Naruto and Hinata's daughter and the younger sister of Boruto. Cute, kind and considerate of others, Himawari is the spitting image of her mother, the only difference being that she has inherited her father's blue eyes and "whiskers". Unlike her older brother, Himawari is a lot more patient and understanding of her father's busy schedule, though she yearns for him to be home all the same. Despite this, Himawari is not without a temper, and if one manages to actually get her angry...run.

She is the only person that Boruto will never act unruly around and the love the siblings have for one another is unrivaled.

Her smile and face shape also resembles Naruto's.

* TheAtoner: Feels horrible for his actions during the Chunnin Exams and is trying to get back in everyone's good graces. [[spoiler:He succeeds.]]
* TheEngineer: He has devised many different kinds of advanced ninja tools which he uses in battle.
* CyberNinja: A less flashy version of what normally comes with this trope but he relies primarily on high tech ninja tools in battle.
* {{Foil}}: To Orochimaru, both are (albeit a different degree of) {{Mad Scientist}}s who constantly experiment with ninjutsu in order to understand it better; but while Orochimaru performed unethical human experimentation and his main goal is obtaining power, Katasuke's goal is knowledge itself and to find ways to improve the quality of ninjas. He becomes a more typical evil scientist during the Chuunin Exams, due to a genjutsu being put on him.
* GadgeteerGenius: He has developed many different devices and experimental ninja tools.
* ManChild: The Anime portrays him as this, as he always has a child-like enthusiastic disposition and also he is shown as a collector of videogames and shares his passion of them with Boruto. Other characters lampshade this.
* NiceGuy: Despite being eccentric, he's a good friend of the Uzumaki family and genuinely wants to use science to aid the world at large. To his colleagues, it became very surprising when he starts acting out of character during the Chunnin Exam, [[spoiler:revealed to be the result of being placed in a Genjutsu by Koji and Ao]]. He goes back to his "normal" personality after being freed.
* NiceJobBreakingItHero: Downplayed but his inventions were stolen by Kara to make their organization stronger, even unknowingly aiding one of their Outer members, [[spoiler:Ao,]] with his prosthetics.
* PowerArmor: He has developed an experimental suit which allows him to absorb ninjutsu.
* PowerNullifier: He devised a gauntlet capable of absorbing and negating ninjutsu after observing Momoshiki's Rinnengan do so.

Akita Inuzuka is a kunouichi in Konoha's Science Ninja Tool development team. Her partner is Chamaru, a ninken who lost one of his legs on a mission.

* TheBeastmaster: The basis of the Inuzuka clan's secret techniques is combining ones prowess with a dog trained in ninjutsu from a young age.
* CanineCompanion: Everyone in her clan has at least one of these. Chamaru is hers.
* MeaningfulName: "Akita" happens to be a particular dog breed that is thought to have originated in a region of Japan. Also, "Inuzuka" is literally translated "dog mound", both referencing the clan's AnimalMotif.

* ArtificialHuman: Like Mitsuki, he is a synthetic human created by Orochimaru [[spoiler:and is in fact identical to Mitsuki himself]].
* CoolMask: He wears a demon mask to hide his face initially [[spoiler: because he is identical to Mitsuki]]
* FlawedPrototype: Unlike Mitsuki, he does not have [[spoiler: sage power, making him genetically inferior to his flawless younger sibling]].

* MorphWeapon: His armor can be used as a medium for his ninjutsu, transforming and encasing his enemy to trap them with his Armor Eater technique.

* HomingProjectile: One of his specialties is leaving a magnetized mark of iron sand on an enemy and using it to attract his other attacks.
* JerkAss: He's extremely rude and dismissive to his opponents; before his match with Chocho he even mocks her because her parents will have to watch her humiliating defeat. He later dismisses Mitsuki's jutsus as mere magic tricks.
* MagnetismManipulation: He wields the Iron Sand with the Magnet Release. Using this principle he can make a unavoidable piercing spear of Iron Sand by marking enemies and using attractive forces to direct it.
* MarionetteMaster: He is a wielder of the Sand Village's signature puppet ninjutsu technique in the movie version, but in the manga and anime this trait is passed to Araya and he solely wields the Iron Sand.
* OffscreenMomentOfAwesome: He's briefly seen defeating two of the new generation from Konoha in the Chunnin Exams: Metal Lee and Chocho. Subverted in the anime, which shows the fights in full (though they're not very long regardless).

