* ManiuplativeBastard: While he doesn't outright lie, she works his silver tongue throughout the entire saga on the Moon, only revealing information when it'd be most effective and changing his wording when he wants to appeal to certain individuals. For example, [[spoiler:when he first makes himself known to Cairngorm, he tells the Gem that Ghost's leftover inclusions may have been affecting their judgement and actions...only to then tell them hundreds of years later that they were likely just going through a lot of mental instability regardless of the leftovers from Ghost]].

!!Single Sunspot Types

* BizarreAlienBiology: Phos later discovers they communicate by whistling on Earth. The sound itself doesn't come from their mouths, which are always closed, but from an almost invisible hole located on their necks. They also seem to be made of clouds and dissolve only to regenerate on the Moon, which makes sense given that they are really disembodied souls.

* TheArcher: Their normal equipment.
* AssimilationPlot: Unknown, but according to the legends the Admirabilis and Sensei tell this is their reason for being. They are the spirit of humanity, willing to regain their flesh and bone. [[spoiler: In reality, that's not the case. All they want to do is pass on, even if it would entail the complete annihilation of the human race to do so.]]
** By the late series, the legends become true: [[spoiler:the Lunarians decide to assimilate ''all'' of the remaining sentient races into their own race. Both the Gems and what remains of the Admirabilis who've kept their intelligence were spirited away to the moon and converted into Lunarians. This was for the purpose of isolating Phos, who's in the process of becoming Sensei's replacement.]]

* TheBeastmaster: Towards the captured Admirabilis.

* NeutralEvil: Being the "absolute scum of humanity", they will only act in accordance to their own self-interests. Regardless of how much suffering they inflict on other species, they're too bored to actually find any amusement from it, [[spoiler:to the point that they're willing to kill ''everything'' related to humanity, but not out of spite or malice, but to end that boredom.]]

''The Party At the End'' as a book is Zoisite collecting Ladra's meticulously photographing the last moments of Lunarian culture.
