In fact, Nora was so focused on the cake that she forgot to yell 'Surprise', was briefly distracted by Yang exploding the cake, then immediately jumped on the chance to eat it.

** Following this, Cinder becomes angrier still when Emerald points out the obviousness of the plan. Thinking that her [[PoorCommunicationKills subordinate doesn't understand the idea]], Cinder [[HoistByHisOwnPetard lights the wick to demonstrate the plan]] - which proves to be a big [[JustForPun miscake]].

** And Yang asks Pyrrha - who is [[JustForPun becaked]] in what's left of the cake - what Klein is like. Cue an angrily muttering Winter, a happily sighing Blake, a dopily grinning Nora, and a sleepwalking Ruby all emerging from the room.

** Round one has Emerald place a glass of water in front of [[WhyDidItHaveToBeSnakes Neptune's]] door. On its own, it doesn't get much of a reaction, but as the camera pans back, it turns out that Emerald has filled the entire hallway [[JustForPun to the brim]] with glasses of water.

** Also, in a FreezeFrameBonus, if you look at Ruby's hand when she's her DisorganizedOutlineSpeech, she holds up one finger for 'Number One' but then boldly holds up ''three' fingers for 'B'.

** Jaune then announces the main event; [[PullARabbitOutOfMyHat pulling "an amazing creature" out of his hat.]] No prizes for guessing [[LittleBitBeastly who he pulled]], and how said person reacted.

** And the reason Blake's stalking Ruby? Ruby hasn't returned a book she borrowed months earlier.

*** When Ruby cries Holy Cats, her cape actually rises to give her the impression of cat ears.

** For extra hilarity, many commenters note that Jaune should be their leader since he comitted an actual crime by getting into Beacon with false transcripts.

** Then suddenly, [=WonderZwei=] and [=RedHuntress=] show up and defeat the villains, [[SkewedPriorities much to [=HuntsMan=]'s displeasure after his compliments]]. The fight is reminiscent of the old ''Batman'' show, with [=RedHuntress=] punching Roman earning a "KAPOW!" and Zwei making Neo run away earning "ADORABLE!".

* Fearless Hero: Velvet is cornered by the villains (except for Cinder). Suddenly, [[BatSignal a "bunny-signal"]] appears on the wall behind them. Cue a masked Jaune (with an equally disguised Zwei) swinging in on a rope (similar to his sort-of [[Franchise/SpiderMan namesake]]), armed with Ruby's cape, Ember Celica, and Magnhilde to save the day.

** The first attempt is a nod to Franchise/{{Superman}}, as Jaune dashes into a rocket propelled locker to change. But once he's in, he can't get out. So Zwei tries to help by [[AreTheseWiresImportant yanking some cables from the locker]]... sending the locker with Jaune inside launching away.
** The second attempt has Jaune copy Franchise/WonderWoman, by spinning and glowing brightly. Not only does he not get changed, [[CoolButInefficient but the light blinds him and the spinning makes him dizzy.]] Couple that with an open manhole, and...

** The fact that the girls are doing the big testosterone-level "pillow fight", while the guys are doing the more feminine version. Talk about SwappedRoles for gender.

** When we say "thrown out", we mean ''literally''. Nora, Yang, and Ren, in that order, are hurled bodily out of the arcade, landing in a pile, with Magnhilde and StormFlower scattered around them.

** Zwei once again proving to be a SpannerInTheWorks for the bad guys by stealing Roman's weapon, then [[SugarWiki/MomentOfAwesome shaking Roman around like a ragdoll as he tries to retrieve it]] and accidentally(?) blowing them up. Neo's reaction to this is [[FunnyBackgroundEvent priceless]]: BlankWhiteEyes and sidestepping every time Zwei shakes Roman.

* The whole "briefing on coolness" ("Winter, your sister would jump off a bridge if you asked her to." "I have and she did"; "Ren, your teammate is madly in love with you." "[[ComicallyMissingThePoint No, Pyrrha's just a friend]]"; "Cinder, you're able to command those partners of yours as if they were henchmen." "Why, what an assumption. Henchmen would be more competent...").

*** Everyone starts pointing at Weiss and calling her "Know-it-all". Including Blake, who's not even looking up from her book. Even the ''books'' are taunting her.

** Also of note is Yang's increasing paddleball skill, and Blake's increasingly catlike fascination with it. It's both funny and adorable.
