActuallyPrettyFunny They think this is hilarious]].

* In ''Literature/HarryPotter'' at one point during his childhood, Harry's aunt cut off his bangs, almost shaving him except for the part that hides his scar. It looked ridiculous, but magically grew back before Harry's next school day. Justified because, well, AWizardDidIt (albeit unknowingly).
** In Goblet of Fire, Fred and George attempt to fool the goblet into letting them enter the tournament by taking an aging potion. It doesn't allow them to enter, but it does cause them to instantly grow long white hair and beards.

* In one ''Literature/{{Goosebumps}}'' book, the protagonist begins growing hair on his hands and face that keeps coming back no matter how often he shaves it off. He thinks at first that it's being caused by a strange sunscreen solution that he and his friends tried out, but it turns out that [[spoiler:it's a sign that he and his friends are reverting back to their original dog forms]].

** Patrick can instantly grow hair in specific hairstyles.

* ''Film/ThePeanutButterSolution'': when the main character loses all of his hair by seeing ghosts, the ghosts teach him to make a magical paste that causes his hair to grow back at a supernatural rate. He eventually discovers that his new hair can be used to make magical paintbrushes. It's the same old story.
* ''Film/BodyBags'': The "Hair" segment features a balding middle-aged guy who receives a mystery treatment from a strange health care society. He grows a giant mane of hair overnight, but the hair just keeps growing all over his body, ''including on his teeth''. It turns out that [[spoiler:the "hairs" are actually parasitic wormlike aliens who need human brains for food and it's already too late for him.]]

* In the beginning of ''WesternAnimation/ThePrincessAndTheFrog'', we see [[BigBad Facilier]] offer a bald man a voodoo hair tonic; it regrows his hair, then promptly causes hair to sprout all over his face and hands as well, making him look like a werewolf.

* In ''AsterixAndCleopatra'', the henchman of the villain Artifis vows never to shave his head again until the pesky Gauls are killed. The rate at which his shaven skull becomes extremely hirsute then becomes a running gag.
* In [[{{Comicbooks/Wolverine}} Weapon X]], Logan's rapid hair growth after they shave him for the Adamantium bonding procedure is one of the first signs that their test subject is more than he seems.
