* ''LogicalWeakness/JojosBizarreAdventure''

** Aizen's zanpakuto can completely control the perceptions of anyone who sees him release it even once. It thus stands to reason that [[spoiler:Tousen, a blind captain, who cannot see it, must be recruited to his side, and Ichigo is at an advantage over him, never having seen him release his zanpakuto. Also, [[FridgeBrilliance Yamamoto's flame shikai and bankai can not be tricked by illusions]], so that's why Aizen won't confront him head on.]] In fact, Yamamoto's plan to counter Aizen was quite literally [[spoiler: KillItWithFire by basically ''nuking'' the entire area - it doesn't matter if he can't see Aizen, he knows Aizen is ''somewhere'' close, and hence within the blast zone. Without Wonderweiss it might very well have worked.]]
** Shinji's Zanpakuto Sakenade is somewhat like Aizen's in that it messes with perception (in his case, he can reverse directions, so up is down, left is right, vice is versa, and so on), and Bambietta takes advantage of the same weakness that Yamamoto did with Aizen- even if she can't find Shinji, she knows he's ''somewhere'' in the area, and her HavingABlast power is omnidirectional, so she can just make ''everything'' explode and be sure she's hit Shinji somewhere.
** Izuru Kira's zanpakuto Wabisuke makes anything struck by it become twice as heavy, with the effect being cumulative- if he hits something three times, it will weigh 8 times as much. However, the extra weight can be used against him, as Matsumoto demonstrates in a filler arc by tricking a [[PsychoRangers reigai duplicate]] of Kira into hitting a steel rod multiple times and then dropping it on Wabisuke; Reigai!Kira is just as unable to move the rod as Matsumoto would be. It's also completely useless against something that is actually weightless (like Matsumoto's own zanpakuto Haineko; its ''shikai'' form floats in the air) -- zero doubled is ''still zero''.
** Zommari's Amor power allows his eyes to control anything they see. However, 'thing' is singular -- he can only take control of one thing per eye (so if he gets someone's left hand, the eye he's using for that can't control any other part of their body, although he can seize control of an entire body if he gets the head of his victim). If there are more threats than he has eyes (like Byakuya's bankai- he only has 50 eyes, so he can only take control of at most 50 petals out of the millions said bankai creates), his opponent is free to toast him with the remaining attacks. His ability is also similar to kido, so it can be blocked using a kido barrier.

** Byakuya's shikai and bankai manifest as a massive number of tiny razor blades that shred his opponent. However, said blades can also cut him so they always stay a certain distance away from him, thus anyone who can close the gap will make Byakuya have to choose between being unable to hit his opponent or risking hitting himself.
** Kyoraku's shikai involves playing children's games with his opponent, making them have to follow the rules in order to deal damage. But because they're games, ''he'' (and presumably any nearby allies) has to play too, and any opponent who can quickly get the hang of playing life-or-death tag/rock-paper-scissors/{{Calvinball}} can use the games against him to hurt him more than they could in regular combat.

** Rose's shikai and bankai are both [[MusicalAssassin sound-based]], and therefore do not work on deaf people. [[spoiler:Mask de Masculine exploits this by breaking his eardrums so he cannot hear the music Rose's bankai makes.]]

** Gremmy has the power to [[ImaginationBasedSuperpower make anything he imagines real]]. Overpowered as all get out? ''Hell yes'', but it has one big problem: it also makes his ''doubts'' real. When he fights Kenpachi, he might have been able to defeat him, but Kenpachi's sheer strength in battle made Gremmy fear that he was an unbeatable monster, so Kenpachi promptly ''became'' one. [[spoiler: He also suffers a SuperpowerMeltdown when he tries to imagine something happening that he's already imagined to be impossible. In this case, he tried to imagine that he was stronger than Kenpachi. However, since he was already convinced that Kenpachi was invincible, he was essentially trying to imagine himself ''stronger than infinity'', which resulted in him exploding in a rather gory PuffOfLogic.]]
** Pernida has, among other powers, the ability to absorb powers by consuming their owners. However, in doing so they also absorb any weaknesses or BlessedWithSuck tendencies. [[spoiler: They are defeated when they try to absorb Nemu, but fail to get her brain. Nemu has a HealingFactor so powerful that without her brain, which serves as a PowerLimiter, the regeneration would take over her whole body and turn it into a mass of cancer. Which is exactly what happens to Pernida when they absorb her.]]
** [[spoiler:Yhwach's power as "The Almighty" allows him to see all possible outcomes of any event he focuses on, and to counter anything he can see. However, the "see" in this is quite literal, as the power functions entirely through his eyes. Thus, he's just as vulnerable as anyone else to Aizen's perfect illusions, which leave him seeing ''fake'' possible futures. He can also only see the ''future'', leaving him vulnerable to Tsukishima's ability to change the past.]]

