* Inaugural poet Amanda Gorman seems to be a fangirl of ''WesternAnimation/ThePowerpuffGirls'', given her [[{{Squee}} over-the-top reaction]] on Twitter and Instagram when she discovered that she was made into a Powerpuff Girl herself as part of an event that celebrated black women. She also went into fangirl mode when meeting Jimmy Kimmel and Music/KatyPerry.

* Creator/AmandaLee absolutely loves ''Anime/KaleidoStar'' and talks about it often in the hopes of meeting others who have seen it.
* Creator/ChinaAnneMcClain is a fan of Music/MichaelJackson, Music/{{Beyonce}} and Music/OneDirection.
* Creator/EmmaStone is a huge fan of the Music/SpiceGirls. [[TheKnightsWhoSaySquee She freaked out]] when she got to talk to Mel B (Scary) and Mel C (Sporty) at different times via video while promoting ''Film/TheAmazingSpiderMan2''. She came very close to freaking out when, during [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EqfNH652dH4 an interview]] on ''Series/TheGrahamNortonShow'', Graham implied to her that all five of them were backstage waiting to meet her. They weren't. [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ycfXhXw0fco She's also hooked on K-Pop]].
* Creator/RachelBloom really loves the works of Ray Bradbury. In fact, she's such a huge fan of him that she even wrote a song about her dedication towards Bradbury.

* Creator/StaceyRoy is a big-time fan of everything from ''Series/DoctorWho'' to ''Franchise/StarWars'' to ''Franchise/StarTrek''. She geeked out about her favorite fandoms when she was interviewed on ''WebVideo/ReelGeekGirls''.

When the latter intervened at the most important Italian music festival, she is even shown sneaking in his room to have sex with him. [[spoiler: Things did not go as planned, though, as another Williams’s fan – '''much, much, much''' older than her suddenly appears with the same intention and they end up drinking champagne and partying together]].
* Creator/TiffanyGrant is a big fan of the ''Franchise/HelloKitty'' franchise. She eventually became a [[PromotedFangirl]] when she wrote the scripts for ''Hello Kitty's Animation Theater'', in which she also starred as Pochacco.
* When Creator/TrishaPaytas started their YouTube channel, it was originally dedicated to Creator/QuentinTarantino.
* Creator/YumiHara is a fangirl of ''[[Anime/MobileSuitGundamSEED Mobile Suit Gundam SEED/Destiny]]''. She used to imitate Creator/RieTanaka's character Lacus Clyne when she was in her high school years.

It is not always a pejorative term but it can be among people who don't "get" a particular fandom. Most folks today use the term to mean nothing more than a female {{nerd}}. Someone describing herself as a fangirl is usually expressing enthusiasm for the subject.
