In 18th Century France, there was [[http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chevalier_de_Saint-Georges Chevalier de Saint-Georges]], a Fencing Master and accomplished musician and composer who served as UsefulNotes/MarieAntoinette's personal tutor. In addition to this, there is [[http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thomas-Alexandre_Dumas Alexandre Davy de la Pailleterie]], better known as Thomas-Alexandre Dumas, the father of Creator/AlexandreDumas. With that in mind, he's hardly out of place in the film.
