* The protagonist of ''Literature/TheSanguineChronicles'' has a hate-on for ALL vampires and werewolves--- his mother died due to a vampire/werewolf attack, and he was consequently infected with both curses while still in the womb. *** There was also a straight version. In "[[Recap/AngelS05E13WhyWeFight Why We Fight]]", Angel once sired a vampire ''after'' being cursed with a soul; this had devastating consequences for the "child", who eventually came looking for revenge. The newly-turned vampire could gain no pleasure from feeding, perhaps as a result of Angel's curse plus his own former idealistic nature, and so resented him even more. * Averted in the ''Literature/{{Twilight}}'' series. Edward, Esme, Rosalie, and Emmett were all at the brink of death when Carlisle turned them, and thus had no chance to consent.
