He had been staying with a man called James Raikes, who is the nephew of Mrs Widdecombe. For a while he went under the name of Hugh Hefner. He took over James' ezblog and used it to update readers on criminal cases he took on. One of these cases crossed over with that of HerculePoirot. After pursuing Poirot through London, he followed him to Paris. The two eventually met at the Eiffel Tower. Poirot didn't believe Holmes' claims as to his identity and they parted on bad terms. He spent time in [[BigApplesauce New York]] before being redirected to Seattle to investigate Don Quixote.
