* DealWithTheDevil: He's the TropeCodifier and the unique buff he gives is literally called '''Deal with the Devil'''. The buff works in tandem with the debuff '''Price of Contract''' both of which are given by his first skill. While the unit is holding both statuses, they will receive a whopping 6x multiplier to their attack, 20 CP, and a minor defense boost for 2 turns. Of course, this being a Faustian bargain, there's a catch. While the buff lasts 2 turns, the debuff lasts 6 and without the buff, the debuff will activate, causing the unit to take [[DamageIncreasingDebuff extra damage]] and locking skill activation. This means it's critical that the player consistently refresh the buff on the affected unit whenever it expires.

* {{Fanservice}}: Concerning his birthmark. While every other person known to have one has had it on their arm in some way, Yasuyori's happens to be right on his ''butt cheek''. While this is at least accurate with the character he's based on who had it in the same spot, in Yasuyori's case it's played more for fanservice since he almost only ever wears a mawashi below the waist and thus his buttocks are always uncovered. His 4-Star artwork in particular shows this off quite prominently, depicting a low-angle shot of him performing a sumo squat from behind. Most of his alternate skins are similarly revealing, with only the one version of his Christmas outfit giving him a pair of shorts that properly cover his behind.

Guild Master of the aptly named Warmongers, a guild comprised of politicians and militarists, who was initially dispatched from the Game Masters, a guild operating out of the Tower of Babel. Born a human, although extensive surgery and modifications have rendered Bertro's body almost entirely mechanical. Bertro has been programmed to focus primarily on recording the actions of his fellow guild members, and as such, rarely gets involved in the conflicts they instigate. He firmly believes that those who can make war and humor coexist are truly human, and has an extreme fondness for both topics. Possessed of a strong desire to destroy the moon, Bertro inherently respects those with sufficient power to perform such a deed. He has a tendency to slip in Russian phrases when he gets worked up. Furthermore, Bertro tends to gain the sympathy of those who, like him, have had to endure being modified by the hands of others.

This Transient from the world of El Dorado is one of the leaders of the Warmongers, the guild controlling West Tokyo. His luchadores, who have dedicated themselves to his worship back in their home world, are never far from the vanguard in battles against other guilds. Although he always seems in high spirits, he is also calm and collected. He maintains a fervent belief in the act of sacrificing one's body to war for the sake of the world. When his home world was created, he first lost his right leg, followed soon by almost all of the rest of his body. Because of this, his apparent body now is nothing but a false image reflected in his Mirrors, and he can change it at will. He also enjoys altering his shape depending on the circumstances, transforming into various forms to keep his opponents guessing. As he is skilled at night warfare, he often takes the form of a nocturnal spider, although the evident enjoyment he finds in this tends to confuse those of his subordinates whom he has turned unwillingly into spiders, who don't see the attraction. He has a hard time with opponents that don't rely on sight, as his tricks will not work on them.

A Transient originating from the world of El Dorado. While a student by day, outside of school hours he works in professional wrestling, where he plays an up-and-coming Técnico specializing in the Mexican style of Lucha Libre. He is known in the ring for his energetic demeanor and crowd-pleasing performances: his matches often see him bloodied and almost beaten by unscrupulous foes who exploit his every weakness, only for him to suddenly seize victory in a dramatic turnaround, and this has gained him great popularity. To fly higher and farther than anybody else is his dream, and he wishes only to spend the rest of his days in the ring. He struggles most with getting along with others who live their lives on the edge, perhaps because of how much they mirror himself.

A Transient hailing from the world of Xanadu, Avarga has found employment in Tokyo as an instructor and wrestling coach at Yoyogi Academy in Shibuya. A Transient from the Land of Wa and a member of the Yoyogi Academy sumo wrestling club in Shibuya Ward. World Representative of Tir na Nog, which plans to achieve eternity through Substitution. At one point in the past, his left eye was fumigated by magical smoke which led to it gaining the power to confer death to those he looks at. This power scatters about death on the battlefield without regards to friend or foe, but by borrowing the power of another this eye can become sealed. He has been through many wars and has gained fame as a general and the proudest king of the giants. However due to a defeat from a certain point in time, all of his dignity was stripped away and his pride was broken, and in the end he became someone who waited for his death penalty to be carried out within prison. He wishes to die on the battlefield as opposed to an execution ground, so he accepted some arrangements to be used by other World Representatives. After being imprisoned in the military academy prison in Nerima, he now works as a combat instructor training death row inmates as soldiers. Balor thinks about the comrades who killed and died on the same battlefields as he has. The lingering smoke there still smoulders in his eyes even now.

The lingering smoke there still smoulders in his eyes even now.with original writing.]

In this Tokyo, Daikoku is known as both the police superintendent/deputy commissioner as well as the principal for the police academy. He is seen by many as someone who combines both dignity and tolerance as a veteran, and he is highly respected. But on the other hand there is another side to him. That would be his being a black market auctioneer who sells precious goods and stray Transients from other worlds on a large scale. He regrets his past where he once ceded his Role to a certain person, so he is unusually obsessed with maintaining his power. He is always wearing white gloves as if to show everyone around his hands aren't dirty. Daikoku is fond of stepping on and rebuking those who have surrendered to him. He also has a businesslike sense of good will towards people who are aware that they have a certain charm in the marketplace.

World Representative of Nirai Kanai and lustful boy king who carries the memories of a heavenly emperor. He boasts that there is no one in the world who doesn't love him, and he is quick to hold hands with those he likes. He is a hardy soldier that specializes in the bow, and he fights with the Sacred Artifact of 24 battle-signaling arrows that are the incarnation of sunlight. These arrows will always reach wherever the sun shines and can be used as a part of Teda's body. In places known as pyazhu it is believed that he can enter the bodies of people he immediately falls in love with as light and have children. He has extremely terrible compatibility with people who would obstruct the grace of the sun.

A Transient from the world of Babilim, where it is believed that one will be reborn after death. The people of Marduk's homeland revere him as the Calf of the Sun and a hero among their people. He can gain new life by having the dragon Mushussu swallow him whole, regurgitating him with a brand-new body. This is, understandably, a frightening experience for him, yet he always resists the urge to scream because he must maintain his image as the stalwart hero. By contrast, Mushussu adores Marduk, and this process is one of the ways that the creature expresses its love for him. The stone tablet hanging from Marduk's neck is inscribed with a divine decree, though its Rule is currently not functioning as it should. Nonetheless, Marduk continues to follow the command inscribed upon it, always pursuing chaos wherever he finds it. He feels a level of kinship toward a fellow archer who, like him, is also known as a child of the sun. He also has something of a fondness for the individual with the Sacred Artifact that can rend heaven and earth.\\\

He is based on the patron god of Babylonia and who presided over storms, justice, compassion, healing, regeneration, magic, and fairness. He was responsible for slaying the primordial goddess Tiamat and then using her corpse to create the Heavens and the Earth as told in the Babylonian creation myth, [[Myth/MesopotamianMythology Enûma Eliš]].

A Transient from Devaloka, a world that aims to perpetuate itself via a system of reincarnation. He is an earnest young monk who seeks to dedicate his life to the betterment of his physical and spiritual being. Together, his past, present, and future selves can open the seventh chakra to attain immeasurable physical prowess. It is said that the universe will come to an end when the third eye upon his forehead opens, so he strives to keep it shut. This requires him to bury the seething emotions within himself and display total abstinence. He knows that to unleash the power of his third eye is to unleash shakti, the cosmic source, and be transformed into his final form. He was once shot through the heart with an arrow of love and has been captivated by his obsession with the emotion ever since. He feels uneasy in the presence of a certain crocodilian individual because he is reminded of the beast that accompanied the one who shot the arrow.

