* TheDreaded: The Slayer was already this to the demons, but here he proves that this is a trope well earned via his patented blend of ultraviolence.
** His first encounter with Shigaraki and Dabi leaves the normally smug villains scared shitless, especially when he points a fully armed rocket launcher at them.
** The Steel Sabers, thousands of fully trained hero-killing mercenaries that are holding everyone on I-Island hostage, are butchered in such a grisly fashion by the Marine that they're no longer focusing on their operation. Now they're just trying (and failing) to escape with their lives.
** The students of UA and the pro heroes themselves are especially disturbed by the man's level of brutality, from watching his fight with Shigaraki to the live feed of him massacring the Steel Sabers like cattle even when they beg for their lives.
** Even All Might's blood turns cold from watching his bloodbath of a battle with the Steel Sabers, noting that he's never seen such a level of savagery in his long career as a hero.
** The Ascendant Realm and Prime Council initially thought the Slayer was a myth. When he is confirmed to be real, both are at a loss as to what to do with him.
