** The build-up to the eventual release of the Epilogue was ''huge''. After the [[BrokenBase controversial]] Act 7 animation, the fandom waited with baited breath to see what the mysterious promised "Epilogue" was; the speculation was only fueled by WordOfGod that the "post-canon content" of [S] Credits was ''not'' the epilogue. Time passed, the fandom shrank, and people began to wonder if the promised conclusion would ever arrive. And then, [[MeaningfulReleaseDate three years to the day]] after the release of Act 7 (and [[MilestoneCelebration ten years to the day]] after the debut of ''Homestuck'' itself), the Homestuck Epilogues finally dropped. Thousands of fans eagerly clicked the link, and the very first piece of new, official content since 2016 was...''a fake title page for an Archive Of Our Own fanfiction, complete with character list and content warnings''! To say that it wasn't what the fandom expected would be the understatement of the millennium.

Not only are the Epilogues (or at least the first few pages) written up instead of illustrated, but the characters are now located outside of canon! * After leaving the newborns to their destinies, they get Dave to take them forward in time to when their newly created civilization is prosperous, and John ''casually takes a selfie''[[note]]even though, to be honest, tine travelling ''is'' pretty mediocre compared to some of the other stuff that's been going on in the story, especially when compared to John's canon-altering powers [[/note]].

* Jake's face while Dirk is pummeling him goes full SBaHJ mode, while in the photo captions, it's the return of the [[http://www.mspaintadventures.com/?s=6&p=008526 superb corny old man lines]].

* While it is in a serious scene, Terezi's response to why the fabric of paradox space is getting torn apart gets a mention:

** The loading screen is, somewhat unusually, of the blink-and-you'll-miss-it variety, but in it, Openbound's ''{{Peanuts}}'' exposition booth displays the signs "Gone Fishin" and "The Sylph is OUT."

** Possible HeartwarmingMoment as well, since it's a chance for the group to behave like the kids they actually are. Especially since the trolls really haven't had that chance in a long while.
* Karkat is a walking CrowningMomentOfFunny, but his semi-monologue at the start of the first contact deserves a special mention. Especially since he's absolutely right:

** The Prince is awake. [[BadassBoast Your shit]] [[CrowningMomentOfAwesome is wrecked.]]

*** Two panels prior is [[http://www.mspaintadventures.com/?s=6&p=006842 this]], which is almost identical to Jack's ascension, CrowningMusicOfAwesome and all... but DD stops it saying "that little number was too big for its britches."
*** That whole moment counts as both this and a CrowningMomentOfAwesome, with DD's completely chill demeanor (he even spins the RingOfPower on the table!), Jake's expression while he's sleeping, the aforementioned John/Gamzee moment and Jane's [[{{Squick}} horrified reaction]], Vriska beating up Hussie, PM fighting Jack with a [[FoeYay spade behind her and a heart behind him]], and the overall timing of the thing matching with the lyrics to the song perfectly.

* After a CrowningMomentOfHeartwarming with Dirk saying farewell to the people in the dream bubble and taking the sleeping Roxy with him, [[http://www.mspaintadventures.com/?s=6&p=007118 Dave seemed to have finally realized who Dirk is.]]

* Doubling as a CrowningMomentOfHeartwarming, we have, in [S] Act 6 Act 5, Jake's visibly joyful meeting with his sprite,...Erisolsprite, whose [[MindHive double (or is it triple?) personalities]] are in enough agreement that they not only make a stable sprite but are able to collectively [[FlippingTheBird give the finger]] to Jake's derpy ecstasy.

** Also a CrowningMomentOfHeartwarming.

* In among the [[HeartwarmingMoments warm fuzzies]] of the beginning of Act 6 Act 6 Intermission 5, there are a few moments that raise a laugh or two.
