dewicking Cloning Blues, moved to Clone Angst

* CloningBlues: Averted; he knows that he's a knockoff of Vinny, but he's more than fine with it. This sentiment is shared by most of the other bootleg islanders, with the exception of Dheerse, who seems to desire being real.

Uncanny Valley is IUEO now and the subjective version has been split; cleaning up misuse and ZCE in the process

* UncannyValley: Invoked, as he's designed to look very similar to Vinesauce, but with just enough differences to make him slightly creepy. Other than that, however, he seems to be the most normal of the copycats.

* TheMissingno: On a coding level, ⍰⍰⍰ only exists to prevent crashes. If an islander's MadLibsDialogue mentions a Mii, but the game can't process which Mii is being mentioned, then it places the three question mark blocks there and skips over the name. This generally happens if dialogue is said in the wrong context; for example, Peach's "speech" commemorating 9,999 problems being solved mentioned having lunch with them the other day, which is a quote that only normally comes up when a mistake is made when trying to get a Mii to propose at the fancy restaurant location (specifically, if the player taps the button on the bottom screen when the Mii being proposed to is thinking about a Mii other than the one who's trying to propose).

I got to the episode that features Vuntt's establishment as a separate character, and the voice isn't exactly the same as the Duke voice, but it's similar, as opposed to just being Vinny's normal voice with an odd inflection.

* VocalEvolution: Vinny uses an accent of unspecified origin even before deciding he's a separate character, though the accent is the primary difference from Vinny's normal voice early on. By the time he's established as a separate character, the voice Vinny uses changes to one he used in a VideoGame/DukeNukem parody video he made before starting Vinesauce.
* WhatTheHellIsThatAccent: Whenever Vinny quotes him, he does so with the foreign-sounding accent, despite him not sounding much different from Vinesauce in-game. Around when Vinny decides the voice is coming from a separate character, the voice has become the one he originally used in a VideoGame/DukeNukem parody video for Duke himself (instead of Duke's usual American accent).

I found out after rewatching the videos that Vuntt Sk'dilda quotes predate references to him as a separate character, but Vinny's voice for him doesn't sound the same as when he's officially established

Vinny actually comments on the villager/islander terminology in Episode 24. Not sure how I didn't catch it already.

** Earlier in the series, he had a tendency to refer to the island as a village and the islanders as villagers, due to his past experiences streaming VideoGame/AnimalCrossing games (Animal Crossing: New Leaf was released outside Japan about a year before Tomodachi Life). He would later do the opposite and refer to his Animal Crossing: New Leaf villagers as islanders when streaming that game in May 2016.

I'm kind of tired right now; turns out that isn't it, either. I'm just going to cut that and merge it with the Good Counterpart example (which covers this already), since aversions are for tropes that are omnipresent, either in general or within a genre, and doesn't seem to cover work-specific instances (and it isn't subverted, since that would require it to be set up, which wasn't done since he's one of the first European characters shown).

* EvilKnockoff: Defied. Unlike the other Vinesauce knockoffs, the AmbiguouslyEvil Vlinny and the ObviouslyEvil Vineschnoz, [=BootlegVin=] rivals Franchise/ProfessorLayton in his status as a British gentleman.

* GoodCounterpart: To Vineschnoz. While 'Schnoz is completely bonkers, ill-tempered, runs most of the services on the corrupted island, and butchers his speech, [=BootlegVin=] is normal, calm, generally leaves the islanders to their own devices, and is 100% fluent in at least six languages. In addition, both were created by Vinesauce affiliates; Vineschnoz was made by Weinerless Steve (a zany fan who typically makes corruptions for Vinny), while [=BootlegVin=] was made by Captain Southbird (a more level-headed partner who focuses on stream highlights and programming).
