Given that Heihachi uses ki-based attacks, I wouldn't say that "his strength is entirely non-supernatural" is an accurate statement.

Sakurai cited this as the reason he went with Kazuya instead of Heihachi, as he felt the Devil Gene powers could more easily fill out a more ''Smash''-appropriate moveset.

** His Mii Costume in ''Smash 4'' is first introduced at the end of [[Franchise/StreetFighter Ryu's]] trailer, referencing ''VideoGame/StreetFighterXTekken''.
** In ''Ultimate'', his Mii is first seen throwing Wolf into the volcano on [[VideoGame/WiiSportsResort Wuhu Island]], a reference to him throwing Kazuya into a volcano at the end of ''Tekken 2''.
** Then, his Mii is shown fighting Yoshi. This is likely a reference to Yoshimitsu, a ninja from both the ''Tekken'' games and the ''VideoGame/SoulSeries'', of which Heihachi and Link both guested in.
