* SternTeacher: UpToEleven. Even though Han Sen does all his homework, gets passing grades, and clears the mid-semester assessment with ease, she wants to utterly destroy him because he doesn't spend every waking moment in her classroom, doing whatever it is they do in class.

* EntitledToHaveYou: To Qin Xiuan. He honestly believes she's a good fit for him, and he's entitled to woo her, regardless of her protests, anyone else gets close to her and he must die. The only reason he doesn't act on it is that he's a coward who knows she's strong and skilled enough to make him disappear in God's Sanctuary if the two were to openly clash, if he dares provoke her too much.

* AtrociousAlias: When a reporter chances upon him sporting his gold-beetle armor, he gets given the alias "Dollar" and it sticks. He pointedly does not like it, but it serves him well as a secret identity that he can use to retaliate against his ArchEnemy, "Son of Heaven."

* MismatchedEyes: As a fused royal spirit, one eye gold, one eye silver.

* NotSoDifferent: Her past is very, very similar to Han Sen, but she's even more jaded.

* RealityEnsues: You, a self-proclaimed "expert" talk shit about a fan favorite, and openly admit that your views are based solely on nepotism, being completely dismissive to all the fans, ''even those on the opposite team of said favorite'' when they call you out on it, and then you're proven wrong? Kiss your career goodbye.

* RealityEnsues: Your lover disappears without warning, no way to reach them for over a year, and everyone presumes they're dead? Yeah, it hurts, and you either move on, or the despair takes you too.

* ThisCannotBe: As his FamousLastWords, he proclaims "this is impossible" as he's being blasted to charcoal, helpless to resist, by Silver Fox.

* YourCheatingHeart: Han Lei is an adulterous bastard who not only sired at least one illegitimate child, but is so brazen about it that he actually escorts said child to a posh private school in public.

* EverythingsBetterWithPrincesses: They are ''very'' useful to Han Sen, not only for their martial prowess, but they're excellent masseuses too, among other things which Han Sen doesn't specify except that it makes him "feel good."

* SilkHidingSteel: She looks like a sweet, gentle woman that's only suited for being pampered, and would be terrible at combat. In fact, she only hunts ordinary creatures in Second God's Sanctuary to get by, and with protection from the Qins at that. When her bodyguard is lured away by an attack of three sacred blood beasts that shouldn't have been in the area, and she's set upon by over 20 kidnappers from the Zhan family, all of whom are strong enough to capture a sacred blood beast, she warns them that she will not go quietly, and when they attack, ''she mows through them, popping their heads off like blowing dandelions.''

* LetUsFightLikeGentlemen: Subverted, but very subtly. He lures his opponent in a "friendly duel" into thinking he had a fight and then unleashes his true power when his opponent is over-extended, looking to kill him.

* ShoutOut: Its name is Meowth.