* RapunzelHair: Although hidden by her hood, her hair is actually very long and almost down to her ankles.

* TheWorfEffect: The novel seems to suggest she is perhaps the strongest and most talented on her team. So when Shikadai is said to have easily defeated her, it only hyped his character up and showed how strong he was before his fight with Boruto.

The man Shin is working for, who Shin refers to as his "father". He was a former test subject of Orochimaru. After developing a fixation on the Uchiha clan, more specifically Itachi, he took the Uchiha name for himself and severed ties with Orochimaru, taking his "sons" with him. Believing that peace was detrimental to human evolution, Shin began a plot to revive the Akatsuki so that the ensuing conflict would be a catalyst to further his beliefs.

The main antagonist of ''Anime/BorutoNarutoTheMovie'', [[BigBadDuumvirate alongside his servant Kinshiki]], they are members of the mysterious clan of celestial beings, the Otsutsukis. Arrogant, sadistic and psychotic, Momoshiki will stop at nothing to accomplish his goals and considers anyone other than himself to be insignificant. He interrupts the Chunnin Exams in order to capture Naruto, or more specifically, what's sealed inside of Naruto.

* AdaptationalBadass: He is a more dangerous of a foe in the ''Boruto'' anime than he is in the movie. In the movie, once he transforms and fights Naruto and Sasuke, the two almost completely wipe the floor with him with minimal difficulty, but allow Boruto to step up to fight due to them both being exhausted. In the anime, he is much more capable, able to actually fight back very well against the two, and after they unleash their strongest attacks on him, he gets back up and proceeds to fight them and the other Kage before being defeated by Boruto. Also, Boruto in the movie was able to easily kill him using his special Rasengan with a boost from Naruto. In the anime, Boruto has to actually fight Momoshiki to leave an opening to hit him, and when he does, Momoshiki counters with a Rasengan he absorbed from Katatsuke's shinobi gauntlet.
* AxCrazy: He keeps it sealed up usually, but he positively ''drools'' at killing innocents and wanton destruction.

After one too many failures, Shizuma attacks Hachiya and leaves him for dead. This prompts him to re-evaluate his own life and become one of the good guys.

The self-proclaimed Seven Ninja Swordsmen of the Mist were formed by Shizuma Hoshigaki, the group's main objective was to start a coup d'état in Kirigakure to overthrow the Sixth Mizukage and replace him with Kagura Karatachi, as well as return the village to the era of the "Bloody Mist". Ultimately, the rogue group was defeated and their rebellion stopped before it could actually begin, being written off as "just a scuffle among kids". Afterwards, the group's original members were imprisoned in a correction center to undergo rehabilitation.

The main antagonist of ''Anime/BorutoNarutoTheMovie'', [[BigBadDuumvirate alongside his servant Kinshiki]], they are members of the mysterious clan of celestial beings, the Otsutsukis. Arrogant, sadistic and psychotic, Momoshiki will stop at nothing to accomplish his goals and considers anyone other than himself to be insignificant. He interrupts the Chunnin Exams in order to capture Naruto, or more specifically, what's sealed inside of Naruto.