** This is also the reason why he dislike Snow, his anti-thesis as a butler. One of the Three True Guilds led by the World Representatives who are dedicated to the ideal of eternal war and battle, who wish to utilize the nature of the game to fight forever.

They act as the ArcVillain for Chapter 10 and 11.

----
* BloodKnight: Their guild motto. All members are encouraged to train and wage war on all outsiders.
* EnemyCivilWar: As of Chapter 11, this is the case with the Warmongers' status during the current loop.
** Tezcatlipoca and Balor, who are against the Warmongers entering endless treaties and ceasefires with the other two guilds and want to fight against them directly. [[spoiler:Which is, not exactly the case, as they no longer wanting to fight against the protagonist whom they've grown to care about.]]
** Shiva's goal doesn't goes with the others', as he wants to destroy the protagonist, not claiming them as a trophy.
** Bertro, the Guild Master, Daikoku, Yoritomo, and Mephistopheles decide to perform their own plan of "[[ColonyDrop dropping the moon down on Kabukicho]]" [[spoiler:''without'' informing Marduk, Teda, and Shiva who are assigned in the battles at said area.]]
** Lastly, [[spoiler:according to Amaterasu, one of the Representative is TheMole for the Rule Makers Guild.]]
* NotBrainwashed: The recruited members of Tezcatlipoca's faction weren't brainwashed into joining, but joined on their own term, that is, by being shown the ''carefully selected'' memories of them killing their loved ones (without given any context of how it happened) in the past loops.
* WarIsGlorious: The guild seems to have this ideology, and serves as the core of their intention; an endless battle without end. Ironically, the members actually hold [[WarIsHell resentment to this]].
* WarIsHell: Some of the members actually hate to go on with the endless war philosophy, knowing that there is nothing to gain from such destructive action, but feel that they have to place to go back to after being shown memory of them killing their loved ones in the past loops.
* WeaponOfMassDestruction: Balor reveals that the Warmongers have two "ultimate weapons" that they can bring out should the battle enters the dire stage. The first is Deva Loka Representative Shiva, who is considered incomplete. The other is Mahakala, the Exception whose existence bridges between the world of Deva Loka and Shangri La and is connected to Daikoku. [[spoiler:These two can fuse to become Mahakala-Shiva, the Warmonger's true ultimate weapon.]]

One of the three Geniuses, specifically based off of Robert A. Heinlein.
----
* AgeLift: This Robert A. Heinlein is only a teen at most, compared to his historical counterpart.
* AwesomeByAnalysis: Thanks to the vast computational powers granted to him, Bertro can perfectly calculate the exact procedures needed to knock the moon out of orbit and have it fall dead-center on Tokyo for his grand finale.
* BadassAdorable: While his default mode is CreepyChild, his shy sprite is a full on luminescent face.
* BodyHorror: Tears out his own heart/hard-drive that contains all of the loop data he has accumulated and a piece of Mononobe/King Solomon's ego straight out of his own chest before giving it to the Player after his defeat.
* CreepyChild: His default mode. This is the result of his mental deterioration from being mechanized and forced to live through so many loops in order to record all the senseless tragedies.
* {{Cyborg}}:
** His body was heavily mechanized into his current form, though he still explicitly possesses organic parts.
** His wolf mount is a modified form of [[spoiler:Geri, Breke's brother]].
* DeathSeeker: His true reason for awakening Mahakala and using the god's powers to draw the moon toward Tokyo. Bertro has grown tired of all the death, destruction, and misery in Tokyo and being made to record it all. So he had planned to create the greatest battle in Tokyo and for its conclusion, he would drive the moon down onto the city, crushing everything and everyone underneath its mass, which would result in an Enclosed Space without the chance of a loop reset.
* DualBoss: He is fought at the finale of chapter 11 along side Mahakala.
* HumanoidAbomination: If his appearance hasn't clued you in, he looks far more monstrous than his other known "siblings" from the same experiment.
* InsistentTerminology: He prefer to be called "Bertro" as oppose to his given name, "Robert", as in his mind, [[ThatManIsDead Robert is gone.]]
* MadnessMantra: Babbles his name when excited, a sign of his deteriorating mental state.
* MagneticWeapons: He's electronically linked to a massive railgun located in his lab back at the Warmongers' HQ. It's his trump card and powerful enough to knock the moon out of orbit.
* MysticalWhiteHair: Though it's more a case of YouGottaHaveBlueHair, he, like his "siblings" Shuichi, Duo, and Curren, have white hair.
* NamedAfterSomebodyFamous: Robert A. Heinlein, an American sci-fi author, aeronautical engineer, and Naval officer.
* SdrawkcabName: His name is "Robert" with the two syllables switching around.
* ThatManIsDead: Highly implied to be reason why he prefer people call him "Bertro" as oppose to Robert.
* WalkingArmory: Those barrels on Bertro's mount aren't for show. The researchers who mechanized him outfitted him with an immense number of weaponry and self-defense tools in order to safeguard the data he holds.
* YouAreNumberSix: Is "Plan-B" of those pulling the strings behind the game.

----
* AFormYouAreComfortableWith: The body you see in game is just a projection, his real body no longer exists, having been sacrificed via El Dorado's system.
* ArcVillain: Of chapter 10.
* BirdsOfAFeather: It's hinted that he shares some sort of sentimental view with Balor, [[spoiler:as both are considered among the less trustworthy (as in forming contact with the protagonist, the "trophy" of the game) of the Respresentives.]]
* BloodKnight: Practically embodies this trope. He enjoys and lives for battle, especially those with prices that cannot be repaid. As his World's faith was built upon warfare, Tezcatlipoca revels in the acts of battle and considers the most brutal forms of combat and war to be the greatest expression of love from one to another.
* BlueAndOrangeMorality: Tez loves war, especially war that have no obvious victors and is equally deleterious to everyone involved. He and his sibling were born to conflict and it is one of the first things he could remember. To Tezcatlipoca, the act of war and conflict is a way for everyone to connect to one another.
* DramaticIrony: He is one of the Representatives of a guild that pushes for the world of endless war, [[spoiler: but the truth is that he has long since become disillusioned with the philosophy following the banishment of his younger brother Quetzalcoatl from his world, and his true wish is much more simple: he just wants a chance to see his younger brother again once more. Notably, the other Representatives took note of this, and branded him as one of the least trustworthy of them after Surtr and Azathoth.]]
* TheGeneralissimo: He has a military commander's uniform that looks like the textbook example of a South American dictator. This is only fitting as he is a South American god.
* MagicMirror: His artifact is the smoking mirror. It can be used to implant parts of himself into others, like with Hombretigre, project his body as it once was and, as it is a world pillar, implant memories pertaining to battle and conflict. This mirror motif even [[GameplayAndStoryIntegration carries over to gameplay]]: He can reflect debuff, inflict possession causing his enemies to attack the other way, and disorient his enemies with darkness and dazzle to reduce their fighting capabilities.
* MentalWorld: Doubles as MirrorWorld. He can bring his victim's consciousness into his mirror and recreate scenes using the memories of everyone involved, albeit the recreations are noticably more dreary and monochromatic than the memories they are based on.
* NecessarilyEvil: How he sees his warmongering and part of the reason behind his WarIsGlorious mindset. Tezcatlipoca and his brothers, particularly Quetzacoatal, formed the world of El Dorado by waging war against and defeating the primordial monster Cipactli. Tezcatlipoca saw that the world began with war and sacrifice, so he concluded that only war and sacrifice could sustain his world. This led him to wage war against his own brothers in hopes that such conflict would provide the faith needed to keep El Dorado alive.
* PantheraAwesome: Tezcatlipoca originally looked like a muscular winged black-panther before sacrificing his form for the sake of El Dorado. The black panther is of course, the most recognized animal symbol for his real life counterpart.
* SpannerInTheWorks: Under normal circumstance, the True Three Guilds are not allowed to make the move in the game until a certain amount of time has passed and conditions are fulfilled, in order to avoid getting the protagonist killed too early and maximizing their control over the game and their win rate. Tezcatlipoca, being who he is, purposely allowed the protagonist, R-19, and Jacob to come into the Penitentia Academy in order to fulfill his own goal of battling the protagonist directly [[spoiler:and fulfilling his wish of seeing Quetzalcoatl within them again.]]
* SuperDeformed: The first character in the game to have a chibi portrait. Cait Sith may be to blame.
* SuperSmoke: As a consequence of having sacrificed his body, Tezcatlipoca's true form is actually a formless mass of smoke that resides within his mirror artifact. Like his fragment in Hombre, this form grants Tez immunity to conventional weaponry and allows him to telepathically attack his enemies' minds and corrupt their memories.
* VoluntaryShapeshifting: Thanks to no longer possessing a corporeal form, Tezcatlipoca can now take on any number of forms that suits him, though he typically returns to his original form for convenience.
* WhatIsThisFeeling: Had this when his brother left their world, and scoured all traces of their presence from it. As an ultimate act of sacrifice he should have been happy... yet all he felt was sadness.
* YouHaveFailedMe: [[spoiler:On a receiving end of this from the four of the Warmongers' Representatives toward the end of chapter 10, once it becomes clear to them that Tez is actually not sharing their ideal of world of endless war.]]

