* {{Foreshadowing}}: Her first real ClingyJealousGirl moment kicks in when it seems like Usato is having a CrushBlush around Nea shortly after they first met, and she says he'll definitely get tricked by women in the future, to which Usato actually wonders if that's a vision of hers. She didn't -- [[RightForTheWrongReasons and was right on the mark anyway.]]

* TheQuietOne: She keeps to herself and rarely ever calls attention to herself.

* NotSoDifferentRemark: Tends to be compared to Rose, right down to her same ogre-ish mannerisms of raw anger when something really manages to piss him off. [[ObliviousToHisOwnDescription The comments either fly over his head]], or he vehemently denies such claims despite being too close to be coincidental.

* OutsideContextProblem: Rose seems to have trained him to fill this role. In a world totally focused on what magic an individual has, someone being outright superhuman through training their body is relatively unheard of and no one has any idea on how to prepare for him. Part of this gradually becomes a subversion as news of his feats become spread out across the kingdoms, but then there's the fact that he's from another world, which means he also applies foreign logic to his abilities that are against all the rules and logic of this one, such as ''baseball pitching'' his magic as actual physical projectiles despite them having no mass or weight.

* OutsideContextProblem: Rose seems to have trained him to fill this role. In a world totally focused on what magic an individual has, someone being outright superhuman through training their body is relatively unheard of and no one has any idea on how to prepare for him. Gradually becomes a subversion as news of his feats become spread out across the kingdoms.

* BystanderSyndrome: Constantly subjected to it. Mina rounds up a gang of thugs, they use him as target practice, and leave his unconscious form in public, yet nobody ever so much as carries him out of the middle of the street. In fact, if Usato hadn't intervened, she and her merry little gang would have blasted him to death!
* DarkAndTroubledPast: Parents abandoned him, Mina, a noble SpoiledBrat constantly rounds up goons to hunt, harass, and traumatize him by brutalizing him to the brink of death, to the point that his healing magic only works on himself as an unconscious self-defense mechanism, and the townsfolk all just gather around and say "he's obviously okay because he hasn't died yet."

* DirtyCoward: Despite the fact that Nack can't fight back, she never goes after him alone. She always brings an entire gang of thugs to brutalize him. She also never challenges anyone she knows can fight back, often hiding behind her parents' influence to avoid the consequences of her behavior.
* DomesticAbuse: To Battered Spouse Syndrome levels. The way the Luqvis arc ends in the manga is ''supposed to be'' heartwarming, with Nack realizing Mina actually loves him and Mina going from a bully who tries to beat him to death to soothe her frustrations to a friendly rivalry where the two of them struggle to make each other better. This is not what happens. When Nack successfully fights off her abuse, and rightfully leaves her behind, out comes the water-works and she guilt-trips him into making a romantic declaration, at which point she openly declares that she's going to hunt him down and ''enslave him.'' Real-life people who've been through this kind of treatment don't find this remotely romantic.
* DoubleStandardAbuseFemaleOnMale: If Mina's and Nack's genders were reversed, it's extremely unlikely anyone would see the ending of the Luqvis arc as a heartwarming romantic resolution between them, as opposed to an abuser manipulating a victim to stay in a toxic relationship.

* ItsAllAboutMe: After reuniting with Nack at the Luqvis Magic Academy, she found him to be sullen, withdrawn, and he refused to have anything to do with her. She took this as a personal affront and rejection, and started physically abusing him on an almost daily basis, not realizing ([[LackOfEmpathy or caring]]) that he was clearly suffering from depression from being abandoned and rejected by his family.
* LovingBully: Is smitten with Nack, but thinks the best way to display such "affection" is to round up a gang of thugs and brutalize him to the brink of death, the moment she's frustrated with anything.

* PlayingWithFire: Specializes in fire magic, especially fire-balls.

* {{Yandere}}: When Nack, the boy she constantly bullies, to the brink of death, tries to leave her behind, as he should, she goes full-tilt TakingYouWithMe.

* BerserkButton: Discrimination is a more serious one in general, but if someone starts mocking him for not exactly seeming human and they actually have genuine malice behind the words, [[NotSoDifferent he'll start balling up his fists and looking almost identical to Rose's anger.]]

* RapunzelHair: Her hair reaches her hip, if not the top of her boots.

* YouGottaHaveBlueHair: The manga covers depict him with dark blue hair.

* YouGottaHaveBlueHair: Judging from the [[https://imgur.com/1X22stC light novel cover]], she's got green hair.

* ImmigrantPatriotism: He's from Luqvis originally, but he moved to Lyngel because their more liberal, tolerant society was more to his liking. He's now one of the kingdom's best guards, and is fiercely loyal to King Lloyd and his family.

* GotVolunteered: Like Usato and Fellum, they were each beaten up and dragged into the Rescue Squad by Rose.

