* Kano and Seto stressing the hell out of Shintaro in the amusement park chapter.

* The bench scene from the amusement park chapter is already pretty funny to begin with, but it gains a whole new layer to it when you realize that both Kano and Seto knew that all three of them were going to die soon. But of course, bullying Shintaro is ''way'' more important.

* In the final novel, Shintaro attempts to have a serious conversation with Seto on the phone. Instead, everyone else in the daze gets excited and starts yelling random things at the latter, creating absolute chaos. * Hibiya's CM, which has him practicing his lines not knowing it already started, freaks out when he realizes it and rushes through the rest of it and somehow flubs the name of the show as Maternity Spiral as opposed to Mekaku City Actors. The CM even cuts off just as he asks the audience to look forward to the anime.

** Made even better when Kido calls Kano gross for it, Seto leans over to him and says ''"Don't worry, I do it all the time too."''