----

* AffablyEvil: Tigre is genuinely devoted to his craft and role as the “face” or heroic wrestler and is overall a very jovial and inviting person. Unfortunately, he is also actively trying to recruit other students, the Protagonist in particular, into a guild that revels in constant battles.
* BigEntrance: After fighting the wrestler mobs, Hombre Tigre makes his grand entrance, complete with adoring fans, colored smoke, strobe lights, theme music, and an announcer hyping up his entry.
* BloodKnight: Downplayed. Tigre and his troops aren’t as violent as the traditional example. Rather they just enjoy the fight and tumble in general. However, this trope was likely played straight in Tigre’s first life back in his home world where bloody wars and ritual sacrifices were constantly being enacted as a form of worship to Tezcatlipoca. [[spoiler: As it turns out, it's played very straight. Later on in your confrontation with Hombre Tigre, his opponents are inundated with memories of the total war and destruction the Warmongers have caused in previous timeloops.]]
* BoisterousBruiser: He certainly projects the image of fun-loving wrestler ready to tumble with someone.
* BunnyEarsLawyer: With his boisterous attitude and cheery luchador persona, you'd never realize that Hombretigre was one of the mightiest generals of El Dorado.
* CatFolk: He's a tiger therian.
* ClaimedByTheSupernatural: The jagged crescent-shaped mark over his left pectoral serves as proof of his allegiances to Tezcatlipoca through the sacrifice of his heart and thus, his status as a Nagual.
* CombatTentacles: The rubber his Sacred Artifact is made out of can be shot out to grab an unsuspecting foe and for his ultimate finisher, Tigre can unleash an omnidirectional blast of the stuff to entangle all of his enemies.
* FinishingMove: Attempted against Arc, though convenient intervention from the Crafters and Xolotl stop it from being completed.
* FogOfDoom: [[spoiler: In exchange for his heart, the ritual that elevated Tigre to the status of Nagual also infused a fragment of Tezcatlipoca into his body. He is able to unleash this fragment from within himself similar to astral projection and allow it to fight for him, at the cost of incapacitating his body while the fragment is out. As for the fragment itself, not only does it knows all of Tigre’s moves, it’s also [[MadeOfAir made]] entirely out of smoke and can attack its victims memories.]]
* InstantArmor: His entire outfit is made the rubber from his Sacred Artifact, making physical attacks a bad idea.
* ALizardNamedLiz: The game refers to him by his stage name, which translates from Spanish to mean "weretiger".
* {{Kayfabe}}: The entire fight against Hombre Tigre is set up as a professional wrestling match from start to finish, despite the battle supposedly being 100% serious. Hombre Tigre and the naguals don't break character once until the Protagonist arrives on the scene.
* NowBuyTheMerchandise: Hombre Tigre stops to hawk Hombre Tigre and Warmonger merchandise in the middle of the fight to the crowd, despite the fact that they're in a workshop ''with no spectators around''.
* OnlyMostlyDead: [[spoiler: Since the fragment of Tezcatlipoca works as his heart, any time it leaves his body, Hombre Tigre quite literally dies. Upon reentry of the body, it does appear that there is a lot of effort made to resuscitate Hombre Tigre. However, as soon as he's back up, he doesn't appear to suffer very much from this status.]]
* ProfessionalWrestling: Hombre Tigre is a self-proclaimed luchador, and from the moment you first hear about him in this game, you're steeped in pro wrestling culture.
* RubberMan: He manifests his sacred artifact in the form of rubber. Heck, he even does a variation of [[Manga/HunterXHunter Hisoka’s]] pose in his 4 star rarity, stretching his hands out with a film of rubber in the middle. The rubber possesses varies applications including CombatTentacles and InstantArmor.
* TheSymbiote: He's in this kind of relationship with [[spoiler: Tezcatlipoca, who Hombre Tigre sacrificed his own heart to. Tezcatlipoca inhabits Hombre Tigre and works as his missing heart. In return, Hombre Tigre has dedicated himself to eternal battle in Tezcatlipoca's name, as he's become a tool for Tezacatlipoca, he, himself, is a nagual.]]
* TheatricsOfPain: Hombre Tigre and the wrestlers do this just about every time they're being hit, selling pain at a level that even Arc finds ridiculous for the amount of damage they were dishing out.
* VillainExitStageLeft: [[spoiler: The victim of an unwanted one via Breke who had installed Azathoth’s throne and was temporarily granted the Elder God’s [[SpaceMaster powers]], allowing the wolf to instantly banish Tigre and all of his jaguar troops from the Crafter’s guild.]]