* AdaptationalBadass: He is a more dangerous of a foe in the ''Boruto'' anime than he is in the movie. In the movie, once he transforms and fights Naruto and Sasuke, the two almost completely wipe the floor with him with minimal difficulty, but allow Boruto to step up to fight due to them both being exhausted. In the anime, he is much more capable, able to actually fight back very well against the two, and after they unleash their strongest attacks on him, he gets back up and proceeds to fight them and the other Kage before being defeated by Boruto. Also, Boruto in the movie was able to easily kill him using his special Rasengan with a boost from Naruto. In the anime, Boruto has to actually fight Momoshiki to leave an opening to hit him, and when he does, Momoshiki counters with a Rasengan he absorbed from Katatsuke's shinobi gauntlet.
* AxCrazy: He keeps it sealed up usually, but he positively ''drools'' at killing innocents and wanton destruction.
* BigBad: He's the main antagonist of the ''Boruto'' movie, seeking to retrace Kaguya's chakra energy and collect the scattered energy of the Shinju in order to become all-powerful and immortal. Him, Kinshiki, and Urashiki showed by themselves why Kaguya was scared enough she created an army of White Zetsus; to fight off the ''entire'' clan.
* ContrastingSequelAntagonist: Kaguya had good intentions for her children and humanity before her MotiveDecay and fear of the entire clan consumed her while Toneri was motivated by misguided loyalty to his family. In contrast, Momoshiki has no higher goals than stealing power and has no care for his father figure or the rest of his clan. A mentality that the clan grooms the current generation to have.
* DimensionalTraveler: He can access Kaguya's dimension and other worlds, presumably with his Rinnegan.

The major difference is Boruto learns to appreciate the nature and benefits of hard work and abandons this mindset, ultimately becoming a better person in the end; Momoshiki sticks with his mindset and it ultimately gets him [[spoiler:killed.]]

The loyal servant of Momoshiki, who raised him as a son. Silent, strong and serious to a fault, Kinshiki follows his master wherever he goes and attacks anyone who displeases Momoshiki. Of the two, Kinshiki is more skilled at Taijutsu while Momoshiki is more skilled at Ninjutsu.

* BodyHorror: His muscles get torn up from breaking out of the Kages' binding jutsu. Despite that, he still has enough strength to chop down his planet's Shinju tree.
* TheBrute: He is massive enough for Momoshiki to sit on his shoulder, and skilled in Taijutsu. To give an idea of how skilled he is, he's able to fight Sasuke to a standstill and can briefly fight off several of the Kage off.

He also happens to be the grandson of the fourth Mizukage Yagura Karatachi who's trying his best to avoid his grandfather's heritage.

* TheAce: One of the best shinobi in the Mist village. He qualifies to be one of the Seven Ninja Swordsmen of the Mist and is a strong contender to be the next Mizukage.
* BerserkButton: In a sense. Getting into a heated swordfight awakens his grandfather's bloodlust in him causing him to go out of control.

After one too many failures, Shizuma attacks Hachiya and leaves him for dead. This prompts him to re-evaluate his own life and become one of the good guys.

The self-proclaimed Seven Ninja Swordsmen of the Mist were formed by Shizuma Hoshigaki, the group's main objective was to start a coup d'état in Kirigakure to overthrow the Sixth Mizukage and replace him with Kagura Karatachi, as well as return the village to the era of the "Bloody Mist". Ultimately, the rogue group was defeated and their rebellion stopped before it could actually begin, being written off as "just a scuffle among kids". Afterwards, the group's original members were imprisoned in a correction center to undergo rehabilitation.

* ArcVillain: As the group that Shizuma is leading, they also count as the villains of the Field Trip Arc.
* JapaneseDelinquents: They aren't too far removed from a band of incredibly powerful delinquents.

Like his clansman Kisame, he's also unfailingly polite, even to enemies, and insists on proper honorifics being used at all times. Under that, he's a dangerous psychotic murderer with no care for anyone or anything save his own amusement.
* ForTheEvulz: Why does he want a war so bad? "It's fun! Why else?"
* FusionDance: [[spoiler:Forced by the sentient Samehada blade to merge together when Shizuma proves to be too "weak". While this powers him up, Shizuma loses all reasoning in his new form. Boruto and Kagura still manage to defeat him and force the two apart.]]

Something similar Orochimaru was capable of but Mitsuki isn't as twisted and dark.
* MathematiciansAnswer: When Sarada asks whether his one known parent is his mother or father, Mitsuki responds with "Yes."
* MeaningfulName: Mitsuki is derived from the words "Mi" meaning Snake and "Tsuki" meaning Moon. This of course is a reference to both his father Orochimaru and his moon motif to contrast Boruto's sun motif. The character for the "Tsuki" part used to use the word for "Vessel" before a MeaningfulRename in his DayInTheLimelight.
