* AnythingThatMoves: Poke is introduced thinking about 'playing' with everyone in a room... including several [[FantasticFoxes fox girls]], and [[MyFriendsAndZoidberg Largo]].

* {{Bishounen}}: One of his faces. Which causes problems when he's attacked by a {{squee}}-ing horde of fangirls in the middle of a mission.

* BoobsOfSteel: She's one of the bustiest characters in the cast, and is probably the toughest female character who isn't a MagicalGirl or otherwise inhumanly strong.

* OverprotectiveDad: When he finds out his daughter has a boyfriend, he immediately does a background search, all while yelling at the poor boy over the phone.

* {{GIRL}}: Twisted all around. [[spoiler:She played a male in Endgames, who seduced Piro's character. Then they got to talking in real life, and she sent him pictures. ''Then'' she told him she was actually a guy, and the pictures were fake. THEN Piro found out she was indeed female and the pictures were real, causing him to freak out.]]

* NaiveEverygirl: Her experience with being a MagicalGirl comes from watching {{Shoujo}} anime, which is very different, so say the least, from how magical girls work in ''MegaTokyo's'' 'verse.

* NiceGuy: Piro's unfailingly nice to everybody- that is, unless you're [[PoisonousFriend Miho]], and he even starts coming around to her eventually.

* GrumpyBear: Cynical and pessimistic, Matsui is usually prepared to imagine all the ways in which things could possibly go wrong. Given the nature of his job, this quality probably serves him well.

* {{Tsundere}}: Peek is the aloof and unapproachable 'tsun', while Peek is the easily approached, and bedded, 'dere'.

* RantInducingSlight:
** When on her first radio appearance, she snaps at the host and fellow guest mocking "pathetic little fanboys". She got a ''lot'' of fans from that.
** Later, when Piro handles her fanboys, she angrily assumes he was just doing it to get laid.

* DeafComposer: It's revealed in the official side comic Tokyo Threat Documentation Project that Ashe is actually a very talented drummer, despite being deaf.

* {{Glamour}}: Those members of the clan who choose to hide their {{Kitsune}} features appear to be able to use some form of glamour to appear completely human. Thanks to the WeirdnessCensor of the setting, even those who choose to live openly are not noticed or are presumed to be cosplaying by most of the populace.

* {{Kitsune}}: All of the Sawataris are kitsune, with varying numbers of tails. Some hide their kitsune features in order to pass as human, while others choose to live openly. Every member of the family, including Megumi and her grandmother, have freckles resembling whiskers.

** Second, he manages to deduce ''what'' Miho is: [[spoiler:Based on the police's reaction to a MagicalGirl, and the comment "never let anything get zombified that's hard to kill," he comes to the conclusion that she's an undead MagicalGirl]]. He's at least half right on that. [[spoiler: Or as we learn later, completely right. Miho is stuck in a cycle of death and rebirth as the original IllGirl. So every time another story has that trope, she must live it.]]

* AdaptationDecay: [[invoked]][[spoiler:In-universe. Her story, the tale of an innocent girl dying of a nameless disease, created the IllGirl trope and countless imitations. But that was just the very ''end'' of her story. She tells Kimiko that she had life and love, and was not the innocent little thing she's remembered as]].
* AmbiguousInnocence: Despite her manipulative nature, she has a very strong reputation for being a sweet, innocent girl in a bad situation. [[spoiler:It's this perception that created the IllGirl trope]]. Miho disagrees.

* AnthropomorphicPersonification: [[spoiler:It seems she began as one (being the physical embodiment of the [[IllGirl Dying Heroine]] archetype) but she hates it and might have at least partially transcended this form by deliberately acting [[BadassAdorable against]] [[ManipulativeBastard her character]] [[TheDreaded archetype]]. It is also possible that Ping, Junko and Yuki's actions from chapter 10 may result in changing that or at least making her the embodiment of a different archetype.]]

* DoomMagnet: [[spoiler:As the embodiment of the "Tragic IllGirl heroine", every "story" she is in ends in tragedy]].

* IHaveTheHighGround: See above link; it's something of a hobby.
* IHaveThisFriend: She tells Kimiko a WhatIf story about Kotone (the IllGirl Kimiko is voicing). Since she was talking about herself before swerving into Kotone ([[spoiler:and Kotone is one of her expies]]), it's pretty clear who the story is really about.
* IllGirl: Possibly [[spoiler:not just ''an'' IllGirl, but ''[[ArchetypalCharacter the]]'' IllGirl. Apparently her story was so great that it became more real than she was--forcing her to come back to life and relive it, only to die over and over again. Kotone is specifically mentioned to be one of her "major character representations," and it's implied all other {{Ill Girl}}s are the same]].

* ReiAyanamiExpy: Checks nearly every box on the list (LoveInterest to the hero, [[TheStoic stoicness]], an ambiguously supernatural nature, [[SupernaturalGoldEyes unusual eyes]], [[IllGirl suffering from an illness]], and [[TookALevelInKindness eventually becoming nicer]]), though she's a fair bit darker and more proactive than the norm. [[spoiler: Ironically, Miho herself is an InUniverse FountainOfExpies, with multiple fictional characters appearing or being mentioned who are inspired by her "story".]]
* ResurrectiveImmortality: [[spoiler: As long as her fans believe in her IllGirl "story", she'll keep returning to life no matter how many times she dies. The method doesn't even seem to be important, since she came back from being blown to smithereens by Ed's {{BFG}} with no issue. As of Chapter 12 and her story being "broken" by Piro and Yuki's actions, however, this may no longer be the case.]]

* RapunzelHair: Had this prior to the ''Endgames'' fallout. Piro has a drawing of her immediately post-haircut in his sketchbook, which Yuki scribbled comments on. [[spoiler:After the confrontation with Ed and the zombie horde at the end of Chapter 9, which culminated in her apparently being blown up by a {{BFG}}, she reappears several weeks later in the hospital she was supposed to have been at the entire time, with her long hair once again intact.]]

* RapunzelHair: Even when she ties it up, it easily goes past her waist.

* {{Meganekko}}: Usually wears contacts, [[http://megatokyo.com/strip/757 but is quite cute with glasses]].

* YouGottaHaveBlueHair: Color panels make it clear that her hair is a dark purple color, though it can often appear black in the comic's normal black-and-white style.

* ACupAngst / DCupDistress: She gets upset that Piro ignores her, and subconsciously assumes it's because she doesn't look like Erika (with whom Piro had been spending a lot of time). The end result, well... see below.

* YouGottaHaveBlueHair: Her [[http://forums.megatokyo.com/index.php?showtopic=1731211&view=findpost&p=4790154 hair has changed]] multiple times in the series, going from silver to hot pink, then later to turquoise, what appears to be black, and finally...
