* HotScientist: Her ShamelessFanserviceGirl attitude towards nudity and [[SleepsInTheNude inability to comfortably sleep unless she's naked]] provides an ample number of opportunities for the story to show off what a curvy and overall atttractive body she has. Even her regular scientist outfit includes a tight shirt with a low neckline that constantly shows off her ample breasts.

* DarkSkinnedBlonde: She has brown skin and white hair.

* AmbiguouslyBi: More like a case of Ambiguously IfItsYouItsOkay. While her SingleTargetSexuality for Braveman is undoubtedly a big part of her character, whenever talking about GG, she seems so obsessed with highlighting how much of a curvaceous and breedable woman GG is, that it's a bit suspect if she's only doing it to highlight the girl's good points (albeit in an InnocentlyInsensitive way), or if GG is actually the only other person she's attracted to.

* {{Otaku}}: While her main focus is Braveman, the General actually has a strong appreciation for heroism in general, specifically those who fit into the {{tokusatsu}} genre like Braveman himself.

* HeroicBSOD: He spends the majority of an early chapter nearly unresponsive after [[AccidentalPervert accidentally groping the General]]. He eventually manages to snap out of his funk and figure out how to avoid risking another groping incident.

* MistakenForPedophile: Part of his ButtMonkey status is that he has an exaggerated form of this where just ''walking around'' while leaving his FaceOfAThug exposed frequently results in him being mistaken for a sex offender of some type, with the act of just standing near a young girl with her mom would get him detained as both a pedophile ''and'' a potential rapist. By the time the story starts he'd gotten used to being pulled over by the authorities just for trying to get groceries.

*** Of course, her first monster introduced on screen is very strong, smart, can evolve on the fly posseses a degree of in-universe plot armor... and is at best a uncontrollable animal or at worst a raging pervert

FantasticRacism: Played with. Has the typical robot vs human overlord mentaltiy, despite. He also seems to hold a disdain for "New-age" styled robots (Think Iron Man and Attila VS Iron Giant and R2D2) though he is aware of this flaw. Of course, it can also be compared to the disdain old folks hold for the new generation. The manga has leaned towards the latter.

* YouGottaHaveBlueHair: Her character design includes a mop of green hair. It rather sticks out from the more normal hues of the human cast, signifying how mentally [[MadScientist she isn't normal]].

* HandHidingSleeves: She usually wears an oversized lab coat that hides her hands.

** The Boss has genuinely destructive PsychicPowers, but he rarely if ever uses them, and is far too much of a chuunibyou to actually be useful.

** The titular Black General is capable of surviving huge amounts of damage (not her clothes though) but is obsessed with getting the hero Braveman to sleep with her, with every scheme she tries backfiring.

* VillainProtagonist: They're a group of villains trying to TakeOverTheWorld, and alongside the General they're the primary focus characters of the story, though they're more {{Anti Villain}}s who both have WellIntentionedExtremist goals and NobleDemon attitudes about achieving them.

* AboveTheInfluence: Despite her utter obsession with Braveman, anytime a situation arises where something happens to leaves his body and mind completely at her mercy, such as temporary IdentityAmnesia, she's incapable of bringing herself to actually do anything, as she wants him to fall for her of his own free will. She'll resume putting on the moves once he's back to normal, even insinuating she did something while he couldn't fight back, but during those situations she's too good deep down to abuse her chances.

* BlackComedyRape: Due to being half-tentacle rape monster, she has an instinctual desire to molest or penetrate other people, though her general naivety due to being a case of BornAsAnAdult means she thinks tentacle rape is a display of love and affection, something that the other characters find horrifying but is overall portrayed humorously. It's especially notable with [[spoiler:Licht, the son of Mother Justice]], where after violating him in front of several people, including [[spoiler:Mother Justice herself]], following being doused with an aphrodisiac, she comes to believe she loves this person. Rather unfortunate for the target of her affection, since despite reciprocating the "love" they developed a TraumaButton about her tentacles, with X-chan failing to understand why tentacle raping the person she loves is wrong.
