Seeing as 'Kick the Son of a Bitch' is no longer a 'valid' trope, I decided to re-add a moment of Bridges' that I'm rather sure qualifies as an instance of 'Pay Evil Unto Evil'.

* ObviouslyEvil: When Bridges first appears, between his interest in potential military applications for Elise, his [[PoliticallyIncorrectVillain misogyny]], and his subtle insults towards Masrani, it's pretty clear that he's a bad guy.

Added DiffLines:

* PayEvilUntoEvil: When two poachers try to kill Sobek, he has the older one fed to Carnifex.

* KickTheSonOfABitch: When two poachers try to kill Sobek, he has the older one fed to Carnifex.
** [[spoiler: This also finally happens to him when he finds himself trapped in the caves, forever, with no way out.]]

* AmbiguousDisorder: its clear from the times we see her point of view that she's dealing with a litany of issues, such as memory and focus problems, being easily overstimulated, and a propensity for self harm when stressed, some of which began to show before she was abused making it more difficult for the reader to decipher how much of it is a result of her trauma and how much of it is from an underlining disorder.

* OverProtectiveDad: whenever Elise's breeding opportunities are brought up he starts toeing the line into this. Toeing the line in this case being [[spoiler: almost charging at a fully grown male t-rex with no backup just because he was being "to friendly"]]

While we can use redirects (e.g. Big Little Sister and Big Sister Bully), we're not supposed to edit trope names. Also, Widow Woman is no longer a trope and Jerk With A Heart Of Gold is a Sub Trope to Jerkass (which is revealed on Super Trope).

* BigLittleSister: Despite being magnitudes larger and more mature than Rosie will ever be, the little girl declares she will be a CoolBigSis to Elise.

* [[BigLittleBrother Big Little Sister]]: Despite being magnitudes larger and more mature than Rosie will ever be, the little girl declares she will be a CoolBigSis to Elise.

* {{Jerkass}}: Sobek is rude and antagonistic to Elise, seeing her as unnatural, and all he seems interested in is fighting. [[spoiler: Once he gets the fight he wants, [[TookALevelInKindness he becomes more agreeable]].]]
* JerkWithAHeartOfGold: [[spoiler: After he gets the fight he wants and mellows out. Sobek turns out to have a sense of honor and does not hold a grudge against Rexy for beating him in a fair fight. He even grows to respect Elise for walking away from a fight with him, to the point where he becomes her fishing teacher, and seems to get along all right with his keeper.]]

* MirrorCharacter: Because Elise suffered from mental damage in confinement, she suffers from some instabilities. As a result, she sees some of herself in Bridges, who has mental issues of his own (although [[AxCrazy much]] [[LackOfEmpathy darker]] than Elise's). Hart also points out that, repentant as she may be, she got off easily for some truly horrific behavior, much like Bridges does.

* NotSoDifferent: Like Bridges' plans for Elise, Carnifex was deliberately reared to be an AxCrazy weapon.

* TykeBomb: Like Bridges' plans for Elise, Carnifex was deliberately reared to be an AxCrazy weapon.

* NotSoDifferent: It's suggested that Muldoon used to be more like Owen before [[TheSociopath the Big One]] killed Abilene, the first raptor leader, and forcibly took control of the remains of her old pack. After that, he lost hope that raptors could be safely displayed. Owen's concern for Elise is also mirrored with Bridges' concern for Sobek.

* NotSoDifferent: Claire dislikes ''Spinosaurus'' due to Madre del Diablo's rampage...not completely unlike how Bridges hates ''T. rexes'' because one almost killed his mother, in both cases judging a whole dinosaur species due to one individual's actions. Unlike Bridges, Claire is able to overcome this prejudice enough to let Sobek move in.

* FluffyTamer: Even though he works for the villains, Romano is shown to care for the animals under his watch as much as his counterparts on Isla Nublar, including the ''T. rexes'', who Bridges considers little more than breeding stock.