* ''Manga/DemonSlayerKimetsuNoYaiba'': Lower One can put anyone to sleep the moment he locks eyes with his target. At full power, he can conjure eyes wherever he wants, from any direction he wants. Tanjiro gets hit by this move repeatedly, but Inosuke, who wears a boar head hood that covers his eyes (but can see out of it just fine), is unaffected because Lower One cannot figure out where Inosuke is looking. In an overlap with ThisLooksLikeAJobForAquaman, Zenitsu happens to be a far more competent fighter when asleep than awake, so Lower One putting Zenitsu to sleep inadvertently made him a fiercer adversary.

** Due to their large ears, Namekians has [[SuperSenses super-hearing]]. As revealed in ''[[Anime/DragonBallZLordSlug Lord Slug]]'', this makes them sensitive to high-pitched noises like whistling. The heroes exploit this when Slug [[MakeMyMonsterGrow assumes his giant form]], making his eardrums the size of trash can lids; the sound incapacitates Slug with pain. [[GoodThingYouCanHeal Piccolo]] gets around it by [[DisabilityImmunity ripping off his own ears so he can't hear it]].

* ''Manga/{{Eyeshield 21}}'':

*** There's also the fact that the Philosopher's Stone is a finite energy source, so a homunculus can be beaten by [[ImmunityAttrition sheer attrition]], being constantly pressured with [[TheresNoKillLikeOverkill excessive force]], and [[RasputianDeath repeatedly killed]] to tax their regenerative power, [[spoiler:as demonstrated when Roy Mustang incinerated Lust and Envy until they couldn't regenerate anymore, or when Sloth expended all his energy regenerating in his fight against the Armstrong siblings and [[BigDamnHeroes their newly arrived allies]]. Not even Father can hold out for more than a few minutes against the combined assault of Ed, Izumi, Mustang, Armstrong, Greed/Ling, Lan Fan, Darius, Zampano, and the Briggs troops, and certainly not helping was that he was ''already'' taxing himself trying to keep Truth contained with a reduced collection of souls after losing the population of Amestris and wasting more defending himself]].

* Several techniques in ''Manga/{{Naruto}}'' are held back from being StoryBreakerPower by limits that are by-products of their usage or make up.

** Guenael Lee's 'Vanishing Point' power allows him to erase himself from others' memory at will, meaning that potential opponents won't remember ''why'' they were fighting. Then he tries it on Yachiru, who's such a BloodKnight that her first instinct to someone she doesn't know appearing out of nowhere is to immediately attack, rendering his defense useless- no matter how often he erases her memory, she'll continue to hit him every time she sees him.

* Many of the Clow Cards from ''Manga/CardcaptorSakura'' have logical weaknesses. One example: Sakura managed to capture the Watery card by trapping it in an industrial-sized freezer.
* In ''Anime/CodeGeass R2'', Suzaku was able to exploit his instinctive fighting style and his Geassed command to "live" to be able to maneuver the Lancelot Albion so fast that Bismarck's Geass, that lets him see a few seconds into the future, still cannot provide enough of a head start to counter it.

** Mao himself can read the minds of anyone within five hundred meters of him, but without his headphones, he'll buckle under the weight of under so many minds.

* In one episode of ''Literature/MyriadColorsPhantomWorld'', the protagonists battle a Phantom that resembles a humanoid sunflower. Koito quickly works out that, because it's a sunflower, it always turns to face the sun, so they're able to defeat it by simply ''walking around it'' and attacking from behind.

** Ouga has '''[[StatOVision Status Inspection]]''' as his cheat which lets him kill off those weaker than him and counter their attacks by seeing their levels and powers. However, this makes him very cautious about taking any risks, meaning Ouga never challenges himself in battle unless he's absolutely certain he will win, and overconfident in his undeveloped strength and skills against under-leveled people. Thus, he severely underestimates Shurikyi for their novice levels and stats, gets himself lured into the deepest part of the dungeon and is forced to fight an S-class monster he usually stays away from. By the time of defeating the monster, Ouga had already exhausted all his power, magic and body to its limit from lacking experience in dealing with one and became an easy picking for Shurikyi to finish the job.
*** Ouga is also shown summoning his signature broadsword by reaching his right hand into his personal PocketDimension and pulling it out. When he tries fighting back Shirukyi, they easily disarmed him by literally [[ImpaledPalm stabbing their dagger through his hand]] and [[PinnedToTheWall pinning it to the ground]], preventing any access to his blade.

