* DarkSkinnedRedhead: Red hair, dark skin. She's a FieryRedhead and her dark skin is used as shorthand to show how long she's been on Earth (roughly three months by the time Shiro arrives).

* PlatonicLifePartners: He and Kiki, to a degree. [[spoiler:The last episode reveals they spend an unspecified amount of time looking for Shiro together, but they never wind up romantically linked.]]

* ZeroPercentApprovalRating: No one actually likes Ginias as he is a ruthless and narricisstic bastard who cares about no one but himself. Aina had some feeling for him as he is her brother but after he attempted to murder her, she lost any love or connection for him. No one mourned him when he was killed by Shiro and Aina.

* CharacterDevelopment: Shiro started out as a soldier who saw that everyone who follows Zeon was evil. When he met Aina he views changed as he saw that the enemy can be understood and attempt to reconcile for peace instead of complete bloodshed.
