* PurelyAestheticGender: For all that matters, Mira could be a guy and it wouldn't change the plot ''at all''. But by having an ActionGirl the film gains a lot of flair and swashbuckling vibe, so nobody is complaining, especially as she's played by Creator/AishwaryaRai.

* RaceLift: The Indian warrior Mira was an Italian named Livia Prisca in the original book. It seems like an excuse to cast Creator/AishwaryaRai as an ActionGirl in a historical epic... not that anyone is complaining.
