The headmaster of the North school, who has epilepsy and struggles with mental health issues. He is also the father of Luna and is known for his reputation when it comes to his temper.

* AdaptationDyeJob: Brandon's hair is usually blonde (or bleached) but as of the third season of ''The Cursed Children'', he decides to go back to his natural dark brown hair.
* AllGirlsWantBadBoys: Katherine used to find him irresistible. Although Brandon is dark, and immoral, he is the epitome of TheCasanova and a womanizer, someone who exudes dark charm and a seductive nature and aura about him. Brandon is rich, powerful, strong and hot.
* {{Animorphism}}: Unlike most werewolves, he has a wolf form that he can shift into whenever he chooses, without being tied to the full moon, due to being part of the North family. [[spoiler:This is later revealed due to being Vincente's son]].

* EvenEvilHasLovedOnes: Is utterly furious after Kai and Kayleigh tried running with his daughter.
* IncestSubtext - "Brandon Darko" (as Kai likes to put it) seemed to enjoy taunting Luna by asking her to call him "daddy", to get under her skin. However, it was most likely a show of jealousy when it came to her close relationship with Kai.

* EvenEvilHasLovedOnes: Seems to love his little sister and is utterly furious after Chantelle makes Kandice lie about drowning in a pool to cover up something far more drastic.
* EvilWearsBlack: Kai's wardrobe is complete with dark colors especially black. It seems to fit his personality, as he is highly antagonistic.
* GameFace: Kai does this a lot.
* InsaneEqualsViolent: Kai can be crazy, vicious, and murderous when he wants to be.

* PapaWolf: As soon as Kristin realizes that she is Kai's daughter, he becomes extremely overprotective of her. After "rescuing" Luna, he promises Vince that he'll give his life, before letting harm come to her.
* PrettyBoy: Kayleigh certainly thinks so with or without his beard.
* WouldHurtAChild: This excludes his own children. However, when he doesn't get what he wants he has a habit of bringing children into the bargain.

* DeathSeeker: Katherine briefly becomes this after Reuben is killed. She tells Brandon she wishes to die. Brandon angrily snaps her out of it.
* GoodIsNotSoft: Katherine is generally nice and caring but it isn't a good idea to get on her bad side by hurting people she loves.
* HeroicBSOD: Katherine has one when she discovers that she's pregnant with Grayson's child.
* HotWitch: Katherine is a physically attractive young woman.
* InTheBlood: In her veins runs the blood of Freya Mikaelson and Reuben North, and in their veins runs an insatiable amount of power.

* AngerBornOfWorry: This is something he picked up from his step-daughter. He becomes upset with Reuben due to the fact that his the chief of police, and is simply worried about his safety.
* DaddyHadAGoodReasonForAbandoningYou: Gives his only daughter up, and unbeknownst to her, he deeply regrets it. He gave Luna up to protect her from Reuben's wrath, but it later turns out the Reuben was actually hurt by Vince's actions.

* KnightTemplarParent: If it weren't for his daughter's existence, Vince probably would've landed himself in jail, considering that he was on the verge on killing James, who caused Luna a tremendous amount of pain.

** She's always excited to see Vince.
* DaddysGirl: She at first tells Brandon she doesn't want anything to do with him. However, after Elizabeth tells her Brandon had a seizure, she breaks down. Brandon tells her he'll always love her. They rekindle their relationship at the end, implying that they'll grow closer before time is up. However, it was revealed that Vince is her biological father, and it's been seen that Vince is highly overprotective of her, and once threatened to hex her boyfriend if he let anything happen to her.
* DatingWhatDaddyHates: Her father liked Aria but not Dalton.
* DeadpanSnarker: Luna is liberal with her sarcasm and witty remarks in general.
