How "Awesome" must be a Mc Name to qualify? Does it need better criteria? Is this just YMMV?

The wick check shows that the majority of uses don't elaborate what's awesome about the name whatsoever and another quarter... still doesn't, but also adds the "you totally get it, right?" energy.

Most uses are just gushing in the Character pages. Some are redundant to Names to Run Away from Really Fast or Meaningful Name.

Only about 1/7th of uses have In-Universe acknowledgment or something that would sound objective.

• Giant Equals Invincible -> In essentially a Real Life lampshading of this trope, one sauropod closely related to Argentinosaurus was named "Dreadnoughtus", which translates to "Fears Nothing".
• Lord Error-Prone -> Darker than Black's Gai Kurosawa (not his real name; he chose it to sound cool) likes to think he's a gritty, badass gumshoe P.I. in the style of a Raymond Chandler novel, that he was kicked out of the police force for thinking outside the box, and his Perpetual Poverty is all part of the romance of his lifestyle.
• Characters.Max Payne -> Awesome McCoolname: "Max Payne" indeed. Characters are well aware of it and will comment on it.
• Characters.Pacific Rim Humans ->
  • Awesome Mc Cool Name: Invoked. He (Hannibal) chose his name for his favorite historical figure and his second favorite Szechuan restaurant in Brooklyn.
  • Names to Run Away from Really Fast: He (Hannibal) is notable in that out of all the humans with an Awesome McCoolname, he is the only one deliberately using a pseudonym.

• Woolseyism.Live Action TV -> Since, in the run-up to the show's release, English-speaking fans had latched onto "Gridon" and thought it sounded cool.

• Characters.Cyberpunk 2077 Main Characters And Allies -> Awesome McCoolname: Not his birth name, but "Johnny Silverhand" definitely rolls off the tongue rather nicely.
