* CaptainErsatz: [[BettyBoop Betty "Boom"]]

* TwoPersonLoveTriangle: played with a twist. The fact that Cybersix's alter ego consists of her love interest Lucas male coworker has led him to believe that they have a thing for each other.
* VaporWear: Every female character, but most notably Cybersix, who doesn't even bind while dressing as Adrian.

The story centres around [[CharacterTitle Cybersix]], the sixth of five-thousand [[ArtificialHuman artificial humans]] in the "Cyber" series created by Dr von Reichter. Von Reichter destroyed 4999 Cybers due to their tendency towards disobedience, and doesn't intend to let his last one get away. Cybersix hides herself in Meridiana city, hunting her creator's other monsters in order to survive and trying to blend into society under the alias Adrian Seidelman, a male school teacher.

''Cybersix'' is an Argentinian ComicBook written by Carlos Trillo and drawn by Carlos Meglia, first published in 1993. In addition to the original 6-volume Spanish version, the series has been fully translated into French (separated into 12 volumes) and Italian (as 45 volumes). Unfortunately an English version never saw the light of day, but a wonderfully adapted [[{{Cybersix}} 13-episode animation]] did.

* EvenEvilHasStandards: Lori may be a ClingyJealousGirl to an absurd degree, but she can't stand people who abuse kids, [[FreudianExcuse having been abused herself]].

* NoExportForYou: No official English translation was published, but a fan translation of the French version can be found [[http://pharmadan.blogspot.com/p/cybersix.html here]].

The original graphic novels are all quite rare to find in print, though ebooks of the Spanish and French versions are available from [[http://ebookee.org/ EBOOKEE]]. [[http://pharmadan.blogspot.com/p/cybersix.html An English fan-translation of the French]] is available as well, though it was worked on by two different translators.

* AnimatedAdaptation: Various aspects of the show were changed from the comics; Detective Enrique is an {{Expy}} of Do, but became a friendly and honest cop instead of a corrupt patrolman and the {{Monsters of the Week}} were mostly original creations added by the show's writers.

* TwoPersonLoveTriangle: Poor Lucas just doesn't have a clue.

** Rebecca Limon is also referred to as being irresistible despite her gritty depiction.

* LampshadeHanging: At one point Cybersix wonders how Adrian's clothes manage to hide her breasts, and remarks that they're getting larger.

* PantyShot: Cybersix has one in the first chapter of volume one, before she started wearing pants with her costume.

* ArtShift: During the Yashimoto arc, there are several pages drawn in different comic styles while he's knocked out. Cybersix battling Reichter's goons in the style of the [[DisneyDucksComicUniverse McDucks]] takes the cake, though.

* SelfDisposingVillain: Generally averted (see ThouShaltNotKill) but there is an incident in the first chapter of the comic when Lucas stops her from killing a hostile Techno, only to have him throw himself off a building while trying to attack her. Her response to this turn of events is a discussion of this trope (without breaking the fourth wall).

* PlotWithPorn

* {{Shotacon}}: Inverted; the precocious José wants to make it with the adult Cybersix.

* GoSeduceMyArchnemesis: One of von Reichter's plans involves seducing his enemies with a woman who [[OutWithABang kills whomever she has sex with]]. [[spoiler:She kills one of her targets, but fails when Lucas refuses to have make love to anyone but Cybersix, and she seduces José instead.]]

** Even ''working on Adrian's curriculum'', she makes a throwaway comment about how [[GettingHotInHere insufferably hot]] it is and spends the rest of the scene nude.

* DoAndroidsDrem: Referred to as 'resistored dreams' in the first chapter.

* FridgeBrilliance: Adrian mentions once that he's not interested in Cybersix because he "prefers blondes". Later we learn that one of the few defining characteristics of Dr von Reichter's creations is that most of them are blond, and so Adrian really does prefer blondes, because they're more likely to have Sustenance.

* CompleteMonster: Dr von Reichter. When describing why he had to destroy the Cybers, we're treated to a shot of a Fixed Idea forcing a nine-year-old Cyber into a ''meat grinder''. ''Alive''. ''Feet first''.

* ArtificialHuman: Dr von Reichter's domain. He created genetic experiments to be his servants, and destroyed the Cyber series when they showed a tendency for disobedience. He also created the Types, the Techno series, who blend into human society, and the Fixed Ideas, who serve him with their brute strength.

* ArtShift: During the Yashimoto arc, there are several pages drawn in different comic styles while he's knocked out. Cybersix battling Reichter's goons in the style of the {{McDuck}}s takes the cake, though.