Maybe because of this, he can often be seen panting and groaning with stomach pain, never learning from his mistakes. He has a passion for farming, and while his plot is small, he finds a great deal of use in it as an experimental farm to grow a variety of strange creations. He is affiliated with the Warmongers, the guild controlling Western Tokyo, where he works as a medic as well as a member of their frontline chemical and biological warfare unit. He cannot help but worry for those who unwittingly hurt themselves, and if their wounds are psychological and thus beyond his ministrations, he worries for them all the more. Conversely, he feels an aversion to those who gladly cause themselves pain; likes, in this case, repel.
----
* BerserkButton: People who throw themselves into situations where they end up hurt, which leads him to both clash with and follow the protagonist.
* CombatMedic: It's his duty on the battlefield to keep his people combat-ready, though thanks to WarIsHell he's not exactly happy about said duty, plus his varied medical skills don't include mental health, which causes him distress.
* DanceBattler: His Dragon Palace Variant is described as fighting with a sword dance.
* DeadpanSnarker: While kind, Shennong has a wry sense of humor, and will absolutely lay into both himself and the people he cares about in order to poke fun.
--> Shennong: "Please don't do anything dangerous. Oh, who am I kidding. You'll probably stick a fork into the next socket we meet, right?"
* DualWielding: His summer variant dual wields a pairs of high-tech [[NationalWeapon Jian swords]].
* ElementalPowers: His 3* and 5* rarities are of the Wood attribute, hearkening to his poison powers. His 4* is instead a Valiant attribute unit.
* {{Expy}}: His powers bear resemblance to [[Characters/FateGrandOrderAssassinsGToM the Hassan of Serenity]] from Fate.
* FormFittingWardrobe: His default outfit is a tank top that's... basically a second skin.
* GiantMedicalSyringe: His weapon of choice. A huge syringe that's about as tall as he is, likely filled with poisons he's developed/cultivated himself.
* HospitalHottie: Double Subverted. Shennong takes his job seriously regardless of most circumstances. There's even a story bit in Chapter 10 that lampshades this exact trope; the protgonist asks for medical assistance while injured and adds a blatantly salacious remark. Shennong's respose? Cycling through 5 different expressions before essentially landing on "What the hell is ''wrong with you?"''
** However, when not under duress, he can ocassionally hit on the protgonist, including times where they may not instigate it. See: his Sunrise New Year shop line, where he playfully offers to give them a [[DoubleEntendre ''big faaat injection.'']]
* ALoadOfBull: He's a bovine Transient.
* MechanicallyUnusualFighter: One of very few units that benefits from having your party suffer a debuff, specifically poison. He possesses a unique buff - "Poison Reversal" - which acts as a regen, attack boost and defense boost, but only if the recipients are poisoned. Fortunately he can share this buff, especially since he will poison nearby teammates (and himself) when on the game field, and the regen will actually tick for slightly more than the damage the poison inflicts.
* NotSoAboveItAll: Steals a kiss on the cheek from the Protagonist during the ''Virtual Summer Memory'' event with a well-timed distraction.
* PoisonousPerson: He's ingested so many toxins that he can sweat it out with no harm ''to himself''. Others might not be so lucky, especially since one of his first abilities in-game is to poison himself and his ''allies''. Poison is his favorite research topic, but he veers into TooDumbToLive territory by taking mouthfuls of new substances to see if they're poisonous or toxic as his ''first'' step in research.
* PurplePoison: His horns and the contents of his syringe are a deep purple color, likely to reflect the nature of his powers.
* RealityEnsues: As a result of his biology, Shennong is unable to use the pool or maintain extended physical contact with anyone (lest he accidentally poisons them from his sweat).
** This is why he readily takes advantage of the Dragon Palace resort in the Virtual Summer Memory event, as his digital avatar can't poison anyone.
* RequiredSecondaryPowers: Thanks to his Sacred Artifact being his own internal organs, he's immune to the "deadly" aspect of poisons, though they might give him a nasty stomachache.
* {{Seers}}: His second sacred artifact is Nuwa's Aurora Flag, which can be seen in the background of his 4-star art. It has the power to signal the prelude to war and battle. Shennong uses it to locate sites of impending battle in order to be ready to provide aid to the people involved.
* SitcomArchNemesis: Has a relationship like this with Hakumen as he inherited her teacher's artifact.
* SkewedPriorities: Lectures the protagonist about the power of Feng Shui during the ''Sunrise New Year'' event, instead of helping Marduk who was slowly being swallowed alive by Mushussu right next to him!
* WarIsHell: Shennong spent his entire life in Hourai attempting and failing to stop an all-encompassing war. It is the reason he was originally summoned to Tokyo, and also ends up being the reason he [[spoiler: defects from the Warmongers to join the Summoners.]]
* WintryAuroralSky: One of the Artifacts he possesses is an aurora that covers a battlefield, its light change to inform him of situations, such as ongoing conflicts, or pockets of wounded. This aurora lacks the typical ice or winter association though.

A Transient hailing from the world of Xanadu, Avarga has found employment in Tokyo as an instructor and wrestling coach at Yoyogi Academy in Shibuya. His skills are widely respected in the city's martial arts circles, and he maintains strong ties to other schools specializing in close-quarters combat. While he was originally human, he now shares a body with the divine bird Khangarid, as evidenced by the feathers that constantly flutter about him. The monstrous strength he possesses is extraordinary even by Xanadu standards; if legends are to be believed, he once wrestled a great dragon to the ground with his bare hands. He is well-liked by his students for his affable, roguish demeanor, but a very different and far more intimidating side comes to the fore when angered... such as by a certain teacher at Daikanyama Academy, whom he views as his mortal rival.
----
* ArchEnemy: Apparently seeks to do combat with Arsalan specifically.
* PerpetualMolt: Green energy feathers float about him due to sharing a body with Khangarid, a divine bird.

!!Tanetomo
[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/fg_tanetomo01.png]]
[[caption-width-right:350:''Assassination Tactician'']]
!!!'''Voiced By''': Creator/YukoSanpei

A Transient from the Land of Wa. He is a calm strategist and a composed assassin who is seen working for the guild he is a part of, though this is only one facet to him. He's a person with many sides to him, giving eccentric speeches to his surroundings and being famed as a passionate and skillful ritual dancer. These are all components that make up the complex character that is Tanetomo, and those who misread him are prone to meet their doom. Tanetomo specializes in [[ISurrenderSuckers surrendering his leadership]], [[ManipulativeBastard binding the choices of his opponents, and manipulating them into his hands]]. On a tactical level he gets on well with those who treat him as a charming commodity. He holds a mix of pity and sympathy for people who get lost in destructive love.