* ''Manga/SpyXFamily'': Anya might be able to read minds, but there are a few reasons this isn't a StoryBreakerPower:
** She can be thrown off if her target thinks too fast for her to keep up, which is often the case with Loid.
** Yor's thoughts involve such ultra violence that while Anya is [[SeenItAll used to it]], it still scares the crap out of her.
** Trying to cheat on tests with said power doesn't work if everyone else is panicking over the test.
** Anya can read the minds of animals, but their thought processes are different enough to make understanding them difficult.

** Pernida has, among other powers, the ability to absorb powers by consuming their owners. However, in doing so he absorbs any weakness or BlessedWithSuck tendencies. [[spoiler: He is defeated when he tries to absorb Nemu, but fails to get her brain. Nemu has a HealingFactor so powerful that without her brain, which serves as a PowerLimiter, the regeneration would take over her whole body and turn it into a mass of cancer. Which is exactly what happens to Pernida when he absorbs her.]]

** Kaito's ability to steal the soul of anyone who says the forbidden word is useless if no one speaks at all. Kurama, who has figured this out, proposes an alternative in which the condition gets stricter over time, and convinces Kaito to accept by adding the condition that if neither of them has violated the condition when the time has expired, Kurama will lose his soul, putting Kaito at an advantage.

* ''Manga/SoulHunter'': When Choukoumei goes OneWingedAngel and assumes his true form, that of a giant plant that spreads uncontrollably, [[TheLancer Youzen]] deduces that since he is now a plant, all he has to do is kill the roots to get rid of it. But he realizes that it would be useless since Choukoumei would just spreads his seeds and grow faster than he could [[KillItWithFire burn it]]. [[TheHero Taikoubou]] then decides to use another logical weakness, and freezes the whole thing with one giant icy tornado.

** Alchemy in general can, in practice, transform or reshape practically anything into anything else as long as you're dealing with unliving things -- but you do have to have enough material and use it in a logical way, which leads to Ed being unable to build a bridge over a chasm because the rock breaks under its own weight and he hasn't got an unlimited amount of it to use.

* Shows up at several times in ''Manga/MonsterMusume''. The literally cold-blooded [[SnakePeople Miia]] is susceptible to cold temperatures, [[OurCentaursAreDifferent Centorea Shianus']] [[GagBoobs giant breasts]] actively interfere with her coordination and balance during combat, [[HarpingOnAboutHarpies Papi]] can't fly when she's wet, [[BlobMonster Suu]] can get diluted when exposed to too much water, [[OurMermaidsAreDifferent Meroune]] gets poisoned by swimming in chlorinated water the same way a human would by breathing bleach fumes, and [[SpiderPeople Rachnera]] can't handle extreme heat or cold and cannot breathe if her nonhuman abdomen's underside is submerged (that's where spiders have their respiratory orifices).

* In ''Literature/{{Anpanman}}'', the bread-headed superheroes have water and mold as their weakness, seeing as they both make bread soggy and inedible. Baikinman and his Kabirunrun, being an alien bacterium and mold spores respectively, have soap and cleanliness as their weaknesses, with Mushibakinman, a cavity germ of the same species as Baikinman having a weakness to toothpaste. Also, the donburi-headed characters, being bowls of rice with a topping, lose all their powers if their bowls are emptied. Finally, Kurayamiman and the Ice Queen, being darkness and ice incarnate, both are weak against the sunlight.

