Tomoko "Hina" Ōhinata is a first-year student of Kamiyama High School and the newest member of the Classics Club during their second year. Formerly an underclassman of Oreki, Ibara and Fukube at Kaburaya Middle School, her surreptitious quitting from the club after less than two months is the subject of the fifth volume of the light novels.

* SpoiledSweet: Her family owns an enormous farming business and is loaded, but Chitanda is still an absolute angel.

* OverwhelmingException: Though not immovable to say the least, Oreki is ostensibly unable to deny Chitanda anything she asks for, which is something that he does not extend to anyone else.

* HimeCut: To match her wealthy upbringing she has long hair and sidelocks, though the bangs are a little messy. It's probably from all that energetic curiosity-seeking.

* LastLousyPoint: He is very strong-minded about his quest for laziness, and can fend off anyone that tries to barge in... except for Chitanda. He cannot stop her, he cannot dissuade her, he cannot say no to her, and he cannot rid himself of her. She's just ''that'' appealing to him, and she ticks on every box he has.

* CoolBigSis: To Oreki, and proverbially, to her underclassmen at school. It's shown that while she can be overbearing to her brother, she is very doting and kind towards him, and dislikes when people hurt him.