Like the other Hakkenshi he is based on a character from Literature/NansouSatomiHakkenden - in his case the [[DudeLooksLikeALady feminine]] Inusaka Keno.
----
* AmazingTechnicolorWildlife: He's ''pink'', specifically peach. While a pink dog wouldn't be out of place for this game, that every other Hakkenshi has a much more natural fur color for a dog makes him stand out that much more.
* AssassinOutclassin: Proves himself the superior assassin when he effortlessly dispatches the shinobis sent to kill Yasuyori in the past.
* BitchInSheepsClothing: Almost literally in this case. Tanetomo's geisha training allows him to craft an elegant and affable persona that hides the inner viciousness swimming just beneath the surface of his personality.
* CombatHaircomb: He can use his hairpins as projectiles with deadly accuracy as demonstrated by his first meeting with Yasuyori.
* CombatHandFan: Swats the protagonist's sword away with a flick of his fan in chpater 11.
* CuteAndPsycho: Tanetomo's demure appearance is contrasted by his cold-blooded and almost casual approach to assassination.
* DeathSeeker: His offer for his victims to kill him are entirely sincere which is implied to be a [[ConditionalPowers condition]] of his artifact's power.
* DoesThisRemindYouOfAnything: The way Tanetomo reacted to the Protagonist mentioning Yasuyori in Chapter 11. He first goes dead silent before going back to stabbing Ellie, but this time with renewed vigor as he denounces Yasuyori for so easily believing in the lies Tanetomo fed to him or that they ever had a real relationship, platonic or otherwise, to begin and states that he was merely using Yasuyori for his own ends. The whole experience basically looked like a barely contained emotional meltdown from someone who just had a nasty break-up with poor Ellie serving as the punching bag for Tanetomo's rage over Yasuyori leaving him. Tanetomo even tries to rationalize that it was he who had cut ties with Yasuyori, rather than the other way around.
* DudeLooksLikeALady: Tanetomo is very [[PinkMeansFeminine feminine]] in appearance, making him very easy to underestimate, which is a useful trait for an assassin. This is a trait he borrows from the character he's based on.
* DullEyesOfUnhappiness: He gets these whenever he drops his mask and gets serious.
* DumpedViaTextMessage: Essentially how he felt when Yasuyori left him and returned to Yoyogi Academy, following the events of Chapter 10. Needless to say, Tanetomo did not react too well to the news.
* FaceOfAnAngelMindOfADemon:
* FlowersOfFemininity: He uses floral pins to hold his hair in place in his student attire, while he wears a floral headband/tiara, with pins tucked into his bun, in his geisha persona. Unsurprisingly, they're not [[HiddenWeapons just]] for decorations.
* FreudianExcuse: Like his novel counterpart, Tanetomo's saw his entire family butchered at a young age and their family treasure stolen. This forced him rely on his beauty to survive and seek out the offenders to avenge his family.
* HoistByHisOwnPetard: His 4-Star implies that he risks being killed either by the very person he's trying to assassinate as a result of his offer to take his sword and stab him with it always being genuine, or by his artifact's ability as a result of how he holds it.
* ImpliedLoveInterest: To Yasuyori, although Yasuyori don't seem to view him in the same light.
* ImprobableAimingSkills: Kills the shinobis sent to assassinate Yasuyori while they were hidden with just a casual flick of his hair pins.
* InTouchWithHisFeminineSide: Very much so.
* {{Keigo}}: Uses a very formal speaking pattern as expected of a person with a geisha background.
* KimonoFanservice: His alternative skin has him wearing a beautiful white and fuchsia floral kimono with his right arm, which bears his peony mark, out of its sleeve.
* PsychoPoodle: He is based on the Papillon or Continental Toy Spaniel dog breed and is extremely cunning.
* RageBreakingPoint: Played for laughs, but Tanetomo kicks and destroyed Hombre's speakers after getting annoyed by the blaring music during the ''Nyah! Happy Illusions'' event.
* RapunzelHair: His sandy hair fall is long enough to reach his knees! When performing as a geisha, he keeps it all in a PrimAndProperBun.
* SchmuckBait: Since his sword Sacred Artifact destroys whoever it's pointed at, he uses it for assassination by convincing his target to kill him with it, offering the handle to the mark while he holds the edge of it. The blade will then kill the person if their hearts are moved by Tanetomo's emotional display.
* TheSmartGuy: The virtue he embodies is ''Wisdom'' and he's an adept strategist for the Warmongers. He has enough tactical prowess to lead a vanguard against the Rule Maker's troops.
* SoftSpokenSadist: He always maintains an eerie composure to his voice even when he's in the middle of torturing someone.
* SwordAndGun: His 4* art depicts him with these, with both of their business ends pointing at him of course in order to activate his sacred artifact's power.
* WholesomeCrossdresser: Tanetomo's choice of dress is a nod to his character in the original novel, who disguised himself as a woman in order to avoid suspicion in his quest for vengeance.

!!Yasuyori
[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/fg_yasuyori01.png]]
[[caption-width-right:350:''Boastful Sergeant'']]
!!!'''Voiced By''': Creator/RyotaTakeuchi

A Transient from the Land of Wa and a member of the Yoyogi Academy sumo wrestling club in Shibuya Ward. He values the discipline, order, and hierarchy of being part of an organization, and keeps his personal feelings locked up tight. While some in his club admire these qualities, others find him inflexible and insufferably strait‐laced. He tends to clash most violently with bold, rough individuals. On the other hand, he is weak to overt expressions of kindness and to persuasion, and in his inexperience he is quick to promise marriage to others. He has a habit of scratching at his old wounds, and in his struggles with his memories of the past, he has convinced himself that there is nowhere for him but the battlefield. He deeply respects his school's physician and their tireless efforts to look after his mental health.

Like the other Hakkenshi he is based on a character from Literature/NansouSatomiHakkenden - in his case TheBigGuy Inuta Kobungo.
----
* AndThenWhat: As noted in his profile, he constantly worries about how he's going to live outside the battlefield, and arguably why's he's part of the group who seeks eternal battle: If they succeed, he doesn't have to.
* BashBrothers: The virtue held in his orb, ''Brotherhood''.
* DishingOutDirt: As a side effect of using his short sword artifact, he's capable of causing earthquakes when he swings it or with a sumo stomp.
* DogsAreDumb: So far the only example of the Hakkenshi who seemed to be behind the door when their progenitor's intelligence was portioned out. Even Tanetomo felt a little regret over how easy it was to trick Yasuyori into becoming his partner when the two had first met back in Wa.
* DrillSergeantNasty: His response to the Protagonist's determination is to have the other students brutally attempt to beat it out of them.
* {{Foil}}: To Tajikarao, ability-wise, since both their Sacred Artifacts have the ability to reveal hidden secrets, but he believes it's a power that should be used with caution, while Tajikarao uses his power with reckless abandon if he feels someone is hiding something. This is also the main reason Yasuyori dislikes him.
* FreedomFromChoice: He's so terrified of repeating his past mistakes that he would rather conform and be part of a brutal system then act on his own.
* GoodIsDumb: One of, if not ''the'' most kindhearted of the Warmongers. Also not exactly one of their smartest members.
* HealingFactor: What his Hakkenshi Orb artifact grants him. Given he's CoveredInScars, it makes one wonder how powerful it is... or how bad the injuries that left scars were.
* IAmAMonster: After Tez restored his memories of killing his friends, he believed he was this because he broke his personal promise not to kill on top of killing his friends in previous loops. As a result he left Yoyogi Academy for the Warmongers because he felt they understood what he was going through better than his friends in Yoyogi Academy.
* SexySantaDress: His new Christmas skin is a male version, and comes in two variants - one which sports the classic hat, a pair of trunks, and Santa's coat but [[WalkingShirtlessScene no shirt underneath]], and another which is just the hat and nothing but a ''thong'' to accompany it.
* SumoWrestling: He's part of the sumo club at his school, always wears a mawashi, strikes a sumo pose in his 4-Star variant, and even shouts "DOSUKOI!" in some of his voice clips. Also a trait taken from the character he's based upon.

[[folder:Balor]]
!!Balor
[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/fg_balor01.png]]
[[caption-width-right:350:''Evil Eyed King'']]
!!!'''Voiced By''': Creator/TakayaKuroda

