Has Two Mommies is now a disambig. Dewicking

* HasTwoMommies: Inverted with Rygel, who ends carrying Aeryn's baby for a while. ..This is the part where we elaborate how it happened, but it honestly [[ItMakesSenseInContext defies explanation]].

Hot Scientist is no longer a trope

* HotScientist: Male example: John Crichton from Farscape, especially after he starts wearing black and red leather in Season 2 onward. Mmmm...[[MrFanservice spacepants]]!
** Female examples would include Jool and Sikozu, the latter of which has an encyclopedic knowledge of all things Leviathan-related, although to be fair she may have been [[spoiler:programmed that way]].

Added DiffLines:

* NavelDeepNeckline: Commandant Mele-on-Grayza. There was a reason Crichton nicknamed her "Commandant Cleavage" after all. When called out on it by Akhna (the female Scarran War Minister), Grayza replied "Would you have a weapon in your armory and leave it unused out of squeamish good taste?"

** And in "Prayer," a Scarran officer aboard a research vessel disposed of a test subject's unborn child by using his heat-projection to fry it alive inside the womb. And the holographic display also shows the fetus writhing and shrivelling in the heat. However as the mother turns out to be [[TheMole a mole]], it's very probable they faked it to scare Aeryn.
** Played absurdly straight with Aeryn's fetus, which survives [[spoiler: getting diced into potpourri (along with his parents), indigested into Rygel's stomachs (yes, ''plural''), reassembled, and re-inserted back into Aeryn's womb]]. '''[[DeusExMachina Science]]!'''

* MockHeadroom: In the episode "[[Recap/FarscapeS04E07JohnQuixote John Quixote]]", a visit to a buggy virtual reality game results in John and Chiana encountering a version of John incarnated as one of the game's villains. He appears only on a TV screen, he's always wearing a suit, always standing against a dark background studded with neon blue tubes, and sports a noticeable Headroom-esque stutter and a warped sense of humour. In the climax of the episode, the real John is finally able to shut him up by putting a sword through his monitor.

I Ate What clean up. The trope is when a character eats something, unaware of what they are consuming, and then reacts in disgust after they find out what it is. Misuse will be deleted or moved to another trope when applicable. Administrivia.Zero Context Examples will be removed or commented out depending on the amount of context within the entry. Also, I Ate What is not a character trope.

* IAteWhat: In season 3, Jool was given fellip urine as as a very strange form of anesthesia for an arrow wound. Because of the intoxicating effects of the painkiller, Jool is too amused to be horrified... until later. It gets played for laughs, however, and eventually leads to [[BreakTheHaughty breaking her haughtiness]].

* HybridsAreACrapshoot: Scorpius is an experimentally produced hybrid of Sebacean and Scarrans. He is a Genius Bruiser, but suffers from assorted painful health problems from the conflicts between his ancestral species - the worst is that he is unable to control his own body temperature and is in danger of dying from heatstroke whenever he exerts himself. As a result he has to wear a scary-looking coolant suit, which includes a heat sink that is driven through the side of his skull and into his cranial cavity.

* HybridPower: Inverted with Scorpius, the offspring of a Sebacean and a Scarran, whose heritage combines to basically give him a WeaksauceWeakness. He inherited both the Scarran bodily trait of massive internal heat generation, and the Sebacean inability to regulate body temperature easily--requiring him to use cooling rods inserted in his head to survive, which created a certain vulnerability. Other than that, he was quite badass, however, both physically and mentally.
** His hybrid physiology does allow him to see the heat signatures given off by others which allows him to A) distinguish species and B) tell when someone is lying.

* MistakenForInsane: Pretty much everyone thinks Crichton is insane, since he's from a planet located far away from everyone else and [[FishOutOfWater does not know about most of the basic tenets of life in space.]] Constantly making pop culture references no one understands doesn't help, either. Eventually, a horrific TraumaCongaLine results in him going crazy for real.

* HelplessWithLaughter: "Through The Looking Glass" features Moya being split into three colour-based dimensions, each with their own unique stimuli - the yellow one being mirth; here, Crichton and Rygel struggle to focus on anything other than telling silly jokes and giggling like idiots, to the point that Crichton tries to cover Rygel's mouth to stop him from joking again, only to break down in another fit of laughter. After a harrowing escapade, the crew finally manage to merge the dimensions back into Moya, landing in Pilot's den safe and sound... whereupon all of them crack up laughing. By the end of this scene, the crew is so overwhelmed with mirth that none of them can explain to Pilot what's so funny.
