He's lacking in self-esteem, socially awkward, and terrified of his own abilities and the day when his SecretIdentity is finally leaked to the public. He hit the SuperpowerLottery and is determined to make up for his past mistakes by helping as many people as he can. His biological family, while extremely important, was a virtual unknown on Krypton due to FantasticRacism. While Izuku is fascinated by his home planet's culture, he's not bound by his family's legacy and is extremely close to both of his adoptive parents. Lexi is enrolling in the Support Course as a side hobby in order to satisfy her desire to observe Izuku. She's confident, manipulative, and wields a vast network of connections that allowed her to dig up Izuku's entire life story on a whim. She's disappointed that people ''don't'' recognize who she is on sight and her Quirk is ill-suited for combat, deciding to rule the world through her company's influence rather than trying to take it over with supervillainy or saving it every Tuesday. Her parents are neglectful party animals and her grandfather is one of the most famous men to have ever walked on Earth. Lexi is implied to be constantly living in Lex's shadow, making her determined to establish a legacy worthy of her heritage. She's also the heir to one of the most powerful corporations in the world and is exceptionally ruthless and capable when she puts her mind to something. She also terrifies Izuku thoroughly enough to make him pass out in the snow, which full blown supervillains failed to do.
* RichBitch: She's one of the richest teenagers in the world and will happily shove a reporter's microphone into his mouth for interrupting her manga reading time. She also has no problems threatening Izuku and his family and tends to show complete disdain or indifference to anyone who is not Mercy or Izuku.

Izuku met All Might first but turned down the offer to become his successor, while Nedzu scouted Mirio out as a particularly exemplary student who would be an ideal bearer of One For All.

* FullFrontalAssault: Because of how his Quirk makes him phase through his clothes, Mirio spars with Izuku entirely in the nude.

* MajorInjuryUnderreaction: Downplayed. He cusses up a storm when he breaks his arm by punching Izuku, but he remains incredibly chipper and jokingly asks Tamaki to kiss the pain away. He's also fully aware that he'll pass out from shock the moment he stops being chipper. Even then, he forgets his hand is broken when he gives Izuku a friendly pat on the shoulder.

* NoSell: His Quirk enables him to remain totally unaffected by all of Izuku's attacks. Heat vision and punches pass right through him and he can simply phase out of the ice when he's turned into a HumanPopsicle.

* PerpetualSmiler: ''Nothing'' seems to be able to get this guy down. When he's informed that he's late to class, his response is a cheerful, "Oh no!" and he seems to be completely okay with walking around in the nude. He's also remarkably nonchalant about breaking his whole arm by punching Izuku, all while continuing to point out that he'll soon collapse from shock the moment he loses his composure.

* SempaiKohai: The senpai to Izuku's kouhai. He serves as a far more experienced foil to Izuku, taking up a mentor role to him alongside Tamaki.
* SirSwearsALot: Temporarily becomes this after breaking his arm in his fight with Izuku.

* WeakButSkilled: He doesn't have raw stopping power when compared to Izuku, but years of practice with his Quirk make him nigh-untouchable. In fact, his fight with Izuku is a complete stalemate until Mirio tries to sock Izuku, which ends badly for Mirio.

** Thanks to Nedzu, Tamaki ends up as a mentor figure for Izuku, whereas canon only gave them a few interactions with each other.

* CommonalityConnection: Nedzu assigned Tamaki to be Izuku's mentor precisely because of their shared anxiety issues in hopes that they'll work them out together.
* CynicalMentor: Officially, he's been assigned as a mentor to Izuku. But Tamaki is afraid of looking him in the eye, much less having the nerve to offer actual advice, until Mirio and Nejire push him into it.