----
* AdaptationalHeroism:
** Balor's origin is most well known for killing his grandchildren out of fear of dying at one of their hands. This Balor is hinted to actually care for them and accepts that it's natural for the old to perish for the world to remain youthful and full of life.
** Backstory-wise, because the unnamed older siblings of Lugh are AdaptedOut, this version of Balor didn't kill any of his grandchildren.
* BirdsOfAFeather: It's hinted that he shares some sort of sentimental view with Tezcatlipoca, as both are considered among the less trustworthy (as in forming contact with the protagonist, the "trophy" of the game) of the Respresentives. As a result of that, by the time that Tezcatlipoca was defeated by the protagonist, Balor himself becomes the next target of both the Representatives and Curran's faction to be removed from the board.
** Fortune Festival expands on this. Balor and Tezcatlipoca broke their code of eternal war as to their true goals do not actually align with theirs.
* AuthorityEqualsAsskicking: He has the skill and power to back up his status as king of the giants, from his massive strength to his evil eye Sacred Artifact.
* BruiserWithASoftCenter: Despite how tough he is, he really love his grandson.
* DeathSeeker: His only goal at Tokyo is to die at the hands of someone, to the point that he accepts all the imprisonments and being used as a tool by the other Representatives. The Fortune Festival heavily implies that the person is Lugh, his grandson and one of the souls inside the protagonist.
* TheDreaded: Feared even among the Warmongers for his strength and battle mindset that doesn't hold back against anyone, and especially his Evil Eye Sacred Artifact that can kill anyone at his gaze. That said, Balor himself considers Shiva and "another person" to hold said title.
* DramaticIrony: Despite being a member of Warmongers, Fortune Festival reveals that he does not share their goal of world of eternal war at all, as he knows that all don't last for eternity and the old must die by the young's hands in order for the world to go forward, and only cooperates with them to follow his own belief.
* GrandpaWhatMassiveHotnessYouHave: Despite his aging years as "grandpa" (per his profile and legend), he is pretty fit and ripped.
* HeroKiller: He successfully offed the protagonist in one of the previous loops, but the act broke his heart so much that he pretty much resigned himself to deathrow.
* HeelFaceTurn: After much prodding from Tezcatlipoca from multiple past loops, Balor decides to follow his own heart by allying himself with the protagonist, protecting them from Shiva's attack.
* LukeIAmYourFather: Is the maternal grandfather to one of the protagonist's souls, Lugh.
* MagicEye: His sacred artifact is his crimson left eye, which has the power to instantly kill and destroy almost anything that falls under its gaze.
* MismatchedEyes: One blue, one [[RedEyesTakeWarning red]].
* PowerLimiter: His headband and chains function as one.
* RedEyesTakeWarning: The hidden eye's color is red, and the source of his destructive power.
* SelfRestraint: When first meeting Balor, he's shown shackled and chained in the Warmonger prison complex. Unlike the other guild members who first undergo this while being indoctrinated, Balor does this willingly due to his devastating powers.
* SparedByTheAdaptation: In the original myth, Balor was killed by his grandson after having his Evil Eye pierced with a slingshot. This Balor on the other hand, never experienced such event as the one who was banished from their world was instead Lugh.
* VitriolicBestBuds: Though he isn't fond of the fact Tezcatlipoca can read his thought like reading a paper, Balor comments that he will sure to leave flowers on Tez's grave in respect if he happens to kick the bucket before him.
* {{Yandere}}: His love declaration is essentially telling the Protagonist that he will deprive them of their everything and love them until his soul perishes.

!!Daikoku
[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/fg_daikoku01.png]]
[[caption-width-right:350:''Police Superintendent'']]
!!!'''Voiced By''': Creator/RyuzaburoOtomo

----
* AnimalMotifs: According to [=RybiOK=], the strand of hair drooping over his forehead is supposed to invoke anglerfish's glowing lure.
* AdaptationalVillainy: The gods that are his origin are on the side of good, if somewhat destructive at time. This Daikoku's morality is, to put it simple, ambiguous.
* AlternateCharacterReading: His current name "Daikoku" (大黒) is an alternate reading of Okuni (大国), his original name. This is, among other things, is unavoidably LostInTranslation.
* BerserkButton: To put it softly, he really loathes Amaterasu.
* BoringButPractical: His 3* version has lower stats, but is still an efficient CP batter, defense buffer, and healer as much as his 5* is, plus lower deployment cost to boot.
* CastingAShadow: His powers allow him to command darkness and Shadow, allowing him to either bind his enemies with Shadow tendrils or to have the Shadows consume them and place them under his control, thanks to his second Sacred Artifact "Country of Root" (Ne no Kuni).
* CerebusRetcon: His friendly interactions with Ebisu in previous events are even more disturbing now that we know Daikoku has been possessed this whole time.
* CharmPerson: Has charm debuff as part of his CS's effect.
* DecompositeCharacter: Storyline-wise, Shiva, Mahakala, and Daikokuten are treated as different beings rather being the same person.
* DemonicPossession: Turns out, Daikoku has been possessed by Ōkuninushi-no-Kami, the mythical nation-building god of Japan. Tsukuyomi realized this when he was entrapped within Daikoku's shadow realm and revealed the truth once Ellie had managed to rescue him. It's unknown what has become of the original Daikoku or if there's anything left of him.
* DirtyCop: Can't get any dirtier than a police deputy commissioner who is also the boss of an entire slave trade network.
* DoesNotLikeSpam: It's implied that he dislike Benten's Love Song for unknown reason in Fortune Festival event.
* FatalFlaw: According to himself: [[SayingTooMuch exposing too much of his own villainous plan to his enemy]], which screwed his plan multiple times in the previous loops. He has since resolved to simply keep everyone else in the dark until the time for his machinations comes to fruition.
* FreudianExcuse: His willingness to engage in what is effectively people trafficking stems from when his own power and prestige was in danger from his divine peers. As such he takes special joy in controlling the genuinely powerful.
* {{Fundoshi}}: His 5 stars skin sports one. Curiously, he is not treated as "unit with swimsuit" unlike Musashi and Sanat Kumara.
* TheHeavy: Despite many of the Warmongers such as Balor and Shiva possessing more powerful and destructive abilities, Daikoku is by far regarded as the most dangerous member of the group despite not being a Representative due to his mysterious background, calculative personality, clear criminal acts, and his goal involving Mahakala of the Great Darkness.
* IHaveManyNames: While he calls himself Daikoku, he also goes by the name "Mahakala". However, his true name is heavily implied to be Okuni as in Okuninushi.
* HumanTraffickers: He runs the Tokyo underground slave trade and makes no distinction whether his ''goods'' are native humans or transients. As long as he finds them profitable, he will make it his job to capture them and sell them off to the highest bidder. In fact, he leverages his position as the police superintendent in order to have the necessary manpower and authority to arrest as many people as possible and then sell them off whenever he pleases.
* LogicalWeakness: He's powerless to stop Ellie when she enters his realm to rescue Tanetomo and Tsukuyomi as being a vampire, she is seen as a ruler of the night and thus immune to his powers.
* MeaningfulName: Is named after Daikokuten, aka Japanese version of Shiva.
* MulticoloredHair: Black and white, just like Shiva.
* OOCIsSeriousBusiness: He is visibly shocked when Tsukuyomi called him "Great Darkness", before switching back to calling him Daikoku.
* SugarAndIcePersonality: He is viewed by some as kind and compassionate, while the others view him as cruel, manipulative, and destructive. This mysterious contradiction has not gone unnoticed by the protagonist and Tsukuyomi.
* TheLastOfTheseIsNotLikeTheOthers: His connection to Mahakala is not because his Sacred Artifact one belonged to him like the the previous five, but because the the three Sacred Treasures he took from the Susanoo sharing the same role and rule as Mahakala.
* RedHerring: Double-folded. Despite the evidence, he is not the Representative of Deka Lova. Shiva is.
** He's not even the real Daikoku. It's actually another god who have hijacked his body in order to fulfill their agenda.
* VaporWear: His "Fortune God" costume put him in a robe, headband, and towel, with no possibility for underwear in sight.
* VillainWithGoodPublicity: Daikoku is beloved and respected by the students at Kiou, including Tajikarao, as the noble superintendent and school principal, but he has a darker side of holding illegal auction and being the leader of black market and transient trafficking.
* WeaksauceWeakness:
** According to Tsukuyomi, if anyone is able to call out his true name, then all of his darkness would lose its power. [[CrazyPrepared That is]], if you know he's actually Okuninushi, otherwise calling him by his host's name does nothing to negate his powers.
** Tanetomo mentions that because "shadow" ranks lower than "sunlight", his power is always second to those who wield said power.
* ZergRush: He has managed to collection an extensive army of Shadow minions and hope to use their numerical advantage against Amaterasu.

