Added DiffLines:

* AmbiguouslyBi: Kate was previously married to a man, though her onscreen relationships with men seem platonic. However, in series 3 it's easy to read Kate as being into Lindsay Denton, though nothing comes of this. In the final series, she also repeatedly flirts with Jo Davidson, presenting herself as attracted to her and even jokes that [[ButchLesbian her short hair helps]]. This was a ploy to get close with Jo (an open lesbian), though again it's easy to question if Kate might not have been a bit interested in her for real too. Although creator Jed Mercutio says Kate's straight, many queer female fans of the show read her as at least bisexual.

This is ''brutally'' subverted and turns into KickTheDog when she turns on [[spoiler:Hana and uses her occupation against her by bullying her into implicating herself in Tim's murder.]]

* StuffedIntoTheFridge: She and Arnott get friendly almost immediately - then she's violently killed off in front of him.

* StuffedIntoTheFridge: Initially played with before being played straight. Sure, it looks like she's been murdered by her criminal associates and that blackmailing Tony is just an added bonus. But, by Season 4, it turns out that this has happened to ''many more'' women both before and after. [[spoiler:Notably her body is kept in cold storage and is left there till series 6, making this a quite literal example]]

Not an example. Psycho Lesbian is about a villainous character who is a villain (or at least a worse vallain) because she's a lesbian. While Jo is a lesbian and a dirty cop, the show doesn't imply that she's either of these because she is the other.

* PsychoLesbian: She's a lesbian who was sleeping with her subordinate and a CorruptCop.
