** About halfway through the fight, Nada picks up a 2x4 to use as a weapon. He swings, Frank dodges, and the force of the strike ends up completely shattering a car’s rear windshield and leaving a huge dent in the frame. Realising he would’ve probably killed Frank had the blow connected, Nada drops the 2x4 and starts [[ApologeticAttacker apologising profusely]]. Frank furiously attempts to shatter a bottle to turn into a weapon, but the bottle shatters completely, leaving Frank without a weapon and causing him to angrily curse "FUCK!" while tossing the remains away. Nada can't help but [[ActuallyPrettyFunny burst into giggles]] until Frank jumps back into the melee.

** The Blonde Alien Cop who jumps Nada earlier in the movie tells him "You look as shitty to us as we do to you", to which Nada replies "Impossible." Great, funny line, but it makes one think if alien/human relations are more like colonialism among Earth races where some would never consider sex with different races and others would.

** FridgeBrilliance kicks in, too, when you remember that earlier in the film, someone described the human race's relationship to the aliens thusly: "We could be pets, we could be food, but all we really are is livestock." Does that mean this alien is committing the alien equivalent of ''bestiality''? (In reality, it's more a case of colonialism, since Carpenter said and the characters say in the film that the Earth is basically a Third World country to the aliens.)

** Immediately before this, a film critic is seen on television talking about how violent movies have become. One of the directors he mentions is John Carpenter.