[[caption-width-right:350:''Sun Emperor Carrier'']]
!!!'''Voiced By''': Creator/JunkoTakeuchi

----
* HiddenDepths: The reason he chooses to not confront and fight against the protagonist despite it being the Warmongers' modus operandi is because he witnessed that Balor had lost all of his will to live after doing such and killing the protagonist as result, thus refrains from the action in order to not end up like him.
* {{Hunk}}: He is totally ripped despite his youthful look.
* ImprobableAimingSkills: According to his profile, his arrow will always reach its target as long as they're in the world of sunlight. In contrast, it cannot reach the land of night or the ocean depth where there is no sunlight.
* GameplayAndStoryIntegration: He sympathizes with people who also lost loved ones to the oceans and doesn't get along with people who block the sun, so he give Makara the Friendship buff (since he lost Varuna to the sea as well) and gives Korpokkur the Anger buff (since his leaves can block the sun).
* LogicalWeakness: As a consequence, he can't affect anything that isn't in his light, whether if its blocked or it can't reach. Notably this causes him some grief, since its implied he's lost someone deep in the oceans, where light cannot reach.
* TheOmniscient: Similar to Tsukuyomi and Amaterasu, as his world's representative, he's capable of observing everything the light of his Sun touches thanks to his Rule.
* PlayingWithFire: His 3* element, fitting his role as the Sun God.
* TheStraightAndArrowPath: Use bow and arrow as his weapon of choice.
* WalkingShirtlessScene: His default costume has no shirt, only clothing hanging from his hips.
* VagueAge: Appearance-wise, while he titled himself "Boy King", one of his alternate outfits is a modified Gakuran which is traditionally not worn before high school. Adding his musculature and its hard to believe that his age is anything below 13.

Nezha is now emotionally attached to someone who has traces of that person but not their destiny and calls them senpai. Due to their past, Nezha doesn't get on well with anyone who reminds them of their nagging father.
----
* BloodKnight: In the "Jiangshi Night" event they are constantly looking for an excuse to get into fights.
* BlueAndOrangeMorality: A low-key version; Nezha was built for war and as such views almost everything as some form of competition, and since their body can be rebuilt if it's broken to pieces, they don't quite grasp how terribly final death can be, having never come close to facing it themselves.
* ChallengeSeeker: Nezha is the "welcome committee" for Umamichi - by which we mean they try to pick a fight with anyone and everyone who comes onto the academy grounds. It's their Role to do so, but they take a ''little'' too much glee in it, and often have to be distracted from it by Hanuman.
* CripplingOverspecialization: Their in-game skillset is built around having incredible mobility... but they don't hit particularly hard; they don't buff their allies; and they don't meaningfully debuff the enemies, only getting the ability to apply one weak Burn debuff after their final Limit Break. In a game where group synergy is key, Nezha brings nothing to the table another character couldn't do just as well, if not better, and with less overall utility.
* SempaiKohai: Has this relationship with Hanuman, with Nezha being the junior of the two.
* UselessUsefulSpell: Nezha can stack multiple Acceleration buffs, essentially hyper charging their CP to use their charge skill often... except they don't do much beyond that and even their charge skill only really lets them move better; which would be fine if they had any move skills, but they don't.

!!Marduk
[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/fg_marduk01.png]]
[[caption-width-right:350:''Calf of the Sun'']]
->Voiced By: Creator/FukushiOchiai

----
* AwesomeButImpractical: Mushussu's regenerative powers can bring Marduk back from the brink of death, but it results in Marduk being mind-wiped when completed.
* ChainmailBikini: Wear a golden armor with cape that barely covers anything, then Clothing Damage kicks in.
* EatenAlive: Unfortunately for Marduk, his pet dragon Mushussu likes to do this to him. A lot. Thankfully its powers allows it to regurgitate him in a new body free of injuries. Of course, Mushussu seems to enjoy doing this to his master even when Marduk is not injured.
* FlyingFirepower: Thanks to Mushussu, Marduk can maintain aerial advantage and reposition himself while sniping his opponents from afar.
* HarmfulHealing: Mushussu heals him by eating him, and it's noted that it's not a pleasant sensation.
* HorribleJudgeOfCharacter: To say he is naïve would be an understatement. He readily place his complete trust in those he considers on his side and would never suspect his allies of foul play or deception against him. This bites him when the other members of the Warmongers send him out to the battlefield in order to covertly eliminate him. This attitude might have something to do with the culture of Babel.
* LaserGuidedAmnesia: The unfortunate side effect of Mushussu's power is that Marduk is reborn in an almost literal sense as his mind is wiped clean as much as his own body is. Every time Marduk is devoured and regurgitated, he mentally regresses to the first moments of his summoning which erases any prior relationships he might have had, forcing him to relearn friend from foe.
* MemoryJar: Subverted. It's implied his pillar is the stone tablet hanging from his neck, but for some reason it's not working at the moment. If it was functional, that would eliminate the drawback of using Mushussu to heal himself.
* OurDragonsAreDifferent: Has a red dragon companion whose power can rejuvenate Marduk of any wounds by swallowing him whole, healing him, and spitting him back out.
* WorfHadTheFlu: For some reasons, his Mandate of Heaven Clay Tablet's power cannot be utilized properly, and thus is unable to recall the memories from the past loops. Which may be due to Shuichi, given that he is shown to possess a Sacred Artifact with very similar design..
* WeaksauceWeakness: As incarnation of Babel's sun, Marduk's offensive power heavily diminishes during nighttime, especially as against the opponent who draws power from his weakness like Ellie.

[[caption-width-right:350:''Orge Exterminator Commander'']]
->Voiced By: Creator/WataruTakagi

Transient from the world of Wa no Kuni and its Representative. Back home, his childhood name was Onimusha or Oniwakamaru. He is one member of the subsystem that controls the world, The Originator/Minamoto(?). He is also a corporate man who excels at politically defining someone as an enemy and uniting everyone else against them. By changing his weaknesses into many and cutting off ties when the need arises, he can flip around the political game board. Yoritomo loves sumo wrestling contests, and his hobby is sponsoring his favorite sumo wrestlers. He fears falling off of a horse, and he does not feel that moving around much is a good thing. He is greatly feared by those who know his past, especially if they have been given a sword by him. As the mirror image of his younger brother's grown self and the Azuma warriors who followed his brother's example, he despises mirrors.\\\
----
* AdaptationSpeciesChange: Like Oniwaka, the game's Yoritomo is implied to be of Oni descent.
* BoomerangBigot: Detest Onis, when it's clear he has Oni blood.
* ChronicBackstabbingDisorder: By his own words, "allies" are just people who're temporary useful to him, which tells a lot about his mindset.
* FantasticRacism: Is implied to hold unnatural amount hatred toward the Onis, Ogres, and Demons. Which is [[{{Hypocrite}} hypocritical]], since going by his spectral horns, Oni blood flows in his veins and he's by definition a Transient.
* HornedHumanoid: Similar to Toji, he possesses a pair of spectral horns on his head, hidden by his hat.
* KatanasAreBetter: He wields an ornate katana.
* LukeIAmYourFather: Is the brother of one of the protagonist's souls, Yoshitsune.
* OneSteveLimit: Played with. Real-life historical fact wise, his childhood name is "Oniwakamaru", which is very similar to "Benkei"'s Oniwaka.
* RageAgainstTheReflection: Implied to have a case of this. Yoritomo's own resemblance to his brother, Yoshitsune, makes it uncomfortable for him to look at himself in the mirror as it reminds him of his regrets for what he has done to his brother.
* ScarsAreForever: Has a large horizontal one across his face.
* YouHaveOutlivedYourUsefulness: Has a nasty habit of doing this to his subordinates. Not even his own brother was safe from this as one can recall from Japanese history. He typically signal someone has served their purpose to him through gifting the individual a sword and then sending them off on a SuicideMission.

