** ''Families'' cranks the deconstruction UpToEleven. First, it deconstructs Spike's relationship with Twilight, and Scootaloo and Pinkie Pie's relationship with their parents who are perpetually absent in the show. Second, it deconstructs the logic in holding a wedding just moments after a massive attack, as well as the (unexplained to everypony) disappearance of Twilight during the first wedding, in the form of a newspaper assuming the age-old fanfic idea that Celestia was brainwashing Twilight Sparkle. Celestia's reaction to this could be considered a deconstruction in of itself, a sort of "What if Celestia actually read fan fiction of herself acting like an evil overlord?" Lastly, it deconstructs the concept of "Scootabuse" and how it can exist without a great many other characters noticing something's wrong.
** It also deconstructs the aftermath of the Changeling invasion. Part of the reason the anti-Celestia conspiracy is able to get the [[VillainWithGoodPublicity publicity]] it gets is due to the citizens of Canterlot's outrage over Celestia and the Royal Guard's inability to protect them when the attack began.