* ''Literature/ACertainMagicalIndex'':
** Accelerator is practically invincible due to his power -- changing any vector he wants. He can easily deflect bullets, kill someone by [[CruelAndUnusualDeath reversing their bloodflow]], turn air into plasma bombs, et cetera. However, he has to actually mentally perform all the relevant calculations to do any of this. [[spoiler:Brain damage]] all but cripples his abilities. He has also learned not to stand in the middle of gigantic explosions, as the fire tends to consume all the oxygen around him. [[spoiler:This is also true in regards to fighting an enemy who uses electricity and could therefore, in theory, turn all the air around Accelerator into ozone long enough for him to suffocate, as one Misaka-imouto figures out.]] After all, complete invincibility to external attacks doesn't mean much if you can't breathe. Although, he says he could get around this by simply carrying around a small air canister. As of New Testament, he cannot deflect [[spoiler:HollywoodVoodoo because there are no vectors to redirect.]]
** Subverted with Touma's Imagine Breaker, which [[AntiMagic annihilates anything supernatural]] it comes into contact with... quite a GameBreaker when up against sorcerers and espers. However, the power is confined to only his right hand. Therefore, if one were to sever his right hand, the ability would be nullified, no? [[spoiler: Well, yes, the AntiMagic effect would be gone, but it turns out the AntiMagic is merely a side-effect of Imagine Breaker's power: its real purpose is to be the lock on some sort of EldritchAbomination within Touma that is released if his hand is ever cut off. Said being is also one of the strongest entities shown so far. Chances are, if you were having trouble with a magic-cancelling right hand, you're not powerful enough to deal with ''that''.]] Imagine Breaker is also of no use against people and items that are not supernatural; he often has to run away when he faces opponents with guns. Touma also tries to avoid fighting multiple people; since he only has one Imagine Breaker in his right hand, if he blocks one attack with it, he could be open to being blasted in the back.
** Vento of the Front can make anybody who feels hatred or hostility towards her to fall unconscious, and it works on people on the other side of the world. Her power doesn't do anything to people who ignore or are unaware of her, and it also doesn't work on people with no hatred in their hearts, including the homicidal maniac Amata Kihara, who thinks killing people is the same as pulling out weeds.
** Terra of the Left has the ability to alter the "precedence" of objects, [[HeartIsAnAwesomePower which in practice allows him to make something like grains of flour strong enough to cut through solid rock or make himself intangible]]. But to use his powers, Terra has to declare one object higher and one object lower, and the resultant precedence only applies to ''those'' specific items. During their fight, Touma blocks one of his attacks with a discarded shotgun, something Terra didn't include in his new precedence. He can also get hit by surprise attacks.
** Acqua of the Back is a monstrously strong fighter, due to being simultaneously a [[BornWinner Saint]] (someone born with a similar body to Jesus, granting them incredible power through the [[TheLawsOfMagic Law of Similarity]]), a member of [[ChurchMilitant God's Right Seat]] (meaning he has altered his body to similarly invoke the ArchangelGabriel), and a skilled user of magic. These powers would normally be [[MutuallyExclusiveMagic mutually exclusive]] if not for his particular saint traits also including a connection to Mary, the Saint of Mercy. However, this status as a "double saint" means that when struck by the experimental [[WeaponOfXSlaying Saintbreaker]] (a spell which replicates the Crucifixion), [[SuperpowerMeltdown his conflicting powers go out of control and he explodes]].
** Fiamma of the Right's power, the Holy Right, gets its strength from the [[ThePowerOfHate malice of his opponents]]. This means he is powerless if no one around him feels hate and is weaker when facing people with goodness in their hearts, something Touma points out when he realizes this is the reason why Fiamma couldn't simply wipe out the human race; humanity isn't as wicked as Fiamma believed.
** Leivinia Birdway's method of casting spells [[spoiler: centers around movements she makes over and over again until the movements themselves become magical symbols. While this means that every movement she makes would increase the power of the associated spell, it also means Leivinia can't vary her tactics or improvise in any way, since the resultant spell would be weaker than the ones she has already]].
** Kakeru Kamisato's power, World Rejecter, allows him to banish anyone who feels weariness, doubt, and/or dissatisfaction with the world to a pocket dimension. He's powerless to affect anyone who is happy and satisfied with the world. Also, when he eventually feels negative about the world, World Rejecter [[HoistByHisOwnPetard ends up banishing him]].

* ''Literature/DateALive'': Miku Izayoi's voice won't be able to brainwash someone if they can't hear it. Likewise, since her powers comes from her vocal chords, she would be rendered helpless if her mouth is covered, as shown when one of Kurumi's clones dragged her into the shadow during their battle.

* Many of the heroes on ''Literature/HighSchoolDXD'' have logical drawbacks to their powers:
** Issei's [[AmplifierArtifact Boosted Gear]] will [[MagikarpPower double his power every ten seconds]] -- that means it [[HeroicWillpower usually]] takes ''at least'' a minute of combat before he's up to snuff. Additionally, particularly at the beginning of the series, his base power is no greater than an average human, and his body [[HeroicRROD can't handle a huge amount of strength at once]], placing a limit on how much he can power up before killing himself. He's able to increase this limit through training.
** Kiba also relies on technique to make the most of an incredibly flexible Sacred Gear, making attacks to his legs a glaring weakness.
** Koneko is [[MightyGlacier incredibly strong and nearly indestructible]], but not particularly nimble. Anything that can fly can avoid her easily, especially if there's nothing around to throw - this is a problem when most of her enemies have wings.

* In ''Manga/MurasakiiroNoQualia'', Hatou has a cellphone implented into her left hand. She can use it to call people, including [[spoiler:parallel universe versions of herself]], but she's basically its battery and gets physically exhausted. She takes to eating sugary snacks a lot to keep her energy up, as she's managed to lose some weight after a week of overusing it.

* ''Literature/Overlord2012'' has Entoma Vasilissa Zeta. Since Entoma uses insects to fight and is herself part insect, insecticides and such are extremely effective against her. It also has archer ace Peroroncino, who is logically really weak in narrow, cramped passages.

* ''LightNovel/ACertainMagicalIndex'':