[[caption-width-right:350:[[labelnote:Unmasked]]https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/fg_mephistopheles01.png]][[/labelnote]]
->Voiced By: Creator/RikiyaKoyama

Transient from the World of Gehenna and its Representative. The infamous demon from the story of [[Myth/{{Faust}} Faust]] who forged a contract with the dissatisfied scholar for earthly pleasures in exchange for the man's soul.

Here Mephistopheles acts as the administration manager of the shadow cabinet within Tokyo's legislative Diet in order further the Warmonger's ambitions.
----
* AllOfTheOtherReindeer: Mephisto revealed to Duo that he didn't actually become a Representative through banishing someone from his homeworld like all the Reps. Rather, it was actually Lucifer/Shaytan who had granted the title to him before the former had vanished from Gehenna. This has causes some personal awkwardness for Mephisto as he feels out of place compared to his colleagues and their goals.
** Unlike most of the Transients from Gehenna, who were either casted away or fled there, Mephisto was a true native of Gehenna.
* {{Baphomet}}: Mephistopheles is, unsurprisingly, a demonic caprine transient as one would expect of the demon who popularize the idea of demonic contracts.
* BattleButler: His outfit isn't just for show. Mephistopheles was essentially Shaytan's butler back in Gehenna, and then Faust's when he had contracted with the man.
* {{Bishonen}}: Has a quite soft features beneath his mask, compared to Lil'Salomon. Doesn't mean that he isn't capable of NightmareFace though.
* TheBlank: He was originally just a shadow demon, but thanks to the connection between the Player and Lil Sal, Mephisto has since gained a recognizable form.
* BoobsAndButtPose: His 4 star card puts a heavy emphasis on his rather ample assets by putting him in this pose as he exits his mirror portal.
* TheCorruptor: He loves gradually corrupting his contractors and watching them fall further and further from grace as they drown in depravity. Although interestingly, he's also amused by people who seem like easy-to-corrupt types, but are able to stop themselves and resist temptation.
** This is also the reason why he dislike Snow, his anti-thesis as a butler. While Snow raises his charges to be kings and generally nurturing their best qualities in order to mold them into superior individuals, Mephistopheles does quite the opposite. Mephistopheles would rather lavish his charges in decadence and feed their worse traits until they become the worse version of themselves.
* DealWithTheDevil: He's the TropeCodifier and the unique buff he gives is literally called '''Deal with the Devil'''. The buff works in tandem with the debuff '''Price of Contract''' both of which are given by his first skill. While the unit is holding both status, they will receive a whooping 6x multiplier to their attack, 20 CP, and a minor defense boost for 2 turns. Of course, this being a Faustian bargain, there's a catch. While the buff last 2 turns, the debuff last 6 and without the buff, the debuff will activate, causing the unit to take [[DamageIncreasingDebuff extra damage]] and lock skill activation. This means it's critical that the player consistently refresh the buff on the affected unit whenever it expires.
* {{Guyliner}}: Mephistopheles has noticeably dark outlines around his eyes which are likely natural rather than the result of products as similar marks can be seen on the fur on his cheeks.
* TheHedonist: Not him, but what he turns all his summoners into if given the chance, which he'll enjoy every second of.
* IdenticalStranger: Looks very suspiciously similar to a beefed up version of Lil' Salomon. Though his face is less cartoonish than Lil Sal's. Dialogue from chapter 11 implies he's some interconnected piece to Salomon and the Player, but this has yet to be elaborated upon.
** His character bio states his present appearance is merely a reflection of Salomon, who's completely unrelated to him. This might have something to do with his nature as a Shadow and thus a reflection of his masters whose souls currently resides within the Player.
* LostLenore: It's implied that he harbored more than simple interest in Faust, but failed to claim his soul like in [[Creator/JohannWolfgangVonGoethe Goethe's]] famous play adaptation of the novel.
* MagicallyBindingContract: His second Sacred Artifact, his infernal contract for making Faustian bargains.
* MagicMirror: His first Sacred Artifact, a light reflecting mirror that allows him to teleport between mirrors.
* MalevolentMaskedMen: He's one of the most famous demons in Western literature and wears a stylish mask to hide his uncanny resemblance to Lil Salomon. He ditches the mask in the latter half of chapter 11.
* MeaningfulName: Mephistopheles, He Who Does Not Love the Light, doesn't mean he's [[WeakenedByTheLight weak to light]], rather it references his nature as a Shadow, both figurative and literal, to the light he serves. He is the shadow casted by the shining light of his master's soul.
* MirrorMonster: He has the ability appear from any mirror, which his 4 star art depicts.
* NiceShoes: Wears special shoes that accommodate for his cloven feet; they even have horseshoe-like soles built into the bottom.
* ShoutOut: Mephisto's alternative skin serves as one for his historical portrayals in plays, where his character was often dressed in a crimson jester-like costume and thus became the meme codifier for our depiction of the BigRedDevil today.
* SirNotAppearingInThisTrailer: Zigzagged. He is the only character whose face is intentionally concealed in the "Infinite Days of Lives" PV.
* SlasherSmile: Flashes these when he's particularly excited.
* {{Yandere}}: He yearns for another chance to drive Faust, and thus the Player to depravity and claim their soul for his own. Although he is much more restrained than most examples and would rather wait for the right opportunity to slake his desires.

->Voiced By: Creator/YasuyukiKase

----
* AnimalMotifs: Snake, though unlike the original myth, the one around his neck is simply a necklace and not flesh-and-blood.
* BeyondTheImpossible: According to Bertro, no Transient possesses the power to destroy their very world. Shiva himself is the exception.
* BlessedWithSuck: Does not take it very well that he was given the power of Love and Desire by Kamadeva, and vows to kill the protagonist who holds the soul of his archenemy.
* ChainmailBikini: His Shiva-Mahakala form features him in a black armor that covers so less that he might as well not wearing anything.
* DecompositeCharacter: As stated in Daikoku's profile, he and Daikoku(ten) aren't the same person.
* TheFaceless: Like Algernon, Shiva hides his face with a helmet.
* FusionDance: Merges with the Exception Mahakala to become the Warmonger's ultimate weapon, Shiva-Mahakala.
* TheJuggernaut: The few story battles against Shiva are all HoldTheLine missions, as Shiva cannot even be actually harmed in these battles.
* MulticoloredHair: Black and white, just like his equivalent, Daikoku, though his is more Shonen-hair variant.
* MultiArmedAndDangerous: As per his legend, though they're disembodied mechanical hands here and can transform into two of his clones. The two duplicates of Shiva represents his Past and Future, while he himself represents the Present.
* SpikesOfVillainy: Gains them on his shoulders in his Shiva-Mahakala form.
* ThirdEye: He has a third eye, and if it opens bad things are about to happen.
* ThongOfShielding: Part of his alternate costume, again, like Daikoku.
* UnexpectedCharacter: InUniverse. With Daikoku's mythological origin's association with Shiva, no one expects the original guy himself to appear in the game.
* WeaksauceWeakness: Due to his history with Kamadeva in the past, he is weak against those that share similar power with his archenemy like Shinya, who forces him to flee with the power of Cupid's arrow.