* RagtagBunchOfMisfits: According to Fellum, they look like a mix of goblins, ogres, and bandits. They don't look like they'd get along, at all, and she's right. Fear of Rose's wrath is the only thing keeping them civil.

* AngerBornOfWorry: She gets ''very'' upset when Kazuki accidentally lets it slip he almost died during his first battle with the demons and didn't tell her.
* DontCallMeSir: She insists that Usato and the heroes simply address her As Seria-sama, not "princess" or "highness".
* EatingTheEyeCandy: She likes to watch Kazuki train and exercise in the palace garden. Later, during the visit to the Rescue Squad HQ, Seria covers her eyes when Suzune pulls off Usato's shirt to inspect his abs...but still peeks through her fingers.

* BrainwashedAndCrazy: [[spoiler:Nea enchants him with her magic and makes him her [[TheDragon own personal knight]] to try to defeat Usato. Fortunately, Usato is able to subdue and snap him out of it before either of them dies.]]

* AchillesHeel: Due to OutsideContextMagic. She's entirely vulnerable to healing magic.

* ButtMonkey: She might just be the worst one in the story. After being captured, she's subjected to many of the same punishments Usato himself was given. However, whereas these trials caused [[TookALevelInBadass Usato to grow as a fighter]], with Fellum, they seem to be an excuse to bully her and nothing else. Notably she is the only person that Nack has shown to outwardly snark at.

* RealityEnsues: She wants to help the heroes but with Karon wrecking havoc on her kingdom and her resources being spread thin, she's not exactly in a position to do so.

* RealityEnsues: When the child of a major sponsor to your institution gives you grief, there's not much you can do about it while avoiding offending said sponsor, especially if said sponsor is on the "Snobs" side of SlobsVsSnobs.

* ClosetGeek: Heavily implied. As Student Council president, she had to keep her Otaku hobbies a secret to maintain her popular girl image. But, as soon as she and the others are transported to the other world, she's not only excited about becoming a MagicKnight in a fantasy world, but spends most of the series [[LampshadeHanging hanging lampshades]] and quoting tropes from adventure, fantasy and romantic pop-culture (and complaining when real-life doesn't match up with her expectations).

* AintTooProudToBeg: Bowed his head to the ground when Kazuki protested, loudly, about being summoned to fight an alien war, without giving informed consent first.

* GotVolunteered: Like Usato and Fellum, they were beaten up and dragged into the Rescue Squad by Rose.

* JerkWithAHeartOfGold: They can often come across as a gang of angry assholes, but they occassionaly show a softer side to Usato, Nack, and even Fellum.

* {{Troll}}: They love to poke and provoke each other, and Usato, just to get a rise out of it. They take it too far, and Rose will clamp down, violently.

* CruelToBeKind: She puts her underlings through absolutely hellish training, pushing them to the brink of physical and mental exhaustion, healing them with magic, then starting it all over again. However, she does it to make sure they are fast enough and strong enough to survive their battles against the demon army.

* GenreRefugee: Like his two friends, he's just an OrdinaryHighSchoolStudent suddenly transported to another world and asked to fight against an army of demons, and he is understandably freaked out at the prospect of taking lives in a war. It takes a pep talk from Usato to get him focused an motivated the night before their first battle.

* PowerIncontinence: In the past he could heal others as well as himself, but his depression and isolation robbed him of the ability to connect with others, so he could only heal himself. He rediscovers his ability to heal others during the fight with Mina, healing her hands when he stops her from self-destructing.

* SealedEvilInACan: For whatever reason, the previous hero opted to seal it's soul away in his sword as opposed to outright killing it.

* {{Seer}}: She can see into the future. If she's sleeping, she can see up to a whole year but typically she isn't able to see very far. However, perhaps the reason why she views this ability as a curse is that once she sees the future it cannot be changed... [[TimeyWimeyBall typically]]. There are exceptions where if the future can be changed, she will be able to see a ''second'' future and will be able to show glimpse of either future to the one that could change it.

* DesperatelySeekingAPurposeInLife: She found life on Earth boring, and her life without meaning. Along comes the summon spell, and she's as giddy as a small kid on her birthday.

* RetGone: [[spoiler:She does this voluntarily at the end of her introductory arc, wiping herself from the memories of the townspeople she mind controlled for over 300 years, even though they only knew her as a young villager. When quizzed, the old woman who took the role of her mother only has a vague feeling of living in the same house as her, nothing more. Nea herself doesn't seem too bothered by any of this.]]
* SquishyWizard: She relies entirely on mind control and sorcery to fight and restrain her enemies, [[spoiler:figuring out early on that a direct confrontation with someone like Usato would be pointless, which is why she uses mind-controlled zombies, Arc, and even an ancient zombie dragon instead of confronting him one-on-one. This also applies after her HeelFaceTurn when she joins Usato's party as his familiar; through their link she is able to enhance Usato's abilities, give him her restaint magic powers, and dispel harmful effects and curses from him, essentially becomes a support player to Usato's tank.]]
