!! As part of the HateSink [[https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/posts.php?discussion=1628824070036034800&page=1 TRS Effort]], an index is being created for unsympathetic tropes.

Not everyone in fiction can be an IdealHero or a BreakoutCharacter. Stories generally have someone to dislike, most characters require flaws, and stories usually have moral leanings.

These are tropes creators use to ensure the audience knows who and what ''not'' to sympathize with. If used on accident, they might lead a character into UnintentionallyUnsympathetic or TheScrappy territory.

This list is ''not'' an IndexOfHatedCharacters, which is about characters' reputation in-universe.
