* MellowFellow: Pun aside, he's one of the most laid-back contestants, always keeping his cool. This is evident in the trials where he chooses to draw for the most part while the discussion goes on around him.
* TheNicknamer: Has a tendency to give the other contestants various nicknames.
* StrongerThanTheyLook: Mellow looks like he'd be easy to overpower but as Acedia finds out, that is not the case at all.

* AndNowForSomethingCompletelyDifferent: The minigames, which replace the usual Danganronpa motives, have the contestants carrying out different tasks, from matching items related to a contestant's death to the right contestant, or choosing whether to ally with or betray their partner. Depending on the rules of the game, contestants can get advantages, disadvantages and/or gacha coins. Since Hope's Peak doesn't exist in this universe, the contestants are determined by titles rather than Ultimate talents. However, they each had their own particular occupation back when they were alive which they share with each other and fills in the role for Ultimate talents.
